We are fully aware of busy hands, feet, and voices. Don t worry! We are overjoyed they are in worship! Should you want it, there are several great options for active hands and minds found in the entryway of the church. Restrooms are located at the front of the sanctuary to the right through the door by the piano, as well as in the Parish Hall outside the entrance doors of the church and to your left. Sanctus Holy, Holy, Holy S 129 Blue Hymnal All baptized Christians who receive communion in their home churches are welcome to receive communion (Holy Eucharist) at Calvary. The sacrament is celebrated using wheat bread wafers and wine. If you are unable to receive either for any reason, the Church has taught that to receive the sacrament in one kind is to receive fully. You may stand or kneel at the altar rail to receive communion, but if coming forward to receive communion is physically difficult then we are happy to bring communion to you in your pew. Those not partaking in communion for any reason are most welcome to come forward to the altar rail to receive a blessing from the priest. You can indicate to the priest that you are not receiving communion but desire a blessing by crossing your arms across your chest. Intercessory Prayer Most Sundays during Communion at the 9:45 service a prayer team is available stationed by the piano if you would like to have someone pray with you in thanksgiving for something or to help you lay your burdens at the feet of the Lord. 7 A N N O U N C E M E N T S QUILT RAFFLE Carol Drummond has graciously donated a HAND-SEWN / HAND-QUILTED / Double-Bed Sized quilt that will be raffled to raise money to help the church with any rainy day or unexpected issues that so often arise. The quilt is Red, White, and Blue and will be on display today, at the Rummage Sale, and other times as appropriate. The drawing will be held on Saturday, October 13 in conjunction with the CRAFT BAZAAR. 1 ticket: $5 5 tickets: $20 10 tickets: $45 Tickets can be bought in the church office. You are welcome (and encouraged!) to help sell tickets to your friends and neighbors as well! RUMMAGE SALE September 21 & 22 Donations are being taken and stored in the basement Sunday School rooms NO baby furniture, high chairs, strollers, car seats, cribs, booster seats NO mattresses, bed frames, or furniture at all because leftovers of these won t be taken by any of the area thrift stores. Toys must be complete (not missing pieces), clothing for men, women & children, housewares, bedding, linens & books will be accepted. Many hands are needed to sort and organize all the items for the sale. Bring a picnic lunch or visit one of the restaurants in Lake George. Meet at Calvary 10:00 a.m. for carpooling or meet us there CRAFT FAIR October 13 THE 10TH ANNUAL CALVARY BAZAAR IS COMING SOON!! On October 13 from 10 am - 3 pm, Calvary Church will hold its 10th Annual Holiday Bazaar with over 55 handmade crafts. The Bazaar will be held in the parish hall. Setup for the Bazaar will be Friday, October 12 starting at 3:00 pm. Sign-up sheet to help at the Bazaar will be posted in early September. Please come and help and please come and shop.
