1 How to Use Interactive EBulletins To fill in the note sheet during service, download the Adobe Acrobat Reader app.open the note sheet in the Adobe Acrobat app. You can fill in the notes by clicking in the blank and typing. You can also fill in sermon notes on your phone by downloading NMC s app. Just search Nappanee Missionary Church in your app store.

One of the most familiar passages of the Old Testament is found in Isaiah 9:6-7: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.

He will reign on David s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

They felt hopeless amidst enemies that were seeking to destroy them. In the overwhelming darkness, a bright light appears. It s the light of Jesus. It s the light that gives us hope.

And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. What most people overlook in this passage is the context of those rich prophetic words. In Isaiah 7-8, we read about hard circumstances. God s people were pushed to the limit. They felt hopeless amidst enemies that were seeking to destroy them. In the overwhelming darkness, a bright light appears. It s the light of Jesus. It s the light that gives us hope. It s the light that makes order out of chaos, hope out of despair. Just as God s people in the past discovered the One who was, and is, and is to come, we can live with that same confidence. God, in His divine sovereignty, has placed you on earth at this time for a reason. Your life has purpose and meaning. You are not an accident. When we follow Him, all the pieces of the puzzle fit together. Our hardest moments now make sense, and a bright future shines ahead of us. This confidence is totally based on the foundation of the One who was and is and is to come! Embrace it! Live it! Share it! December 9 Christmas in the Grand Come enjoy a traditional evening of fellowship, cookies, wassail, and singing classic Christmas songs together in the Grand Hall. The program starts at 6:00 PM. Opportunities 2019 Giving Envelopes are available in the Grand Hall. If you don't have envelopes and would like them, please stop by the Ministry Center. Christmas Cookie Need We will gladly accept cookies for Christmas in the Grand (Dec. 9) and the Choir Christmas concert (Dec. 16). Sign up at the Ministry Center. You can drop them off in the Main Office or in the Grand Hall Kitchen. kids and Students December 8 KidzBlitz KidzBlitz Christmas is a high energy, meaningful event for the whole family. The Christmas message will be clearly communicated using interactive games and challenges. All are welcome. When/Where: 6:30 PM Worship Center December 2, 2018 December 16 Choir Christmas Worship Experience Join us as the Worship Choir brings the joy of Jesus through old and new Christmas songs. Cookies, coffee and wassail will be served in the Grand Hall 30 minutes prior to the event. When/Where: 3:30 & 6 PM Worship Center December 19 Annual Congregational Meeting Courtyard Commons At 6:00 PM, NMC members will vote on appointments to various committees & boards and the proposed 2019 general budget. Anyone is welcome to attend. December 24 Christmas Eve Services Join us as we celebrate Jesus' birth together. If you like to welcome and engage with people, this may be the opportunity for you. This is a twice a month commitment for one service. Wisdom increases when we link ourselves to its source. A growing relationship with Jesus and learning to walk in His Word gives us great guidance for every step of our journey. Wonderful He can do what no one else can do., pleasing,. Three words describe our Wonderful Counselor: Word One: You will never be. Hebrews 13:5, Deuteronomy 31:6 Word Two: There's a call for. Proverbs 15:22, 19:29, 24:6 Sources that are thought to be wisdom but can fail you: 1. Romans 12:2 2. It's not about a but a. 3. Our. Jeremiah 7:24 My inner instinct cannot be until it is first! Word Three: Jesus' primary way of giving counsel is through the of God. John 14:26 The of God will never contradict the of God. Questions to Process: What are the issues for which I need His wisdom?
