Unique in character and contribu on to the canon, Esther is an amazing narra ve complete with tragedy and triumph. You'll encounter intrigue, ambiguity, and excess, all in theatrical form. Esther calls us to think beyond our individual lives. The book provides a greater and more awe inspired view" (of God's ac vity in human history) "that will strengthen our individual lives and deepen our personal rela onships with God." Our church, along with several others in the community, takes turns making the meal and serving the public at the loca on. We buy all the ingredients, cook what is needed and serve it in an assembly line fashion on that night.
