1 Spiritual Gifts Assessment According to the gifts given in Romans 12:6-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 This assessment is to help determine which gifts may already be at work in the life a follower of Jesus. However, this is not a final determination of which gifts you have been given, or what other gifts Holy Spirit can choose to use through you at any time. Please answer all of the following questions using a number below that applies most. 0 = Never 1 = Seldom 2 = Sometimes 3 = Usually 4 = Always To help decide which answers to choose think about these things: How many specific examples can I give for each question? Does it only apply to a certain group of people or apply to anyone? Does it reflect things I actually do opposed to things I want to do or know I should do? 1) You have a strong sense of what God wants you to say to people. 2) You feel natural taking charge of a group during a crisis or difficult situation. 3) You expect God to come through in any situation even if you don t see a solution. 4) You actively listen to God when someone is given a message in an unknown language for understanding. 5) You easily recognize people s practical needs and you are quick to meet them. 6) You are able to use remarkable understanding to help someone navigate a difficult circumstance.

2 7) You give of your time, money, and energy generously and without preference to others for the sake of the Kingdom. 8) You have been told that when you speak Biblical truth it stirs others to want to know more. 9) You receive insights from God about others that you couldn t have known otherwise. 10) You are compelled to inspire others who are stagnant in their faith to live up to their full potential. 11) You sense when situations are spiritually unhealthy. 12) You actively expect God to use an unknown language through you to edify yourself or others at various times. 13) You feel deep sorrow when you see others hurting and have a deep capacity to show them love. 14) You look for opportunities to pray for the injured. 15) You are hungry to see God s miraculous power on a normal basis. 16) You enjoy helping others understand portions of the Bible through indepth study and research. 17) You have given a public message in a language you didn t know that you expected to be interpreted by someone else.

3 18) You are eager to give away more of your resources than what others ask of you. 19) You are not afraid to challenge people if you know it will bring spiritual growth in their lives. 20) You have helpful insight into how to deal with situations that have not been made clear to others. 21) You have spontaneously interpreted a language that you have never learned. 22) You enjoy being asked to do special jobs for the church behind the scenes. 23) You have received a message from God for someone you were thinking about concerning an urgent matter in his or her life. 24) You have seen God cure sicknesses instantaneously through your prayers. 25) You actively seek to guide those who are off track to get back in the right direction. 26) You easily perceive the condition of others and they invite you to speak into their lives. 27) You have been used by God to perform supernatural signs and wonders.

4 28) You have great empathy towards those in your life facing difficult challenges. 29) You have believed God for the impossible and have seen it come to pass in a tangible way. 30) You can easily distinguish demonic influences in a situation. 31) You like to create ways to make processes run more smoothly in life and in the church. 32) You have spoken to God in a language that you have never learned. 33) You look to remind those who are discouraged about the power and promises of God. 34) You desire to make more money for the sole purpose to give more to others. 35) You can recognize when someone is not genuine in his or her faith or spiritual actions. 36) You desire to speak direct messages from God that edify, encourage, or comfort others. 37) You show love through service and action more than words or gifts. 38) You have seen God perform the impossible through your prayers.
