"For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever" means, We have made all these requests of you because, as our all-powerful king, you not only want to, but are able to give us all that is good; and because your holy name, and not we ourselves, should receive all the praise, forever. What does that little word "Amen" express? This is sure to be! It is even more sure that God listens to my prayer, than that I really desire what I pray for. Introduction of New Members Brian and Julie Rodgers will be celebrating ten years of marriage in August. In those ten years they have had six children so far: Margaret (9), Penelope (7), Rosemary (6), Samuel (5), Bethany (3), and Silas (almost 2). Julie's oldest daughter Allie is 15 and currently lives in Atlanta. The Rodgers live in Somerville and have a farm, where they raise goats, pigs, chickens, and cows. Brian owns an electrical testing company called AMP, and Julie homeschools the children. Aside from farming and gardening, the Rodgers family enjoys camping, hiking, bonfires, and S'mores. 8 ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION CLASSES SUMMER :30 AM College Students Class: Upcoming, current, and those who have graduated in the past year! DPC has a Christian Education (aka. Sunday School) class this summer especially for you. Please come and enjoy good fellowship, coffee, breakfast treats and an interactive Bible study on Jonah lead by Greg Smith and Chip Walraven. The College class meets each Sunday at 9:30 am in the choir room adjacent to the Sanctuary. We hope to see you and feel free to bring a friend. GroupMe updates will follow. Hebrews: The book of Hebrews was written to encourage Christians who are struggling in their faith to remain strong and persevere. Join us in studying this complex book. The class is taught by Kent Quinn and meets in the classroom down the hall from the Church office Foundations of the Faith: What is the gospel? Why do we need it? What is salvation? How do we receive it? What difference does it make? Paul's letter to the Romans carefully and lovingly answers these questions and more. Join us as we unpack this gospel message and what it means for us. This class, led by Stuart Smith, meets in the Parlor (in the children/youth wing) and is open to everyone.
