5 We pray for God to help us worship Pastor: Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! He died for us that we might live for him. We greet one another with the peace of Christ SEATED God calls us to confess our sin from Hebrews 10:19-22 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience. We confess our sin Lord, you have sent us by your Spirit to share your good news with others. But we remain silent about you in the presence of our neighbors. You have sent us to listen and give reasons for our hope in Christ. But we do not give enough Cme or reasons to people who need them. You have sent us to welcome and serve all people seeking your kingdom. But we have made enemies of those we should love and serve. Lord, have mercy on us. (silent prayers of confession) Gracious God, forgive us for neglechng your mission. Give me an understanding of you that is coherent and convincing and that leads to the life you promise. Amen. Prayer of New Belief Lord Jesus, I admit that I am weaker and more sinful than I ever dared believe, but through you I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope. I thank you for paying my debt on the cross, taking what I deserved in order to offer me complete forgiveness.
