I, a poor sinner, plead guilty before God of all my sins. At times I have served unfaithfully and have not done what is required of me. I have angered those around me and have provoked them to curse 3

4 and swear. I have been negligent toward others and have caused damage to be done. My words and deeds have been offensive. I have quarreled with my peers. I have aggravated my spouse, my children, my friends, and my co-workers. For these things, I am truly sorry, and plead for Your infinite grace and mercy. I want to do better. Almighty God in His mercy has given His Son to die for you and for His sake forgives you all your sins. As a called and ordained servant of Christ, and by His authority, I therefore declare unto you the forgiveness of all of your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We celebrate Holy Communion each week here at Peace, and it is a confession of faith that is confessed at this altar, that this meal of Christ s body and blood in, with and under the bread and the wine for the forgiveness of sins and strengthening of faith. Any who are not yet instructed, who is in doubt or who holds a confession different than that of this congregation or the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and still desires the Sacrament, are asked to speak with the pastor before communing.
