1 GREATER FELLOWSHIP MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH Rev. Howard O. Rose, Pastor Sunday, October 6, NORTHWEST 65TH ST. MIAMI, FLORIDA 33147, Phone: Website: Check us out on Facebook Theme for the Year: A Call To Be Faithful To The Work Of God While Keeping Our Faith In God Mission Statement Our Mission Is To Encourage Humanity To Come To Christ, To Promote God s Holy Spirit, And To Bring Glory To His Name By Embracing Our Community And Fellow Man Through Caring, Sharing, Service, And Sacrifice. What an awesome day it was... The ship was packed on a fifth Sunday. Rev. Rose taught from the scripture Psalms 138:1-8. As usual the Holy Ghost filled the sanctuary. Greater Fellowship is truly blessed. Thank you Lord for blessing us. To God Be The Glory!!!!!! Worship, according to the dictionary means: to show profound religious devotion, to have intense love and admiration Praise, on the other hand, means: to express admiration or approval for, to express thanks and worship to God In other words, praise and worship go hand in hand.

3 Lunch with God A little boy wanted to meet GOD. He knew it was a long trip to where GOD lived, so he packed his suitcase with twinkies and a six pack of root beer, and he started his journey. When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her a twinkie. She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a root beer. Again, she smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word. As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old woman, and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever. When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later; his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you so happy?" He replied, "I had lunch with GOD."But before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!" Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked, "Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?" She replied, "I ate Twinkies in the park with GOD." However, before her son responded, she added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected." Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally! Be our Light, our Guide, and our Comforter. Be our Strength, our Courage, and our Sanctifier. May this new year be a time of deep spiritual growth for us, A time of welcoming your graces and gifts, A time for forgiving freely and unconditionally, A time for growing in virtue and goodness. Words of Appreciation Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage, and confidence." Og Mandino "There has never been another you. With no effort on your part you were born to be something very special and set apart. What you are going to do in appreciation of that gift is a decision only you can make." Dan Zadra "Prosperity depends more on wanting what you have than having what you want." Geoffrey F. Abert "I would rather be able to appreciate things I cannot have than to have things I am not able to appreciate." Elbert Hubbard "
5 We had GFMBC Women s Revival and workshops on Thursday, September 12 and Friday, September 13, THE WORKSHOPS: Thursday s workshop facilitator was our own Sis. Lisa Crawford, who did a spectacular job educating us about the importance of Wills. She explained that everyone should have a Will in order to eliminate confusion when the time comes, especially a Living Will. We thank Sis. Crawford for sharing her time and knowledge with us. Friday s workshop facilitator was Sis. Lakeycia Garcia. Sis. Garcia focused on our young people. She explained the importance of maintaining a good image, by dressing and acting apprioprately at all times. She also explained that we should be careful not to put our personal business on social networks. We would like to thank Sis. Garcia for once again coming out to help us educate our young ladies. THE REVIVAL: The revival began each night at 7:30 pm. The speaker for the revival was Rev. Gloria Jackson Davis from New Shiloh Baptist Church. On Thursday night Rev. Davis taught from the scripture John 12:1-3 and from the subject The Worker, The Witness and The Worshiper Which one are you? On Friday night she taught from the scripture 1 Samuel 17:3 and the subject I can handle this As usual Rev. Davis blessed our souls. We are truly grateful to her of accepting our invitation to come revive us. The Women s Ministry would like to thank everyone you participated in the revival. Come, Holy Spirit, Spirit of the Risen Christ, be with us today and always.
6 The celebration began on Friday, September 20,2013 at 7:30 with a musical. The master of Ceremonies for the musical was Bro. Parese Brown, who as usual did an awesome job. We were blessed by selections from Mt. Vernon MBC choir, Antioch of Brownsville MBC, First Baptist of Brownville MBC and our own GFMBC Mass Choir directed by Bro. Brandon Toles. All choirs did a wonderful job helping us praise the Lord in through song. The celebration climaxed with a worship service on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 3:30 pm. We were extremely blessed by the awesome Rev R Roundtree. Rev Roundtree taught from the scripture Genesis 22:15-19 and the subject It won t happen overnight Once again Rev. Roundtree preached a powerful on time message.we truly thank him for always coming and blessing The Ship. The Music Ministry would like to thank everyone who participated in the success of this program. RECALL NOTICE The Maker of all human beings (GOD) is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart. This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect has been technically termed "Sub-sequential Internal Non- Morality," or more commonly known as S.I.N., as it is primarily expressed. Some of the symptoms include: 1. Loss of direction 2. Foul vocal emissions 3. Amnesia of origin 4. Lack of peace and joy 5. Selfish or violent behavior 6. Depression or confusion in the mental component 7. Fearfulness 8. Idolatry 9. Rebellion No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, Jesus will replace it with: The Manufacturer, who is neither liable nor at fault for this defect, is providing factory-authorized repair 1. Love 2. Joy 3. Peace 4. Patience 5. Kindness 6. Goodness 7. Faithfulness 8. Gentleness 9. Self control and service free of charge to correct this defect. The Repair Technician, JESUS, has most generously offered to bear the entire burden of the staggering cost of these repairs. There is no additional fee required. The number to call for repair in all areas is: P-R- A-Y-E-R. Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair Technician, Jesus, into the heart component Please see the operating manual, the B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) for further details on the use of these fixes. WARNING: Continuing to operate the human being unit without correction voids any manufacturer warranties, exposing the unit to dangers and problems too numerous to list and will result in the human unit being permanently impounded. For free emergency service, call on Jesus.
