1 Introduction God Does Not Show Partiality Or put another way from the KJV, God is no respecter of persons If not careful, we as Christians can be deceived into thinking that we can live an ungodly life, offer occasional worship to God and in the end be saved We are making the same mistake as many who believe in some form that God is partial, is a respecter of persons To be partial means to look on individuals or groups either favorably or unfavorably based on arbitrary and superficial factors 2 Introduction But we read in both the Old and New Testaments that God is not partial, no respecter of persons God s actions are always based on His just, holy, loving and merciful nature and perfect standard Knowing this, we focus on some applications of this principle relating to our salvation and judgment 3 Deu 10:17 "For the LORD your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe. Lev 19:15 'You shall do no injustice in judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly. 4 Col 3:22 Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. Col 3:23 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, Col 3:24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is Col 3:25 For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality. Eph 6:9 And masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him. the Lord Christ whom you serve. 5 6

2 Rom 3:9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; Rom 3:10 as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; Rom 3:11 THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; 7 Rom 3:12 ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE." Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 8 Jas 2:8 If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF," you are doing well. Jas 2:9 But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. Jas 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all. Jas 2:11 For He who said, "DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY," also said, "DO NOT COMMIT MURDER." Now if you do not commit adultery, but do commit murder, you have become a transgressor of the law Jesus Died For All Sinners 1Jn 2:1 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; 1Jn 2:2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Joh 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life

Joh 12:49 "For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. 2Co 5:9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. 2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad Co 5:11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences. 21 Rom 2:3 But do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment on those who practice such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God? Rom 2:4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? 22 Rom 2:5 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, Rom 2:6 who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: Rom 2:7 to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; Rom 2:8 but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation

5 Rom 2:9 There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek, Rom 2:10 but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Rom 2:11 For there is no partiality with God. 25 God Does Not Show Partiality 1. All people of accountable age have sinned 2. Jesus died for all sinners 3. God has given one plan of salvation for all 4. Jesus only adds those who are saved to his one body 5. Jesus will judge all by one perfect standard 26
