HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! Our powerful God created the world and everything in it in six days. God created all things for His own purposes. God s purpose for us is to have a relationship with Him.

1 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! Our powerful God created the world and everything in it in six days. God created all things for His own purposes. God s purpose for us is to have a relationship with Him. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. Why did God create us? 2. Tell a story: Take a few moments and share your family history with your child. Share pictures or memories with your child. Retell the events surrounding his birth or arrival at your home. Take a few moments and tell him how special he is and that the world doesn t have a copy of him. He is a unique creation of God and made in His image. 3. Do you have a relationship with Jesus Christ? What is a relationship? How does your family relate with one another? Creator section in the T&T kid s handbook, your T&T kids were asked to draw or write about a time what they made something. REVELATION 4:11 Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created.

2 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! God is holy, which means He is perfect, without sin, and always does what s right. We are not holy like God because we are sinners. But through Christ, we become holy in God s sight and God s Holy Spirit helps us do what s right. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. What does it mean that God is holy? 2. Tell a story: Describe a time when you had a difficult time making the right decision. What did you feel as you debated all the options? How did you come to your conclusion in the end? What is something you want your child to know as he will have to make hard decisions in the future? 3. How can you be holy? What do you think would change if a family decided to follow the example of Christ? 3 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! God is perfectly just, which means He always gives people what they deserve. The Bible says those who sin deserve death and punishment in hell forever. But God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take our punishment and give us life forever in heaven. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. What does it mean that God is just? 2. Tell a story: Describe a time when you experienced justice as a result of your actions. Describe what choices you made and how those led to the consequences you received. Were you judged fairly? Why is God the most qualified to judge the entire world? 3. What is something you see in this world that is unfair? How can God use your family to change this injustice in the world? A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is He.

His love is perfect and amazing, because He sent His Son to die for us and take our punishment, even though we are sinners and enemies of God. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. What does it mean that God is love? 2. Tell a story: Describe a time when you loved someone and didn t expect anything in return. You simply loved him and nothing could change the way you felt about him. 3. What are some ways in which we can love one another without expecting something in return? Love section in the T&T kid s handbook, your T&T kids were asked to draw or write about a way that they can show love to people. EPHESIANS 2:4-5 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us. Even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved.

5 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! God is eternal, which means He has no beginning or end. He has always been alive, and He will always be alive. He offers us eternal life (life forever with Him) if we choose to trust Christ as Savior. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. What does it mean that God is eternal? 2. Tell a story: It s hard to imagine living without a beginning or end. Describe a time when you were bound by the constraints of time. How did it impact your overall situation? 3. Why is it important to remember that God is eternal, especially when you are having a difficult time with something? Eternal section in the T&T kid s handbook, your T&T kids were asked to draw a picture of each person, including themselves, in their family and circle anyone born before them and underline anyone born after them. PSALM 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting You are God.

6 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! God s character teaches us who we are. God is our Creator who is holy and just. We know that He created us for a relationship with Him, but we cannot have one because we are sinners who deserve the punishment of death for our sin. But because God is loving and eternal, we know that we are loved, and that He has made a way to save us from our punishment and give us life forever with Him. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. How do we begin a relationship with God, our Creator? 2. Tell a story: Describe a time when you reflected on who God is. Why is it important to reflect on the character of God? How has your life been different because of learning about the character of God? 3. What is one thing you can do to show others the love of Christ this week? Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. Where is God when you are going through difficult times? 2. Tell a story: Describe a time when you went through a difficult situation and God was with you. How did your outlook on the situation change because you knew God was with you? Why can you trust God when everything seems to be going wrong? 3. Because we know God is with us, how might this change the way we respond during happy and difficult times? Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
