2 Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya- Chitrakoot World Sight Day 11 th Oct 456 million people in India have problems with their vision which is need to be corrected. The numbers are large and need to be tackled immediately. To throw focus on visual impairment and blindness, the second Thursday of October is annually designated as World Sight Day. On October 11, 2012, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya celebrated the day under the kind presence of Chief Guest, Mr. Sampat Kumar Jhabbar, Director, M.K.Internationl eye bank with the theme "The Integrated Eye Care Team Working Together to Eliminate Avoidable Blindness" focused on women and children comprehensive eye care. On this occasion in all 24 Sadguru Vision Centers patient with refractive error were provided spectacles and referral done for those in need of surgical intervention. PMOA workshop: October, th and 36 th batch of Paramedical Ophthalmic Assistants (PMOAs) underwent 6 days refresher training program during October month. Total 68 participants from Punjab & Chhatisgarh participated in training programs. The main purpose of the training program is to orient the Government Paramedical ophthalmic assistants on skills pertaining to primary eye care delivery and expose them to recent advances in ophthalmology at primary, secondary and tertiary care level. Inauguration of 90 th Tara Netra Daan Yagna- 17 th Nov Tara Netra Yagna is a base hospital surgical eye camp started by the founder Gurudev during early 1950 s and since then it has been celebrated as yearly event by Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust. Chairman, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Shri Vishad.P.Mafatlal inaugurated the Tara Netra Dan Yagna at Chitrakoot. On the day Dr. Rajiv Raman, Medical Director, Director Vitero-Retina, Choithram Netralaya, Indore, was honored by nominating him as a member of Advisory Board, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya by Mr. Vishad. 3 Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya- Chitrakoot MPSOS Conference Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya recently concluded a very successful annual M P State ophthalmology conference held on 3 4 Nov, 2012 at Jabalpur. Dr. Mohit Bansal received DNS Chaudhary Award for best of best paper of MP SOS He also won P.L. Dubey Award for best free paper in Retina session this year. Dr. Sudhanshu Banka s free paper was judged as best in Cornea session. Sadguru made its presence felt by presenting 10 papers, 1 video and 9 Posters in various subspecialties. Apart from this our faculty was involved in panel discussion, charring session and delivered talks on various topics. 6th Annual Symposium (COSI) 6th Annual Symposium was orgranised by Community Ophthalmology Society of India (COSI) at Venu Eye Institute & Research Centre, New Delhi from 30 th November-1 st December The theme of the conference was Implementing Primary Eye Care - Approached and Challenges". Mr. Vijay Singh of Centre for community ophthalmology represented Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya and did presentation on Primay Eye Care through Vision Center. On the occasion Dr. B.K.Jain, Director and Trustee, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust was elected as Vice-president and Member- Award selection committee of COSI. Consultancy visits 26th & 27th November 2012 Visit to Sitapur Eye Hospital, Sitapur as a part of IAPB Capacity Building Project follow-up. The visiting team included Dr.Elesh, Administartor, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalya & Mr. D. Subramanyam, Senior Program Manager, Centre for Community Ophthalmology department. During two days visit the team observed improvement in systems and progress of the hospital 23rd December 2013 Vision 2020: Right to Sight India organized Central Zone meeting at Seva Sadan Eye Hospital, Bhopal. The agenda for the meeting was annual conference of Vision 2020 to be held at Bhopal during April The meeting was attended by Dr.B.K Jain, Board member & Central Zone representative, Vision 2020 India and Mr. D. Subramanyam, Center for Community Ophthalmology. 21st & 22nd December 2013 Visit to Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya as a part of IAPB Capacity Building Project follow-up. 4 Jankikund Chikitsalaya- Chitrakoot Inauguration of New JKC OPD Under the aegis of the trust, Jankikund Chikitsalya has inaugurated New JKC OPD in the Jankikund Hospital campus on 02 nd Nov, The OPD was inaugurated by the trust s renowned stakeholder and donor Mr. Bacchu Bhai Kotecha, Maruti trust, Leicester, U.K. Family Planning (Laproscopic tubectomy) Camp Laparoscopic tubectomy surgery in India is considered as the safest method for permanent pregnancy control. Jankikund Chikitsalaya has organized 3 LTT camps on 19 th Nov, 12 th Dec and 31 st Dec, Dr. M.M.Pandey and Dr. Devendra Singh, Chief Surgeon, District Hospital, Satna performed the procedures. Total 59 patients were benefited from the camp.

5 Shree Raghuveer Mandir Trust- Chitrakoot Annakoot Mahotsav celebration at Raghuveer Mandir Under the aegis of the Trust, Raghuveer Mandir Trust celebrated Annakoot Mahotsav on 14th November, On this day many varieties of food items were offered to Lord Krishna for prosperity of life, this day is also called "ANNAKOOT" meaning heap of food items. Shri Raghuveer Mandir Trust offered around 508 types of food times to Lord Krishna with various mantras and hymns. Later the food was distributed as PRASAD (Food item filled with divine positive energy by the glance of GOD) among devotees and Sadhus in the form of Bhandara. The celebration was shared by Gurubhais and Sadguru Parivar on the occasion with lot of joy and happiness. Gurudev Jayanti: 17th Nov The trust celebrated Jayanti of our Param Pujya Gurudev Shri Ranchhoddas ji Maharaj on 17 th Nov, 2012 at Raghuveer Mandir campus. The chairman of trust Mr. Vishad.P.Mafatlal did poojan on the day. On the occasion all the trustees, gurubhai from allover joined the celebration and program came to an end with huge bhandara. Tulsi Vivah The Ritual: 24 th Nov The symbolic wedding ritual of Tulsi Vivah is performed in the evening. Devotees fast till the dusk and take up devotional activities as soon as the sun is down. Tulsi plant is decorated with flowers and all other paraphernalia of a bride. Amongst vedic mantras the sacred marriage is performed at auspicious time. Delicacies cooked are offered to Tulsi devi and prasad is distributed among the devotees. Shri Raghuveer Mandir Trust celebrated the Tulsi Vivah with Bhagwan Shaligram. Devotees of Gurudev from all over India & abroad and Sadguru Parivar joined celebration of Tulsi Vivah. Mr. kapil and Mrs. Bharti represented the groom s (Bhagwan Shaligram) family and Pradeep Bhai Korani and family represented bride s (Tulsi) family.

The program comprising of Bhajan, Ramleela, Preachings and classical dance were participated by various Government and Private Schools of M.P. The program was chaired by Minister Energy and Mineral Resource Department, Mr. Rajendra Shula. Sadguru Public School got a pride of winning Classical dance program by Haritima Maurya of Class- 8. World Aids day Under the aegis of trhe trust, the students of Sadguru Nursing and Paramedical science celebrated the day with theme Getting to zero. The purpose of theme was to take oath for Zero infections, Zero discrimination and Zero Aids related deaths. The day was celebrated by depicting various aids related posters, awareness programs in the form of play and orientation on how to prevent from aids, in Jankikund campus. 7 Trust activitie s- Chitrako ot Navdurga Mahotsav Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust has traditionally celebrated Durga Utsav from. Under the aegis of the Trust, Sadguru Mitra Mandal in the guidance of Smt. Usha.B.Jain, has organized Raas Dandiya Competition on the occasion in which teams comprising students of Sadguru Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Science, Vidyadham Hr. secondary and primary school, Sadguru Public School, Shri Ram Sanskrit Mahavidlaya and Staff of SNC and JKC participated with joy and happiness. Shraddhanjli Sabha According to hindu calendar, trust organized Shraddhanjli Sabha of Late. Shri Arvind.N.Mafatlal, former chairman of the trust on 17 th Nov at Samadhi sthal in the trust campus on the occasion of his first death anniversary. Chairman of the trust Shri Vishad.P.Mafatlal with all trustees and gurubhais payed their homage to Late Shri Arvind Bhai. Arvind bhai left for heavenly abode on October 30, Arvind Bhai wished no more rebirth and only Moksha from God. God wished Arvind bhai to reach heaven with a sense of happiness and with all his blessings in the Karma Bhoomi of Chitrakoot on the day which is the birth date of Gurudev.

Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya- Anandpur Workshop on Strabismus In association with vision 2020, HBP on Strabismus was conducted from 4th to 6th Oct which was volunteered by Dr. Suma Ganesh from Dr. Shroff Charitable Eye Hospital, Delhi. He demonstrated the surgeries on patient and also gave the lecture on surgical and medical management on squint.

9 Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya- Anandpur World sight day On the occasion of world sight day outreach camp was organized with the support of Seva Foundation and Focusing Philanthropy where 300 people were screened. On the same day free eye screening camp was organized at all vision centres. Patients with refractive error were provided spectacles and referral done for those in need of surgical intervention. Anandpur outreach camp The 5th Anandpur Outreach Program was held from 24th-28th Dec. A team of Volunteers led by Sukrut bhai Jobanputra and Parth Bhai Sejpal from Bombay to conduct various activities such as: Distribution of Household Items; and Blankets. Shri N. B. Lohani, Dr. Vishnubhai Jobanputra, and other gurubhais bens were present at the inaugural function. Trust activities - Anandpur Chidren s day celebration All the children went out for picnic to celebrate Children day on 14th November along with their teachers. They reached out to place called chanderi in Madhya Pradesh where they visit Jain temples. Katha paath P aram Pujya Shri Shyam Sunder Das Maharaj visited the trust.maharaj Ji blessed every body and praised the efforts of all gurubhais and staff in developing the trust. On this occasion Shri Ramcharit Manas was delivered by him from 22nd to 23 rd Dec.
