3 Announcements Praise the Lord for the salvation of Rosio last week. Her spiritual birthday is 7 th May 2017! J This morning pastor will continue this year s theme Pressing On. Today is our sixth message entitled Pressing On Toward the Blessed Hope Evening service as usual at 5:30pm. We will continue to look at the topic Israel s Feasts in Prophecy. Tonight we will continue with the fourth feast; Pentecost. Prayer time before the morning service as usual every Sunday morning. See one of the deacons if you want to join them. Thus, to Pilate, Jesus declared, My kingdom is not of this world (John:18:36). He did not mean that His kingdom is totally detached from this earth but that it is not of this world system. In fact, it stands in opposition thereto. This present world system (including the new world order), which belongs to Satan, must be destroyed for the kingdom of God to be established. The Implausibility of Evolution Beware Worldly Seductions Dave Hunt We are warned, Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him (1 John:2:15). Satan is called the god of this world (2 Corinthians:4:4), and those who love this world are siding with and honouring Satan, whether they realize it or not. Indeed, they are on the road to Satan worship, which will be the worldwide religion during the Great Tribulation (Revelation:13:4). One evidence that Christianity has been seduced by Satan is the fact that those who are highly honoured by the world are, on that basis alone, given instant and special honour in the church. The Christian media fawns over a sports hero, an attractive actress, a wealthy businessman, or a highly placed politician who has supposedly become a Christian. These too-often immature, worldly new believers are heroes of the faith and role modes for youth and Christians turn out by the thousands to ooh and aah at their testimonies. Yet the humble, godly missionary, mature in the faith, who has remained true to Christ through decades of privation, temptation, hardship, and danger, and who has won souls in difficult fields of labour, can scarcely draw an audience. Jesus told His disciples, If ye were of the world, the world would love his own; but because ye are 5 P a g e Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6 If you're a long-time listener, you know that Creation Moments does not discuss politics. That's why today's program focuses not on Ben Carson's political involvements but on Dr. Carson's courage as a scientist and world-renowned surgeon for sharing his politically incorrect views on Darwinian evolution. In his book, Take the Risk, Dr. Carson makes it crystal clear that he rejects Darwinian evolution. Here is a portion of what he wrote: "For me, the plausibility of evolution is strained by Darwin's assertion that within fifty to one hundred years of his time, scientists would become geologically sophisticated enough to find the fossil remains of the entire evolutionary tree in an unequivocal step-by-step progression of life from amoeba to man including all of the intermediate species." Dr. Carson continues: "Of course, that was 150 years ago, and there is still no such evidence. It's just not there. But when you bring that up to the proponents of Darwinism, the best explanation they can come up with is 'Well uh it's lost!' Here again I find it requires too much faith for me to

6 believe that explanation, given all the fossils we have found without any fossilized evidence of the direct, step-by-step evolutionary progression from simple to complex organisms or from one species to another species. Shrugging and saying, 'Well, it was mysteriously lost, and we'll probably never find it,' doesn't seem like a particularly satisfying, objective, or scientific response." Who's Looking Out for You? And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. Genesis 28:15 A cable TV news commentator often poses the question "Who's looking out for you?" implying that he's looking out for his viewers. Well, Christians know who's really looking out for us. That would be Jesus, the One who created us, saved us and watches out over us every hour of our lives. But in His wisdom, our Creator has also given us a number of animals to watch out for us in a more earthly sense. These creatures are known as animal sentinels. Perhaps the best-known animal sentinel is the canary. As Wikipedia tells us, "The idea of placing a canary or other warm blooded animal in a mine to detect carbon monoxide was first proposed by John Scott Haldane, in 1913." This is where the familiar phrase "canary in a coal mine" came from. Over the years, man has turned to many other creatures to keep us safe. Honeybees, for example, have been used to test for air pollution. Bivalve mollusks help us do water-quality surveys. Pigeons are excellent at detecting lead in the atmosphere. Man's best friend has been used to provide early warning of lead-poisoning hazards in the home. Even cats have been helpful in determining household exposures to pesticides, cigarette smoke and other carcinogens. ingenuity to know how these animals can be used for our protection. This makes evolutionists just like the patient who goes to his doctor, convinced that he is dead. After failing to convince the patient he is alive, the doctor pricks the man's finger, causing it to bleed. "See?" the doctor says. You must be alive because dead men don't bleed." And the patient replies: "Imagine that! Dead men do bleed after all!" Evolutionists know full well that dinosaur bones that are millions of years old should not have blood and blood vessels in them. To defend their position, they usually say the bones were contaminated, throwing off the dating. But North Carolina State University said that their researchers "have confirmed that blood vessel-like structures found in an 80 million-year-old hadrosaur fossil are original to the animal, and not biofilm or other contaminants." But like the patient who kept thinking he was dead, the university went on to say that their findings "add to the growing body of evidence that structures like blood vessels and cells can persist over millions of years." Evolutionists just won't admit that their evolutionary dating of dinosaurs has finally been falsified. After all, that would be like admitting that the Bible is right, and this is something that atheistic evolutionists will never do. Let us not forget to thank God for giving us these animal sentinels and for giving humans the -6-

7 The Fish with Three Lines of Defense NOTES Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 To hear evolutionists tell it, millions of years of chance mutations, combined with natural selection, produced all manner of living creatures. Now, let's look at just one creature the porcupinefish and see how the theory of evolution works out in real life. If the theory fails the test, it's a strong indicator that the theory lacks the power to explain the existence of any living creature. The porcupinefish is blessed with not one, not two, but three lines of defense. The first comes into play when a predator is near. The porcupinefish quickly swallows a large amount of water, practically doubling its size. This makes the fish too large for some predators to swallow. The second line of defense comes into play as the fish transforms itself into a football-sized balloon covered with menacing barbs. Its scales stand on end, turning it into an aquatic version of the landdwelling porcupine. The very sight of these sharp scales protruding in every direction scares off many predators. The third line of defense for some porcupinefish species is the neurotoxin in their internal organs a toxin that's at least twelve-hundred times more potent than cyanide. As Wikipedia points out, "As a result of these three defenses, porcupinefish have few predators." Now, can evolutionists explain how this unique fish came to have these three lines of defense? No, they can't. Not even Darwin tried to explain it when he wrote about the porcupinefish in his book The Voyage of the Beagle. -7-
