Picking the Other Adults The parents and the Multi-Generational Ministry (MGM) Leader meet to find a group of adults for the teen. ALWAYS start with other adults in the parent s small group. If the parent is not currently connected in a small group, the MGM Leader will FIRST help the parent get connected in a small group with the assistance of Welcome Staff. If there are not enough adults in the parent s small group, the MGM Leader and parent will work together to find other adults in the congregation. 2. Gather the Group Set a time before or after your service to meet together for 20 minutes. Please make sure that the teen has CIRCLED 10 short courses on the other side of this page BEFORE they come into the room. 3. Contact Info As people come into the room have everyone fill out the information below! Make sure the parent and teen also fill out the sheet information. 4. Group Pick one person (usually the parent) as the Administrator who is in charge of ing everyone in the room the names, cell numbers and the order & subject of short courses with each person in one group within 24 hours of the meeting. (Make sure this person checks the spelling to ensure they can read each clearly.) This will connect everyone and set everyone upon a clear, calm path. 5. Passing the Baton When each short course is finished, the adult is to alert people in TWO ways. a. Text the next short course adult that the current short course is finished and the baton is now passed. b. Hit Reply All on chain and let everyone know that their next short course is finished. This makes it easy to organize the entire meeting in a few minutes and keeps everyone updated through the process so they can cover in prayer. 29 Youth Detention Center in Marietta Weekly Bible Study Ted Myers 15 years Ted Myers is a long term faithful member of Sunday 10. For FIFTEEN years, Ted has gone faithfully EVERY Tuesday night to this Bible study at the Marietta Youth Detention Center as part of a local ministry. We have had some other Liberty men & women participate in this ministry but Ted has been the long term faithful one. Young people at this YDC are usually there for 6-24 months and are in the age range. The ministry gets multiple opportunities each year to interact w/ the parents and gets to build relationship with the young people. This is a picture perfect situation for us to reach out to these young people and their parents. With our Multi-Generational vision we have the people and the resources to help these families once these young people are released.

They need adult interaction and we want to make sure that they are safe young people before we take any chances of them being bad influences among the Youth.
