The Bishop also consecrates the Sacred Chrism, which is used to anoint the newly baptized, seal candidates for Confirmation, as well as in the rites of anointing during the dedication of churches and altars. The Chrism Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 26 at 7:30 PM in St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold. 3 March 18, 2018 Page 3 #623 Holy Cross Vocation Chalice One of the responsibilities we have as Catholics is to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Holy Cross Vocation Chalice is a great opportunity for families to pray together to promote vocations. Just take the chalice home, place it in a prominent place and pray for vocations. Prayers are included with the chalice. Return the chalice after a week for the next family to take home. If your family would be interested in participating, please call the Parish Office, or fill out a form on the parish website. Praying for vocations is the most powerful way to support vocations. A vocation is a call from the Holy Spirit, a gift from God that is nurtured in prayer. When we pray for vocations, we lift up to our Father those men and women whom He is calling to follow Him in a very special way. Holy Cross Men s Group Join us on March 22, at 7:30 PM, our topic will be; Session I: The Mystery of God Atheism and what we mean by God There are lots of views about God. Some see him as a mythical fairy in the sky, others as the Supreme Being. Some consider him a threat to our freedom. But for Christians, God is not one being among many. He's not a competitor to our flourishing. God is that than which nothing greater can be thought, the strange and unique source of being itself. Before discussing anything about God we must become clear about one question: who is God? New members are always welcome! Charismatic Healing Mass The Healing Shepherd Prayer Group invites all to attend a Healing Mass on Monday, March 26th at 8:00 PM in Holy Cross Church. All are welcome to attend! Holy Cross School Mass Everyone is welcome to join us at the next Holy Cross School Mass on Wednesday of Holy Week, March 28th at 9:00 AM in the Church. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament At Holy Cross Come to church and pray before the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.
