Have you tried talking, pleading, and trying to control every move they make? God s healing begins with you and spreads throughout the family. Join others in seeking deliverance. We meet every Thursday night, 7:30 PM, in the school for spiritual guidance, prayer and worship. For more info, call David Bowen at RECONCILIATION True reconciliation is emotional, dramatic, and cleansing. When two people meet heart to heart and work through old hurts, misunderstandings, and careless words, cleansing tears often flow and the encounter ends with an embrace that fills both with the warmth of a love too strong to fade. The readings this weekend assure us of this healthy release that comes with reconciliation. They give us the courage to reach out to someone with whom we need to reconcile ourselves, and give us the courage to ask for forgiveness from God, too. In the reading from Exodus, we see how God refuses again and again to give up on the Israelites. Even though they grow impatient with God and turn to false idols, God still calls them back. Luke s Gospel assures us that God rejoices when we turn away from sin. Paul s letter to Timothy encourages us, like Paul, to look back on our lives and recognize where God s patient mercy has been shown to us. Copyright J. S. Paluch Co. Today s readings First Reading Who can ever know God s counsel unless God gives wisdom and sends the Holy Spirit from on high? (Wisdom 9:13-18b). Psalm In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge (Psalm 90). Second Reading Paul asks Philemon to accept back his slave Onesimus, not as a slave but as a brother (Philemon 9-10, 12-17). Gospel To be a disciple of Jesus one must carry one s own cross and renounce all possessions (Luke 14:25-33). Charismatic Office phone number is Give thanks to the Father, for He is good He created the world with wisdom He leads His people throughout history He pardons and welcomes His children His Mercy is forever Why register at your church? Have you ever wondered why you need to register with your church? Can t you just come to Mass and go about your business? Of course, the short answer to that is, yes, you can. But there are very good reasons to register. Church is about our experience of God in community. The first step to community is getting to know one another. When people register at the church, it gives the staff an opportunity to know a little about you: your name, where you live, your profession, languages you speak, your interests, hobbies, etc. It also gives you a chance to know your church better because the staff can then contact you and keep you informed. Registering is the first step toward getting involved and becoming a member of the community. It is our call from God to make available to our members the Sacraments, religious education, and spiritual support whether it is a good period in your life or a difficult time. We also have the responsibility to make it possible for our members to live their baptismal call by providing opportunities to get involved in ministry and service (All those in ministry at St Bartholomew are asked to register). Members have rights and responsibilities also. All Christians are called to take an ACTIVE role in the work of the Body of Christ. You have a right to all that is listed above, which is our responsibility to provide. And you are also responsible for your parish community. You have the responsibility to support the work of the church by giving of your time, your talents which come from God, and your treasure in financial support of your church. All of this is called STEWARDSHIP. It means that membership in the church is a two way street for all of us. We are responsible to one another and to the functioning of the whole. Your active membership in the church also makes it easy to provide a letter for school, a sponsorship certificate if you are asked to be a Godparent, and much more. So please register TODAY and use your envelopes regularly to support your church community.

Lè de moun rankontre kè a kè pou repare yon malantandi oswa yon pwoblem antre yo, bien souvan, dlo koule nan je yo epi rankont lan fini ak yon anbrasad plen chalè ak yon renmen ki telman fò li pap janm fennen. Lekti fen semèn sa a ban nou asirans yon sante total ke rekonsilyasyon pote pou nou. Lekti yo ban nou kouraj pou nou rive soti al rankontre yon moun ke nou bezwen Rekonsilye avèk li, ak kouraj tou pou nou mande Bondye padon. Nan lekti ki soti nan Egzòd la, nou wè ki jan Bondye refize lage pèp Izrayèl la. Menm si yo te enève ak Bondye epi yo vire al jwenn fo zidòl yo, Bondye toujou rele yo pou yo tounen vin jwenn li. Evanjil Lik la asire nou ke Bondye kontan lè nou vire do bay peche. Salmo Me levantaré y volveré a mi padre (Salmo 51 [50]).
