If you are care giving to your spouse or to an elderly parent, this group is for you! Please RSVP in advance to The group will be run by Shonda Baker, MSW, Senior Well-Being Specialist, from Oaks Integrated Care. Refreshments will also be provided. Youth Empowerment Services (YES) assist at risk children in New Brunswick by connecting them with committed and caring mentors and ensuring that they have the support and networks to build life-transforming relationships. Time commitment is one Sunday per month and the lessons are ed in advance and they consist of a Bible reading, discussion points and one or two short activities. [refrain] Labor Day Recognition How often do you put yourself in the shoes of those who work so hard to help those in our community? We just see them driving around, in a police car, a fire truck, an ambulance.under that uniform is a neighbor, a member of your church, a friend.with a family to care for and bills to pay and good days and bad days, just like you.. Folks with courage, compassion, and dedication.daily facing tough situations that you and I never even have to think about.until you need.. A domestic violence call.gotta get there fast.what will I find? Are drugs or alcohol mixed up in this? Children in harm s way? O Lord, help me keep things from escalating.o Lord, help me keep everybody safe.. Fire alarm.blizzard conditions, roads not yet plowed, storm s so bad, road crews can t keep up.praying that we can get there in time.praying that everyone can get out of the house in time. Praying that we can get the hoses hooked up and working in this storm. O God, get us all through this night alive.. Missing person report, an elderly man with dementia wandered away from home.found him two miles away in another town.had a hard time convincing him to get in my car but we re on our way home now, back to his worried wife. Bad car accident, fatalities, including a young father and his child.. I m the one who has to knock on his wife s door with the news.. O Lord, give me the right words to say to this poor woman.. Our EMT crew are the first on the scene.i see right away that she won t make it to the hospital.while others around me do what we are trained to do, I hold her hand and whisper words of comfort in her final moments No pulse, looks like a drug overdose.he could be about the age of my son.. This kid had his whole life ahead of him.o God, why? Why? Three first aid calls in one night; hope I can catch a few winks in the morning.. it surprises me how few people say thanks.they seem to forget our squad s all volunteer. All in a day s work.and for all that you do in a day s work, we give you thanks and honor you today for the ways you labor on behalf of God and the community You and I both know you were speeding. Yeah, I know you see me as the bad guy, but I m here to keep these streets safe for this town.you included.

5 Drink from this, all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. THE GREAT THANKSGIVING The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise. It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to you, almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth. Age after age you have revealed yourself to your people and blessed them with gifts beyond number. They planted and watered, but you gave the growth. And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven, we praise your name and join their unending hymn. Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. Holy are you, and blessed is your Son Jesus Christ. By the baptism of his suffering, death, and resurrection you gave birth to your Church, delivered us from slavery to sin and death, and made with us a new covenant by water and the Spirit. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me. And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ s offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith. Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again. Pour out your Holy Spirit on us gathered here, and on these gifts of bread and wine. Make them be for us the body and blood of Christ, that we may be for the world the body of Christ, redeemed by his blood. By your spirit make us one with Christ, one with each other, and one in ministry to all the world, until Christ comes in final victory, and we feast at his heavenly banquet. Through your Son Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in your holy Church, all honor and glory is yours, almighty God, now and forever. Amen. On the night in which he gave himself up for us, he took bread, gave thanks to you, broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said: Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you.
