We are particularly grateful for the blessing that BGMC has been to Abundant Life, the church that we planted and are presently pastoring here in the capital city of Montevideo, Uruguay. In the past few years, BGMC has provided computers for our church offices, computer equipment for our children s ministry, and funds to equip our church nursery. Through the partnership of BGMC, we have been able to minister more effectively to the needs of the children, and for this we are most grateful. Thank you, BGMC! This past year we had outreaches to a povertystricken community in the vicinity of our church. As a result, approximately twenty children began to attend children s church. The equipment that we purchased with BGMC funds assisted in this project. Again we thank you kids for the blessings of BGMC. 2 Thank you for giving to BGMC! I wanted you to see for yourself the results of God s faithfulness through your giving to BGMC. We really needed a water well for our Teen Challenge farm in Uruguay. We created the farm so we can grow our own food to save money. Without water, we would ve lost the crops we depend upon so much to feed our students, pay our staff, and cover our bills. A well was needed to provide life-giving water for our plants and support for our Center. Uruguay was going through a tremendous drought and water was needed. Because of your help, we began the water well/pond project on the farm. We drilled a water well 90 feet deep. We also decided to dig a pond to put extra water in. Ten months and lots of work later, the pump began to fill our pond. Thanks to the well, and more importantly the underground springs we hit, we will not be without water again. The underground springs are keeping the pond full. Since we now had a great pond, we asked BGMC for money to stock the pond with fish. As a result, we now have fish to help feed our students and our staff. Thank you BGMC! What a blessing BGMC has been to Teen Challenge! 4 Thank you for giving to BGMC! I can proudly report that there are twenty very happy and more restful students at our residential Bible school thanks to the efforts of BGMC. We combined your offering with that of another source, and we were able to buy 20 new mattresses. Some of the mattresses we replaced were over 10 years old. 5 Thank you for giving to BGMC! BGMC donated $5,000 for the purchase of one of three tents that we have used for church planting. Through these BGMC tents, BGMC has helped plant several churches, housed teens for kids and youth camps, and provided classrooms for many seminars. The tents are in use throughout most of the year, in good weather and bad, winter and summer, often going into storage only long enough for the tent sides to be cleaned and a new coat of paint applied to the poles. 6 Thank you so much for giving to BGMC. BGMC has been a big help to our ministry to children here in Uruguay. Here is a listing of equipment that BGMC purchased for us: Two video projectors to use for kids camps, outreaches, children s missions conventions, etc. One laptop computer to use for kids camps, outreaches, children s missions conventions, events, etc. Two large projector screens to use for kids camps, outreaches, children s missions conventions, events, etc. Lots of puppets and children s ministry supplies to provide children s ministry starter kits to newly started children s ministries. One KidsQuest kit to use for children s outreaches and events. BGMC has filled a vital need that otherwise would go unmet in helping supply us with the needed equipment to conduct kids camps and major outreach events for children. Over a thousand children have been saved just through the kids camps, and over a thousand children have been discipled in an Adventure Club children s church. BGMC helped to provide the children s ministry starter kits for these new children s churches. Thank you somehow doesn t express how grateful we are for the opportunity we have been given by BGMC in helping us reach the children in the atheist country of Uruguay. 7 Hello from Uruguay, South America! God is doing great things in the lives of the children of Uruguay. And we want to say thank you because your giving to BGMC has made an eternal impact in these children s lives. Uruguay is a country where the children are taught in school that there is NO God. But we know that is a lie. Because of your help, we are starting 60 new children s ministries throughout Uruguay where children can learn the truth about who God is and about His great love for them. BGMC has helped us purchase the necessary materials and tools to give each new children s ministry a Children s Ministry Starter Kit. This kit helps the local church start and continue ministry to children. We are praying and believing that these kits will help us reach and disciple at least 10,000 children. Each kit contains two years of curriculum, music CDs, puppets, banners, Bibles, PowerMark comic books, a children s ministry how-to manual, and a sound system if the church doesn t have one. Once again, BGMC helped with all the supplies for these 60 children s ministry kits! When we start a new children s ministry, we re with a church for at least three months teaching and modeling the ministry to the children s workers. We usually start at least three children s ministries at the same time. Each week the children s leaders take on more and more responsibility until at the end of our time with them, they re doing all of the ministry themselves. We try to do a form of children s ministry using basic materials and technology that we know the people can easily replicate. Our goal is for the local church to start and to continue this ministry and for them to take ownership of the children s ministry program in their local church. Our desire is to teach children s leaders the importance of reaching and discipling children. We slowly give out the items in the children s ministry kits as the leaders pass through each phase of training. We do quarterly evaluations of each children s ministry for the first two years. We also provide yearly children s workers retreats and on-going training and communication with the churches where we start these children s ministries.

8 BGMC has also been a tremendous blessing to our kids camps! BGMC helped us purchase a video projector, projection screens, portable lighting, a generator, and outdoor games for our camps. We have three camps planned in the coming months, and we are praying and believing that we will minister to over 1,000 children during these camps. The theme of our kids camps this year is Super Power. Our focus will be the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Without the help of BGMC, it would be almost impossible to conduct these camps. But because of you and BGMC, these children are going to have the opportunity to not only receive Jesus as their Savior, but also to receive the power that comes from the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Thank you for giving to BGMC and for giving the children of Uruguay the chance to know and say, There is a God, His name is Jesus, and He is Lord of my life!
