we share because we care! President s Message Here s Why We Do What We Do! By W. Wilson Lippy This is the 27th year since we started Christian Farmers Outreach. In the beginning, we chose Jeremiah 33:3 as our theme verse, Call unto me and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things thou knowest not. We committed to Jesus from the beginning, and still do. This ministry is about the price Jesus paid for us. It s not about us. One-on-one ministry As you will see in this magazine, we share testimonies from a few of many areas we are serving. We are a one-onone ministry. We focus on one, and the Lord gives us thousands! Here are three recent examples: A short time ago, two women came into our Maryland State Fair booth. One lady s husband wouldn t come in, so I went to him instead. I m Jewish, he said. I didn t think you would want to talk to me about Jesus. I said, I would like to talk with you. We had a wonderful talk, and he committed his life to Jesus! At the same moment, John, the other booth worker, was sharing with the Jewish man s wife. She and her friend accepted Jesus, too! There was tremendous emotion and hugging that day. Later, another woman brought her husband into the booth. Her husband had never accepted Jesus. But as we shared the message through the colors, he asked Jesus into his life. They were so excited! She exclaimed: It s been a long, long time coming! Three more women, a grandmother, mother and granddaughter, came in to hear the message. They all wanted to pray and get saved. Grandmother said with joy: Three generations came to know Jesus tonight! How is all this happening? We pray that the Holy Spirit speaks through us and that the Holy Spirit brings in those we need to minister to.when they are hurting or just wanting to accept Jesus, we see miraculous results. These things happen only through the power of prayer. he found it, he called his friends and neighbors to rejoice with him. Even the Angels in heaven rejoice when one sinner comes to repentance. The Lord continues to send us out into the traffic lanes of life in the same way Jesus sent his disciples out as told in Luke 10. CFO outreaches still expanding On the following pages, you will see how outreach ministries all over the world are coming to CFO, asking for help in their efforts to reach people for Jesus. You will see in many shared testimonies how God stirred the hearts of His people. That expansion has taken place in seven new countries Iran, Belize, Jamaica, Oman, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and South Korea along with new areas in this country. CFO s workers are now sharing the colors and the Gospel s good news in 76 countries and 35 U.S. states! The most continuous expansion for Jesus I have ever experienced is happening in other nations many former communist countries. Thousands of young people, mostly 20 to 45 years old, are finding freedom in Christ that they have never before experienced! These young people have a great desire to reach their country s people for Jesus. They have asked CFO to help them with this by providing them with an easy, effective way to share easily and effectively through the colors. Many Muslims and Buddhists are coming to Jesus through people CFO has trained, encouraged and equipped to be effective. Key Mid-East access is opening Presenting the salvation message has been made easy and effective by the color bead bracelets and wristbands. We also make available CFO tracts in 16 different languages. The two newest tracts, in Farsi (Iranian) and Turkish are already being carried into these countries to share the importance of God s love and of receiving Jesus and His salvation. His calling... the importance of one Prayer and support essential The Lord has called CFO to reach out to that one, and Without God s blessing and the support of your prayers we are staying true to His calling. Jesus illustrated the importance of it in Luke 15:4-7. The good shepherd left the 99 that has allowed us to reach so many people. He truly is and gifts, there s little CFO could do. It is the Grace of God righteous to search for the one lamb that was lost. When showing us great and mighty things! Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

We share because we care! testimony All Things Made New How the Lord made this man into a whole, new man Many suffer inwardly through life, lost in an unexplainable void between hopelessness and despair. Jim Clark s testimony is a light house shining the way to Jesus for those ship-wrecked in life. Like so many, Jim looked on the outside to have a good life a wife, children and a solid career. Inside though, he spent many years grappling with mental depression. He did his all to seek medical intervention. But physicians don t always have a cure. Over time, his despair worsened, taking his marriage to the brink and flooding his mind with thoughts of taking his life. During this time, Jim and Wilson Lippy became good friends. And Wilson would share God s plan of hope that Jim was searching for believing that his friend would have the chance to experience real joy and true love in life. Jim was invited to the very first Christian Farmers Outreach Luncheon held in March of And, the testimonies of others whose lives were transformed by receiving Jesus as Savior and Lord left a deep impression on his heart. But the Lord had not picked this moment for Jim s recovery. No mere coincidence A month later, on April 25, Jim felt compelled to track down Wilson for a face-to-face encounter and set out to find him. Spotting a fast food restaurant, he stopped to grab a quick lunch at the drive-through window. Looking inside, there ordering lunch was Wilson! Jim knew it wasn t a mere coincidence; It was the Lord s doing. And soon, he was able to share all that was on his heart. From breakpoint to breakthrough Then came the question: Are you ready to receive the Lord now, Jim? And without hesitation, he replied, Yes, I am. Standing in the middle of a large soybean field, Jim Clark opened his heart and received the free gift of eternal life. He accepted Jesus into his heart as Savior and Lord. The transformation was dramatic. Soon, he began experiencing an amazing peace and joy that has never left him. The pair then went to Wilson s home to talk further about Jim s new walk with Christ. Spotting red tulips in the flower bed, Jim froze totally captivated in his steps. Tears welling up, he said, I ve never seen tulips that red before! Looking up at the trees, he added, I ve never seen leaves that green before! The Bible speaks of this first taste of spiritual joy, love and freedom. This is a perfect example: If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 That s the transformation experienced by Jim Clark. While he still has deep appreciation for medical intervention, it was Jesus who lifted the depression off his shoulders and healed him. Within a week of asking Jesus into his heart, even his marriage came alive and was fully restored. A year later in 1989, his wife Emily got breast cancer. Instead of sinking back into depression, Jim s faith led them through those hard times, and Emily was fully healed. He now praises the Lord every night for their good health. After the day Jim got saved, he joined Gettysburg Baptist Church. There, he served as a trustee and on the building committee for a new church. Jim has since retired from Crop Production Services. Now at age 73, he has his own fruit management consulting business, still working with the Adams County fruit growers he has served for years. Since the day Jim invited Jesus into his heart, he has shared with his family all that God did. Now, he has the comfort of knowing that his grown children and most of his grandchildren are also saved. Thanks to God s awesome power, this man turned from the edge of losing it all to gaining it all just by receiving Jesus as his personal Savior and Lord of the rest of his life. 4 Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

we share because we care! E arly this year, Christian Farmers Outreach received a request to train and equip 2,000 pastors and church workers of more than 700 Assembly of God churches in Uganda. CFO called upon Mike Barko, coordinator of outreach efforts in the US Southeast. This summer, Mike journeyed to the East African republic. Upon returning, he praised God for the opportunity and CFO for sending bracelets and tracts to support the effort. As he says: What a tremendous blessing the trip was to me to be able to participate in this huge outreach! Teaching some 2,000 pastors and church workers how to share the Gospel using the five-colored bracelet was challenging and inspiring. What a tremendous blessing from the Lord! On the first day, many were unsure of their salvation. By the third day, many were shouting out, We are 100% sure of Heaven because of Christ alone! The reaching of just one Teaching 2,000 pastors was incredible. However, the Lord also sent us here to reach that one soul. That very first night, I got to share with Arias and Jonathan, two hotel bell hops. Both were unsure of eternal life. But after hearing the Gospel, both placed their faith in Jesus as Savior! Jonathan sent me this a few days later: Hello, Sir. I am Jonathan, the one you met yesterday at Marphie hotel. I was touched by the Word you preached to me. I have therefore decided to believe and follow Jesus as my Savior. He gives eternal life if you believe in Him. I promise that wherever I go, I will continue praising His name. Your teachings set my heart free. May the good Lord bless you abundantly! After sharing with Jonathan and Arias, I was impelled to share with Nancy, the hotel clerk. Nancy had been unsure of her salvation until she heard the Gospel and trusted Christ. Here s her testimony: Mike told me that Jesus died for my sins and through Him I can have eternal life. This was something I didn t truly believe. But now, I know I have eternal life in Jesus! I m so grateful. My heart is so relieved and I m so happy he came here! Later I shared again with Jonathan, this time with two africa uganda Called and Sent to Teach 2,000 Leaders of 700 Churches co-worker friends, Alex and Johan. When I asked one of them, How do you get to Heaven? He replied, That s why God sent you here! Tell us! On a bridge over the Nile River, I shared the Gospel with four young men. Two of them received salvation in Jesus. Even along today s Nile, hearts are ripe and await the eternal harvest! Thank God for This Creativity Reverend Bishop Joel Mukalu, overseer of over 700 Assembly of God churches in Uganda, shared this: Your explanation of the colors gave me a new perspective of the best way to approach someone with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is very effective. I understood you well. No one had ever shared the Gospel with us like that. The other pastors and leaders have said that using the colors is a very good summary reminder of the entire salvation message. What you shared gave us an organized message (explainable by the use of bracelets) to pass across to sinners to be saved. Thank God for that creativity! Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

We share because we care! california Tulare 762 Receive Jesus at World Ag Expo... Leading Their Generation To Christ! God did an amazing thing through the 15 teens he sent CFO for the World Ag Expo booth. At first, they were very shy about sharing their faith. They first assisted booth workers sharing. Soon, Melissa and Pricilla said they felt the Holy Spirit moving within them a life-changing moment. Before long, all 15 became increasingly bold in sharing the salvation message to many of their peers. Teens on fire for Jesus! Annie, another teen member witnessing at the event, was amazed to see so many youths her age were so receptive to the message of the colored beads. This team of young people was transformed from timid lambs into bold lions as they shared the saving grace of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. All 15 look forward to witnessing at the 2014 show. 6 Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

we share because we care! In February, four CFO ministry workers traveled to California to coordinate outreach efforts at the World Ag Expo. Promoted as the world s largest farm show, it draws visitors from all over the world. Church volunteers from several areas of Cal i fornia came to work the booth each day and evangelize with the salvation message. Penny, a Pastor s wife from San Jose, Calif., volunteered for her first time. She was so on fire with CFO s ministry that she worked in the booth all three days. She fell in love with the ministry. God s light and love just shined out through her as she witnessed to many. 7 sharing stations were busy Since thousands of visitors attend this show, our booth requires nine to 10 workers sharing daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in seven sharing stations. It s also vital to have at least two Spanish-fluent persons sharing the message since that s the first language of many who come in. In Spanish and English, the message was made clear. 762 souls made a decision to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, and discovered God s good plan for their lives! What a blessing it was to have a church youth team of teens 15 strong to witness there. Those teens were so on fire for the Lord that they zealously lead many to Jesus in a short time. And they were asked: How did you learn so quickly to be that effective in sharing the message of the colors? Their explanation was simple: They had watched the CFO President s Message video at It offered, in detail, an effective lesson in how to reach out to win the lost! It was nothing short of miraculous how the working of the Holy Spirit placed these workers there to lead the lost. It was evident that He anointed each one in the booth sharing the Gospel. california Tulare A Transformed Muslim Life This testimony is from Donna Lehigh, an ardent CFO worker. Tom, a Christian and a business man, took in a foreign exchange student from a Muslim country. Over time, the student discovered Tom s Christianity beliefs. For a long time she strongly disapproved and made it clear saying, Don t tell me about being a Christian. I m not interested, just don t go there! Tom and this exchange student came to the World Ag Expo. Passing by CFO s booth, she spotted the walking sticks and told Tom she really wanted one. He warned her, They ll tell you how to become a Christian. But she persisted: I want that walking stick! Soon her own, she went into the booth where Donna Lehigh was sharing the message of the color beads. The young woman heard the full message of salvation! And her heart was suddenly changed as she willingly accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior! Seven months later, Tom is still amazed how the young former Muslim went from being very offensive to the Gospel to doing a complete turn around and receiving Jesus. When CFO recently asked her how things were going, she says she can t stop thinking and talking about this new love she has in Jesus. I have Jesus in my heart, and I am praying for my family back home. Now, she wants to tell others about Jesus. Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

We share because we care! What a Real Friend is For Alex, the young man in the center, is a son of a pastor. He d been trying to get friends Josh and Cody saved for a long time. They wouldn t respond, so he brought them to the CFO booth at the Southern Farm Show. Once they heard about God s plan, both willingly responded to receive Jesus. What a joy! Changed Lives! Saved and Thankful 4 Years Later Hamjah Nouaim entered the CFO booth at North Carolina Farm Show four years ago and came out saved. This year, he returned. Still excited, he told us how good it feels knowing he s saved. He quoted his favorite scripture verse John 3:16. Now, he attends a Christian School. Prayers Answered Saved 7 Years Ago Brian Harris received Jesus in his heart through CFO seven years ago at the Keystone Farm Show. He s thankful for his salvation every day. He stopped in at the 2013 show to share his appreciation for CFO being there for him. Invitation Finally Accepted Chedsea and Claire had been going to church all their life, but never took the leap of faith by inviting Jesus into their heart. After hearing the message of God s love for them at the Southern Farm Show, they gladly received Jesus with huge smiles! Now Eternal Friends Kayla (in the middle) had a burden for her two friends to get saved so she brought her friends Savannah and Haley into the Southern Farm Show booth. Both excitedly received Jesus. And Kayla promised to help them in their new walk with Jesus. Lindsey, Marcy and Kasey are all Christians and had been praying for their friend Shannon (in blue) and for her salvation for a long time. Shannon was shy. But once she heard the message of God s bold love for her at Southern Farm Show, she accepted Jesus got saved. A Thanks-filled Heart Ryan Kline came in the booth at the Virginia Farm Show. With much enthusiasm, he shared that he was thankful we come back each year. This was the place where he came to know Jesus as his Savior. He continues to share the joy of having Jesus in his life. Saved 1 Year Ago Kate brought two friends, Tammy and Cassandra, into the booth to get saved at the 2012 World Deer Expo in Alabama. This year, they revisited the booth with tremendous excitement about their decision they made receiving Jesus. They wanted to be on the front cover of the CFO magazine announcing to the world about their new faith in Jesus. 8 Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

we share because we care! Remembering 7 Years Ago Lane Worley got saved in the CFO booth in He came back this year to thank us. He s still very excited knowing Jesus walks with him all the time. Lane shared that his confidence is great, knowing whatever happens to him, he will be with Jesus in Heaven. Changed Lives! Everything Changed 6 Years Ago Samantha came into the Harford County Fair CFO booth six years ago, and accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. When asked what that meant to her, she said, EVERYTHING! And, she shared how she got her daughter back because of Jesus. Same-day Chain Evangelism! Colleen came into the Harford County Fair booth one morning this fall, and got saved. Then she went to tell her friend, Ty, all about her salvation. He wanted to get saved too. So Colleen brought him back that night. After hearing the message, Ty, too, got saved. Mighty Marty Marty, the little girl in a white t-shirt, brought two friends in to get saved. She was on fire for the Lord. She shared with her two friends with the assistance of a CFO worker, John. They led her two friends to Jesus. And right away, she wanted to work in the booth with John at Maryland State Fair. Missing Answer Found! McKenzie (in yellow) shared how she was scared of life in general. When she saw CFO booth at Southern Farm Show, something the Holy Spirit compelled her to enter. When we shared the comforting plan God had for her, she immediately wanted to pray and receive Jesus. Then she said, This is the answer I was searching for! All the other girls in the picture with her were already saved. His Victory In Jesus! Tom Forsythe battled heroin for 30 years and lived on the streets of Baltimore. On September 9, 2009, Tom accepted Christ while hospitalized. Today, he shares the Gospel to the homeless and addicts on the same streets and at Maryland State Fair. Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

We share because we care! maryland baltimore On The Edge, Bringing Them In Baltimore Outreach Ministry has been around for 17 years with a team of dynamic hearts for Christ and lost souls. Their ministry on the streets of inner city Baltimore started back in 1997 on Monument Street. But for 10 years of faithful witnessing, few of the lost responded to the salvation message. Then, it all began to change! Five years ago, Baltimore Outreach teamed up with Christian Farmers Outreach and began using the colored beads with tremendous results. Leah Ellis recalls that moment five years ago they put out a table of the rawhides with beads right there on Monument Street. People saw them and started coming out from everywhere! Groups standing three- to four-people deep waited to be shared with, wanting to hear the message through the color beads. There were so many, the police stopped one time, wondering what was going on. Since that day, Baltimore Outreach Ministry has never been the same. And because of this ministry, a number of other churches have started in this city. Now, Christ-sharing thrives here! Be inspired as these soul-winning team members share from their hearts: Our Lord said, My sheep hear My voice. They are lost, often very dirty, confused, angry, defiant, afraid, you name it. But they are His! And we have the awesome privilege of being His voice to them. We sometimes plant, sometimes water, and sometimes actually take them into the presence of the One who has loved them and designed them for Himself. Tears, certainly, but also joy unspeakable! We use tracts, Christian Farmers beads, Bible tables, a prayer tent anything and everything to make the glorious message clear. Ministering on the edge of hell From Leah Ellis: We re out there to seek the lost the so very lost. Our Pastor once said that our team was ministering on the edge of hell. So many who have come to the Lord through our outreach, entered into eternity within a short time. Amazing grace! While our little team, of anywhere from five to 20, has journeyed a few blocks up, our call and vision are the same to find His sheep! 10 Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

we share because we care! maryland baltimore Called to share From Pastor Bob Colban, team leader: When we re sharing our faith, it s like: This is why I was created and what I m supposed to do. I think about the men in Baltimore used and abused by the devil, then tossed onto the trash heap of humanity. Then God says to them, You re a new creature in Christ! This never gets old. One brilliant addict saved From Chris Colban: Time is short, and one day the door [to Heaven] is going to be shut. Several years ago, we met a brilliant man on the street who was a heroine addict. We became friends, and for months he struggled with the decision to accept Christ. Finally, on June 25, 2005, he was gloriously saved! In 2012, he died far too young. We know that he s in Heaven. This is why we go. If in 20 years, he was the only person who got saved, it would be worth it! What s the price of one soul? He s precious to our Lord. We cast our bread on the water, and it s so worth it! Burdened for the lost From Germaine: God puts them my burden on my heart. I look in their eyes, and it breaks me! I am happiest when I m out on the street evangelizing! The joy of the Lord is my strength. What brings joy to God? Salvations! Angels rejoice, and we participate in that joy! God sees their potential From Diane Garbrecht: I love the common people of Baltimore. They re so open. Many have been raised by godly grandmothers and are respectful and open to us. God loves them and sees their potential whether they re into drugs or gangs or whatever, He wants them to be delivered and to see them become new creatures in Christ. Raw soul-winning From JoAnn: The fields are ripe; the needs are there. I call it, raw soul-winning. People challenge me, and I challenge them. Some say to me I m good. or I don t need God. I told one, young alcoholic girl that God loves you from the inside out. And she said that her mom had just told her that same thing. It was confirmation of God reaching out to her a great WOW! God got me there, and I m very satisfied and fulfilled! Why he likes the colored beads From Pastor Fred Ellis: With the colored beads, you can present the colors to anyone, and they ll stop and listen. Whether it s a doctor on his way to the hospital, or a mother going to the market, people heading to work, or a drug addict hanging around the corner, they stop and listen to the presentation of the Gospel. This is the most effective tool I ve ever used in soul-winning over the last 37 years. It keeps the message on point. It causes people to have to make a decision! Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

We share because we care! Arizona... Navajo Reservation Even in the desert, God brings forth new life! In late June, CFO teamed up with North Carroll Assembly church and went to the Navajo Reservation at Cameron, Ariz. It was like venturing out to the unknown to a beautiful, yet rugged, desert land. Each step had to be ordered by the Lord in order to seek out the lost waiting to be found by God s saving grace and love for them. Even though native to the land, generations of Navajo have suffered much injustice. Because of it, many struggle in the bondage of poverty and alcoholism. Their need for God is overwhelming. Older Navajos speak little English, unlike the younger ones. So at their early Sunday church service, the older ladies sang hymns and preached the Gospel in their native language. Inside their adobe-walled church, members were reminded in their native tongue of this from Revelation 5:9b: Jesus redeemed us to God by his blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. Opening doors and hearts As the CFO team set out door-to-door to evangelize, most of the people living in the homes either didn t answer the door or weren t at home. Then, the team came across Davis, who had lost fingers and toes due to his diabetic condition. After welcoming workers into his home, Davis listened to the message of the color beads. Sensing a new hope, he accepted Jesus as his Savior. Many young and older Navajo souls came to know Jesus as Savior and Lord. Later, the team made their way out to a roadside market where the Navajo s were selling hand-crafted jewelry. This is how most of them make a living for their families. A young mother with two young sons and another baby one on the way listened attentively as the Lord s salvation message was shared. And, she deeply wanted to have Jesus in her heart. As her oldest boy looked on, he, too, wanted to know Jesus as Lord. And soon thereafter, his younger brother wanted to pray for Jesus to be his Savior. Once the intense mid-day heat let up, a worker went back to Cameron for more wristbands and colored beads to lead more people to Jesus. Children playing there saw the colored beads and wanted to know about the message. Soon, after a few children heard the message and gave their hearts to Jesus, they rushed to get their friends. And they, too, came to hear the message. Soon, even more children asked Jesus into their hearts. Through the working of the Holy Spirit, it was Jesus that they loved not the beads! The miracle Later that evening, those same children, ranging from 4 to 11 years old, showed up at the church where a community dinner was being prepared. Hungry to hear more about Jesus love for them, they begged to have Sunday school. The church s pastor and his wife were amazed and overjoyed at the children s response to Jesus. The pastor s wife explained they d been trying to witness to these children for five years to no avail. To see them finally respond to Jesus was a miracle, she said. Our willingness to reach out to others is worth it. Each effort to reach out to the lost with the message of God s love and gift of eternal salvation is more than worth it. We won t fully realize how important it is until we re standing next to Jesus in Heaven. And the once lost and now found whom we reached out to with that message of God s saving grace will be there with us! 12 Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

we share because we care! THE HARVEST HELPER What a privilege to be a Harvest Worker! By Mary Lee Lippy What a privilege it is to be a harvest worker for God s kingdom in this day! Our calling is just as strong as it was in Jesus day. In Matthew 9:37, Jesus told his disciples, The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. The harvest He spoke of is of lost souls who accept the message of salvation what Jesus did on the cross for them so they wouldn t suffer eternal separation from the Father. Instead, they may be restored to the Father s eternal love. What did Jesus mean the workers are few? He wisely stirred conviction in the hearts of his disciples of the importance of the Great Commission stated in Mark 16:15: And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. Those words also speak directly to us today. Filling an inner hunger We often say we are hungry for God. In John 4:32-37, Jesus spoke to the woman at the well that he had food that we don t know of. The meat He spoke of is doing the will of the Father who sent Him. Jesus introduced himself as nourishment for her inner hunger and thirst. She received of Jesus so deeply that she started a chain evangelism outbreak in her village that brought them back to meet Jesus. He has the same impact today. When we fully receive Jesus and his love for us, we become filled with the Holy Spirit. Then, with great joy, we go out as workers to bring in the harvest of lost souls. That s the will of the Father! That s what we do! This is everything the CFO ministry is about. We are living in obedience of the Great Commission, reaping the harvest in Christ Jesus. Jesus will use anyone willing to follow him. For those sharing the truth of the Gospel message, he makes miracles happen in their lives. God uses CFO s ministry and its magazine to give you a glimpse of all that He s doing through soul harvesters worldwide who are true to His calling. They have compassion for the lost. Even amid trials, challenges, and painful disappointments, they continue to press on. Their obedience to God in leading the lost to Christ powers CFO s ministry! The outgrowth of this ministry is living what Paul said to the Ephesians (3:20-21): unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus To God be the glory, for great things He has done and is still doing! Mary Lee is the assistant to CFO s president. Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

We share because we care! MID East... IRAN A Walk of Humble Faith خدمات بشارتی بذر پاشان مسیح Hıristiyan çiftçilerin müjdeciliği Pastor Elshan is a unique living testimony of God s amazing grace. He has been powerfully used by God in the CFO ministry to evangelize in Iran one of the most dangerous modern-day places for Christians. Born in neighboring Azerbaijan and raised as a nominal Muslim, he later received Jesus as Savior and Lord. Ever since that day, Elshan knew he had a calling to reach out to the spiritually lost in his country and abroad. Soon thereafter, he crossed paths with the CFO ministry which enabled him to further the good news of the Gospel. For the last five years, he and other workers have gone into major Iranian cities to share the salvation message through the color beads with miraculous results. Now, they have Gospel tracts in the Farsi native dialect. Muslims are giving their souls to Jesus! Elshan describes his latest journey into Iran as a humble walk of faith. God gave us an abundant grace to witness His Gospel, this time to about 15 people all together. One opportunity to witness at God s anointed timing to souls ready to hear the message came, strangely enough, at a public spring bath a custom in Iranian culture. There, they witnessed to a young Muslim man. And, God performed a miracle right there as this young Muslim opened his heart to Jesus. 22 Pastor Elshan shares this testimony about a dear Iranian friend and how God is moving in the hearts of Iranian men and women in powerful, yet quiet humbling ways: Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc In Tehran, we met our precious disciple from Mashhad (another city). Our purpose for why we went to Tehran was to spend some quality time with and, encourage our friend. I think he encouraged us more than we did him. He shared a beautiful testimony about God s work in his life. When I heard it, I was amazed, crying and praising God. It was a testimony about his wife. She wasn t a much believer, as he says. They married when he was a Christian, but she wasn t. She loves him very much though. Two years ago, she prayed and received Christ in Istanbul at our Bible College. Last summer, this couple came with us to our Baku Greater Grace Church conference in in Tbilisi, (the republic of) Georgia. Our friend interpreted for his wife the messages into Farsi (Iranian language). In a very special message, a Pastor encouraged with these words: Be humble. Be humble. Be humble, and God will lift you up. And our friend was thinking Why I interpret it to my wife, she doesn t get it anyway. I just waste my energy. Even so, he continued interpreting. This time in Iran, this husband and wife had an argument in their car. Seemingly, he was right and she was wrong. He got angry and would not give her grace. Then she said: Ali, be humble. Be humble. Suddenly, hearing those words, his eyes filled with tears, and he sensed strongly that God was speaking to him. It crashed him. He knew it was God and that nothing he interpreted to her was in vain. They got reconciliation right away. I was crying a lot as he shared it. This testimony actually made the whole my trip. Pastor Elshan offers these encouraging, inspiring words for us to continue in furthering God s plans for our lives: Heaven will reveal the whole picture. Thank you for walking by faith, supporting God s work and being humble before God! This is so true: God works all things together for the good, for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) Farsi Turkish

we share because we care! Far East... China First Time Could be the Only Time CFO is supplying six outreaches in China with colored beads on rawhides plus salvation tracts in Chinese. Here s a story about one of those missionaries trained and equipped to share God s plan of hope and joy. Gabi Gelencser, a sister in the Lord, traveled from Budapest, Hungary to Guangzhou, China to witness to the lost using CFO s color beads. Right away, she saw a dire need for the salvation message in one of the world s most populated cities. There, most people worship idols. So many living in poverty live without hope. Not knowing any Chinese language dialect didn t stop her. She wore a vest scripted in Chinese on the back with Jesus loves you marking her as a Christian in a country hostile to Christianity. A translator went with Gabi to aid in communicating the Gospel message. Through alleys on the poor end of town, out on the streets even on college campuses, she boldly delivered the words of a Heavenly Father s love and His saving grace available to all. First time for many Many Chinese heard the salvation message for the first time in their lives. And for many, it might have been the only time. Despite the language barrier, the CFO colored beads made the salvation message clear, simple and understood. And many responded, welcoming Jesus into their hearts. Gabi touched the hearts of CFO leaders with this: Their souls are so precious to the Father. He wants to relieve the fatherless, the widow, whoever cries out to Him. And the bracelets work well if there is an open heart listening to it. In these times, many hearts are open. May you be inspired by Gabi to continue reaching out to the lost just waiting to hear and receive the salvation that Jesus offers. Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

We share because we care! poland Warsaw Marzena s Powerful Life Story Marzena Kolodziej-Matwiejczuk grew up not knowing a loving dad, and worse not knowing of the Heavenly Father s love for her. When I was a child, many things were lacking in my home, she recalls of her early years of enduring an alcoholic father. What was especially missing was true love. Even so, this woman held fast to the hope of waking up to a better day. That better day did arrive eventually. At age 18, Marzena began her life journey. She got a job, married and had children to discover that all of her choices only made things more complicated, and left her with more questions than answers. In the midst of it all, her mother died as her father was falling ill. At that point, this young Polish woman felt more pain than she ever thought possible. Caught in the crossroads of all she d been through, bitterness gripped her towards her father. Then God stepped in At age 27, Marzena was visited by her Aunt, who shared the saving grace of Jesus with her. After a long talk and Bible time together, Marzena gave her heart to Jesus. For the first time, she finally felt what the love of a Father really was! Feeling the warm embrace of Jesus love and God s grace, Marneza let go of all of past pain, hurt and bitterness. That love was so real that she calls God her very own telephone line Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3) God s love helped Marzena reconcile with her earthly father, and he asked Jesus into his heart! Over time, this new-found led Marzena to share Jesus with the rest of her family who are now saved. God has changed my old hopeless life. I m not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes; first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. (Romans 1:6) Marzena Today, Marzena s burning passion for Christ has her working with a large team from her church in Warsaw. They re sharing CFO colored beads to young and old in the streets, coffee shops and house bible meetings. And she has led many friends, even a neighbor to accept Jesus as their Savior. Marzena thanks the Holy Spirit for the CFO materials that easily communicate the love of Jesus and help save lost souls by the thousands. This started for one simple reason the Father s love for Marzena and us all! 24 Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

we share because we care! E. Europe... Romania Praises All the Way from St. George Three years ago, little was happening in Romania in the way of soul-saving action with CFOsupplied colored beads and Romanian tracts. That all changed little more than two years ago with the arrival of Pastor Kornel and his wife Ani in St. George. This young couple is changing lives by reaching out to lost souls through the message in the color beads! Here s their letter of appreciation to CFO supporters: Dear CFO, This is the third year for us in foreign missions. In 2010, we spent half a year in Bangkok, Thailand. Then we started a church here in St. George, Romania. Our church (members) go out onto the streets to share the saving message of the Gospel of salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ. After more than two years, we can say that the bracelets are amazing tools to share the Gospel! Thousands are being saved in Romania because of this miracle. The colored beads make people stop and helps them focus on the message. The most we love about these bracelets is that people can take the Gospel with themselves. It helps them remember of the Savior and the finished work every day when they look at them. Thank you for your ministry! It s a blessing for the workers and for the unsaved, too. 26 We share because we care! S. America... Peru, Argentina, Chile, Cuba Reaching 8,000 More with Wristbands and Tracts! Pastor Stan Collins sent this report from the front lines of chain evangelism in South America 26 Greetings and love to Christian Farmers Outreach from Peru, Our church members send their Muchas Gracias! to you all for sending down 8,000 more tracts and bracelets. It s a great joy for me, as their pastor, to see them using this tool to share their faith with the lost, so that others, too, might be saved. Usually, we have no problems bringing the bracelets and tracts into Peru. This time, however, an overzealous customs official made us pay. He was sure we are selling these to someone. I told him he could have a hundred for himself, if he promised to share the bracelets and the tracts with his friends and relatives. But he wasn t interested in anything free. That s ok. I m sure we ll see him again. Maybe he ll get saved, too. God has a way of turning all things for His glory. Last week, three girls received the gift of the bracelets, then also received the gift of eternal life. I told them that we have these great friends in the farmland of northern Maryland who love God so much that they want to share His love with others all around the world. CFO s gift and God s gift are linked together by Jesus work on the cross. These girls appreciated the gifts so much. It was easy to explain that the God whom we serve is also a gift-giver. And, they received the gift of salvation by faith through the work of Jesus on the cross. Trained Xtreme Peru, too We recently trained a Christian evangelistic group called Xtreme Peru to use CFO bracelets and tracts. They carried about 800 to the Iquitos jungle city. Then they went deeper into the jungle to reach a small tribal group with the Gospel. I m attaching a photo of a few families in that group. Jorge Prado, director of Xtreme Peru, wishes me to thank you for providing these tools for spreading the message of God s grace. I, too, express my gratitude for Christian Farmers vision to win souls around the world. Soul quests into Argentina, Chile and Cuba We brought 15 from our church to a little mountain town called Chetilla. It s very remote, and they almost never get visitors here. But these people are very open to the Gospel of God s gracious gift, and the bracelets you gave us are much appreciated. They easily identify the grace message with the bracelet. We have mission trips scheduled with the bracelets to Cajamarca, Peru, then to several cities in Argentina and Chile this fall. I hope to have funds to travel back to Cuba with more bracelets at the end of November. Keep us in your prayers for that. Thank you, once again, for your part in the work of God! 27 we share because we care! spring outreach luncheon America Something has to Change! More than 450 people came together at March s 2013 CFO Spring Outreach Luncheon near Westminster, Md., for a celebration of music, praise to God and powerful testimonies. Over and over, they heard how God is working in the hearts of all ages around the world thanks to wristbands, beaded rawhides and the inspiration of Christian Farmers Outreach. The most inspiring message was from Pastor John Love, a 23-season volunteer chaplain of the N.Y. Knicks basketball team and a teacher at Maryland Bible College and Seminary. Love is 100% committed to making a difference in the lives of those he connects with so they, too, can make a difference. Here are excerpts from his message: A Titanic mistake in the making 100 years ago, the Titanic was the crowning glory of oceangoing vessels at that time. Double-hulled, it was so unsinkable and the designers were so presumptuous that it didn t have all the lifeboats to save all of its passengers. Then the unthinkable happened, says Love. The ship collided with cold reality and was left with a 300-foot-long gash. Its water-tight compartments were instantly flooded. The unsinkable sunk within minutes just like what happens in so many lives today. People, too, cut through the waters of life at high speeds, presumptuous that they, too, are unsinkable. And when they collide with reality, they don t know what to do. Why bring this up? Many of us grew up thinking we were unsinkable, contends Love. We prayed before we went to school. We read scriptures in school. We pledged allegiance under God. That doesn t happen today! Our spiritual foundation has been ripped. Many of our water-tight compartments are flooded. How many more times do we have to hear about multitudes of lives ruined in school shootings and movie theatres? We hear cries for help, cries of despair. A whole generation of young people do not know who they are or where they re going. They have no spiritual destiny in a dark sea. We, as a nation, have abandoned God. We ve become atheistic and agnostic and are leaving God behind. Something has to change to have leaders of integrity leading our country. That kind of integrity comes from strong families, strong cultural values, strong moral values and commitment to individual responsibility. It would be easy to point fingers at so many things, but that change must begin with us. We, as a committed and courageous body of believers, can make a difference in this world that s spiraling out of control. Christ gives us that kind of definition! We are on this planet to fulfill Jesus Great Commission. We understand the value of the soul. Jesus, himself, said: What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul. He came to save the lost! Like Jesus, we need to do all we can to speed His grace, His love and His mercy straight to where the ship is going down. It can happen if we allow ourselves to mastered by Jesus Christ and renewed by the Word of God. We must think differently than the rest of our culture. If we have minds committed to the Lord, it won t be a problem. Consider this prayer: Lord, I want to trade in my weak, feeble thoughts. Fill my mind daily with your thoughts. Let me love people the way You love them. Help me know I am a person of God and called and chosen and a person of destiny. Turn up the light, rather than expose the darkness People already know the bad news how wicked the world is and how we re going to hell. Tell them what they don t know! Tell them with a bull horn, says Love: God loves you! You re the apple of His eye! If He had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. Your sins have been paid for! And now He s waiting to save you! Our government won t save our country. We need God s message to change us first. Then we can proclaim that message to others. But we must be better at defining what we are for a positive message. We re for life, not just against abortion. We re for healthy productive families, not just against gay marriage and divorce. Even in our most difficult moments, we know God is for us. We are the salt of the earth, the light of the world. We have opportunities to lead God s children, to shine brilliantly and gloriously, to to lead a whole generation of young people to the Lord. I don t know how much time we have left to do this. Be the light in the darkness. We have Christ and His life-saving message. Thank God that CFO has a vision for lost souls! Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

Are you 100% certain you ll go to heaven when you die? Far too many Christians say, I hope so. But you need to be certain of it. Why? Because God s Word tells us so and Romans 10:9, for instance, says:... if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raise Him from the dead, you will be saved. God is just waiting to transform you into one who shines His light into this dark world. He promises to lift your burdens and replace your hope or doubt with joy and certainty! You don t have to imagine how wonderful it might be if your burdens were lifted or if your hope would be replaced by joy and certainty. It can begin right here and now with two simple decisions: 1. As the Bible says, recognize and confess your sins to God. 2. Ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior and Lord of the rest of your life. If you ask God to forgive your sins and you accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord of your life, you ll open the door to guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit. You can enjoy that special relationship He promises here and now, not just after you pass into eternity. Start your relationship with Christ now, with this simple prayer: O God. I know I m a sinner and sorry for my sins. Forgive me. I turn from my sins and receive Jesus Christ as my Savior. I confess Him as my Lord. And, from now on I want to follow Him. In Jesus name, Amen. Do this, right now. Do not put it off! And please let us know so we can send you helpful information about important next steps in your faith walk. Write to us at: Christian Farmers Outreach, P.O. 29 we share because we care! how we share Many ask How do you share so effectively? And the answer is: We share God s message simply and directly as shown in the Gospel tract. And we stick to His message without preaching! Opening I want to share God s plan for you. He wants everyone with him in Heaven. Steps to Follow Follow every color starting with the gold bead. At the end go back to the red bead, representing what Jesus did for us, and ask Have you responded to this? Then ask the question at the bottom of the tract (Are you 100% sure?). If they say yes, ask them how they know. If they cannot tell you that they have Jesus in their heart, go back to the verses in the tract. Romans 10:13 Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord... That is responding to what Jesus did for us. John 1:12 But as many as received him... That is responding to what Jesus did for us. If you know Romans 10:9, quote it. That is responding to what Jesus did for us. Say: It is your decision whether you go to heaven or not. We are of free will. Choosing to open our hearts and invite Jesus in, beginning a personal relationship with Jesus, is what takes you to heaven. Ask: Would you like to know that? Would you like to invite Jesus into your heart? I will word a simple prayer and help you. After they pray Have them sign the back of the tract. Give them the tract so they remember their spiritual birthday. Go to page 2 of the follow up book Beginning Again Show them the page and say Now you are 100% sure you are going to heaven. Confirm their decision What did you just do that you now know this? Make sure that they tell you. Then say I would like to give you a follow up book. When you get home would you read it? When they are ready to leave the booth, ask them: Where is Jesus? (If they don t say In heart! start over!!) Let the know he will walk with them 24/7. Request: If you come to this event next year, please stop by the booth and share with us what it meant knowing you had Jesus with you this past year. Give everyone a tract so they can see the message and colors and ask them to share this with others. Pray for each person you lead to Christ. Thank you for helping CFO increase the kingdom of heaven! The Message Gold Represents Heaven Somewhere we all want to go. and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. Rev 21:18b Dark Represents Sin Our Problem All Are Sinners For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord Romans 6:23 Red Blood of Christ God s Remedy for Sin But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 This is what Jesus did for us. He loved us so much that He went to the cross on our behalf that we can have eternal forgiveness for our sin and be saved. White All May be Saved Now Our Response to what Jesus did for us on the cross. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the Sons of God. John 1:12a Green Represents Growth But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ II Peter 3:18 The Lord wants us to experience His peace and joy. He has a special purpose for us all. Right Now, do you have 100% assurance in your heart, if you died today, would you be with Jesus in Heaven? If God were to say to you, Why should I let you into my Heaven? What would you say? You can know this by inviting Jesus into your heart. Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc

We share because we care! THE CHALLENGE You are Called Yes, YOU! by John Vogel At CFO s summer picnic, a banner draped over the railing said: God, Bless America, Again Please! I spoke of what happened when Israel turned away from God, and of the urgency of America returning to Him. It s extremely urgent that Christians you and I rise up and do all we can do to bring millions more Americans to Jesus Christ. Let me put it another way: If America is to continue to be God s beacon of hope to the world, Christ-followers must stop being mere whisper-quiet, pew-polishers about our Savior. Otherwise, that light will flicker and fail, and America will join the fallen nations that litter world history. The prophet Ezekiel shared God s warning to Israel: I looked for someone among them who would... stand before Me in the gap on behalf of the land, so I would not have to destroy it. But I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30 We must stand up for Jesus! You and I must do all we can to proclaim the hope and joy that comes through Christ! That s the sole purpose of Christian Farmers Outreach, as it should be for every Christ-follower. God promises to respond if you and I respond! Never, ever say that it s impossible to turn America around. As Jesus, himself, said:..., with God, all things are possible! And God clearly promised it. If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 To discover what happens when we choose an earthly king over our heavenly Father, please read 1 Samuel 8: It s scary, and is happening in America right now! Called to do WHAT?! Apostle Paul spoke of God s calling a plan and purpose for you long before you created: 30 Christian Farmers Outreach, Inc God who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began. 2 Timothy1:9 So ask Him how you should respond: Pray, pray, pray for America s return to God! Boldly share with your families and friends all who will listen how important God s guidance to our future and our children s future. Share your time, talents and treasures with groups working to restore America to Godly ways. America s founders on God and country: The God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but by His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever. Thomas Jefferson Men must choose to be governed by God, or condemn themselves to be ruled by tyrants. William Penn It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord. Abraham Lincoln

YOU ARE VITAL TO CFO S MINISTRY Thank you for the opportunity, CFO! I want to... he Caribbean island of Jamaica is the 74th country reached through a Christian Farmers Outreach s ministry. This year, 41 lost Jamaican souls accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. It s an awesome example of how CFO chain evangelism works! Strange as it seems, this wonderful example began at the West Virginia State Fair. A married couple, Trevor and Jean, were planning on going to Jamaica on a mission trip. While walking the farm show, they spotted CFO booth workers sharing the salvation message with the colored beads. Trevor and Jean were deeply moved by how powerful and effective the colors beads were in presenting the Gospel message. It was exactly what they needed to use on their Jamaican mission trip. Excitement in their hearts shined out through the faces of those saved in Jesus! One leads one again and again! God teamed them up with other organizations going to the Caribbean isle to teach natives how to better farm their lands a perfect combination! Trevor and Jean went farming for lost souls, sharing the good news of the Gospel via the color beads. The 41 Jamaican men, women and children were so excited after receiving Jesus. Soon, many began taking the message to other villages. And the eternal harvest continues to grow! Your financial gift will be matched! Many thousands of dollars are necessary to touch more than 250,000 lost souls in That money comes from hearts, not Heaven. Nearly 100% of our resources are used to train and equip others to share the message. Each dollar of your gift will be multiplied by our matching gift donors. All of Richard s accomplishments added up the day he gave his heart to the Lord and has been about soul winning ever since. His trust in God started with one-third of an acre to grow food to feed the hungry and with no equipment. He shares how he realized that God doesn t call the equipped, God equips those He calls.
