The answers to the questions on this sheet will be in your Bible, the inspirational devotions and other articles included in the magazine. Five-minute sessions two or three days each week should provide the time you need to complete this course. In fact, that will be the best way to do it. How do you earn the credit? At the end of the month you simply return the completed yellow worksheet with at least one completed course. Your graded worksheet will be returned to you with the graded material from the complete course you sent. A $3 credit voucher will also be enclosed. 5 Do the 10 Commandments belong in the U.S.A? DID YOU KNOW? As you walk up the steps of the Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world s law-givers. Each one is facing Moses and the Ten Commandments! As you enter the courtroom of the Supreme Court you will notice two huge oak doors. The Ten Commandments are engraved on the lower portion of each door. Inside the courtroom you can see the Ten Commandments displayed on the wall right above where the Supreme Court judges sit. Bible verses are etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C. James Madison, the fourth president, known as The Father of Our Constitution made the following statement: We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God. Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said, It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established orthodox churches in the colonies. The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said, Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers. How have we gotten to the point that everything we ve done for 200 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional? Source Unknown

Our tuition expense for each student is about $40-$50 per month. But if you cannot give that much, remember the monthly minimum required for each undergraduate student is just $25; for graduates it is $35 monthly. 8 Fast Food? The Big Mac is under attack. Burger King is not having it their way. Yes, the fast-food industry is under fire. Critics are suggesting that the traditional fast-food restaurants need to concentrate more on the food part of that label than the fast part. The food, some contend, has too much of what s not good for you and not enough of what is. The big chains are responding. That s why McDonald s switched to a less fatty cooking oil for its French fries. That s why Wendy s brought in a line of salads. That s why Burger King added a veggie burger. Of course, there is nothing wrong with the methodology of providing fast service. Drive-through service isn t the problem. The problem is with what people go to restaurants for food. Apparently, the food is under question because it s not providing the healthy fare some people would like. We can have the same problem in our times of worship and study of God s Word whether at home or at church. The method is not the problem; it s about the substance the food. Think about it. Are you getting well-fed on truths from God s Word, or are you getting fill-em-up nuggets that fill up the time but don t give you anything that helps you grow spiritually? With fast food, scientists can run tests and determine calories and fat content. With spiritual nutrition, we need a test to see if we are getting what we need. These questions may help. Is what I m studying or reading based solidly on Scripture and not on someone s opinion? (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Can it be supported by specific verses? Is my study Jesus-centered in approach and teaching and seeking to glorify God and not man? If you want to grow spiritually, don t settle for anything but the solid food of God s Word. 9 Don t Call Them Underprivileged! Has it ever occurred to you that no Americans were more underprivileged than that small handful from the Mayflower who started the custom of setting aside a day of Thanksgiving to Almighty God? They had no homes & no government agency to help them build houses. They had no means of transportation but their legs. Their only food came from the sea & the forest, & they had to get it for themselves. They had no money & no place to spend it if they d had any. They had no amusements except what they made for themselves, no means of communication with their relatives in England, no social security or medicare. But anyone who dared to call them underprivileged would probably have ended up in the stocks, for they did have four of the greatest human assets: initiative, courage, a willingness to work, & a boundless faith in God. Our forefathers had a boundless faith in God. That almost sounds strange today in a time when powerful forces are at work in our nation to strip us of every reminder that the very foundation of our nation was built upon the conviction that we are one nation, under God.
