3 STEP 1DO YOU THINK YOU ARE A GOOD PERSON? HAVE YOU KEPT GOD S TEN COMMANDMENTS? Let s look at a few of them: You Shall Not Bear False Witness Have you ever told a lie? You Shall Not Steal Did you ever take something that wasn t yours (even something small?) You Shall Not Murder Hating a brother is murder. Have you ever hated? (1 John 3:15 & Matt. 5:21-22) You Shall Not Commit Adultery But Jesus said that if you look with lust, you have committed adultery (Matthew 5:28) Did you ever lust? 3

cuss word? Honor Your Father and your Mother Did you ever disobey your parents? HOW DID YOU DO?

4 HOW ARE YOU DOING SO FAR? Here are two more: You Shall Not Misuse The Name of the Lord Your God Did you ever use God s name as a cuss word? Honor Your Father and your Mother Did you ever disobey your parents? HOW DID YOU DO? For whoever shall keep the whole law (10 Commandments) and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. (James 2:10) 4... all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with re... (Rev. 21:8b)

5 THE BAD NEWS All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) The wages of sin is death; (Romans 6:23) SEPARATION FROM GOD If you died today and God judged you by His 10 Commandments would you be GUILTY OR INNOCENT? Did you earn heaven or deserve hell? See the next page for the GOOD NEWS! 5

6 STEP 2 THE GOOD NEWS 6 Although all of us have sinned by breaking God s commandments, God provided a way for us to be forgiven, to Know Him and have ETERNAL LIFE

ETERNAL LIFE FOR YOU For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, That whoever BELIEVES IN HIM should not perish but have eternal life.

(John 3:16) And Jesus Christ, God s Son said: I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10) In my Father s house are many mansions... I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you. I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (John 14:2-3) 7

8 3STEP JESUS CHRIST, GOD S SON, PAID OUR DEATH PENALTY WHEN HE DIED IN OUR PLACE. "But God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8) "But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:7) 8 THEN JESUS PROVED HE HAD POWER OVER DEATH. "Christ died for our sins... He was buried... He was raised on the third day... He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than ve hundred..." (1 Corinthians 15:3-6)

9 Jesus is the only way to God the Father "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.' " (John 14:6) HOLY GOD & ETERNAL LIFE SINFUL PEOPLE JESUS CHRIST SEPARATION "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5) The next step tells how to cross over to God s side and eternal life... 9

10 4STEP BELIEVE AND TRUST THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS FOR YOUR SINS. Therefore by Faith: WE MUST REPENT (TURN FROM SINS)... unless you repent, you will all likewise perish (Luke 13:3) WE MUST RECEIVE CHRIST But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on His name. (John 1:12) 10 WE MUST LOVE AND OBEY HIM Jesus said, If you love Me, keep My commandments (John 14:15)

11 By Faith you must open the door of your heart and life by Receiving and Believing in Him. Jesus Said. BEHOLD I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK; IF ANY ONE HEARS MY VOICE AND OPENS THE DOOR, I WILL COME IN TO HIM AND DINE WITH HIM. (Revelation 3:20) For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8,9) Would you like to invite Jesus into your life? Here s how... 11

12 PRAYER You can pray this prayer now. The words aren't so important, but you must mean it with all your heart. Heavenly Father, I admit that I ve sinned by breaking your Ten Commandments. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died in my place for my sins and rose again. I now open the door of my heart and life to receive Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I turn from my old ways to love, obey, and follow Him. I pray this in Jesus Name. Amen. 12 YOUR NAME NOW TELL OTHERS!!! DATE Jesus said:...whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven. (Matt. 10:32)

PROOF that you now have ETERNAL LIFE 1. Did you believe? "...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

13 PROOF that you now have ETERNAL LIFE 1. Did you believe? "...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:19) 2. Does His Spirit bear witness with yours? "The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God." (Rom. 8:16) 3. There will be evidence of a changed life. Jesus said, "...if anyone will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me..." (Luke 9:23-26) "...God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life,...that you may know that you have eternal life..." (I John 5:11-13) 13

NOW GROW STRONG! TELL OTHERS BAPTISM ATTEND CHURCH 1.

Pray & give thanks to your heavenly Father daily.

A true church teaches that only by receiving

14 NOW GROW STRONG! TELL OTHERS BAPTISM ATTEND CHURCH 1. Read your Bible daily and obey it. Begin in the NEW testament. First, read the Gospel of John. 2. Pray & give thanks to your heavenly Father daily. Pray in Jesus Name. 3. Attend a Bible believing church. Be careful - some churches are false. A true church teaches that only by receiving (believing in) Jesus Christ do we become children of God. 14 PRAY BIBLE LOVE OUR FOUNDATION JESUS CHRIST 4. Be baptized in water. Jesus commanded it. (Matthew 28:18-20) 5. Let your love for Jesus bring others to Him. Use this booklet to share Christ with others wherever you are. (Romans 1:16)
