Dear Friends Pastoral Letter May 2015 People who know me well may recall me referring to the special significance that Joshua chapter 3 holds for me. I read it in a bleak and badly built barrack room on a cold and wet August day which was my first day of national service. How appropriate that without the prop of comfortable and stable home life, here was a new venture into something totally unknown, possibly dangerous, and certainly not comfortable. Joshua, in the chapter I was reading, was leading the people across the Jordan into the Promised Land, but without the reassurance of having Moses to lend his experience as the people sought to settle and establish themselves among strangers with very different cultural and religious values. The parallels were very obvious. Now as then, as our two congregations start on a new venture as separate incumbencies within our communities in a century in which Christian faith is challenged, the parallels become obvious once again. There have been other occasions when reading the same chapter of Joshua, new beginnings in personal or family life have been unfolding. To me, this is one way in which God becomes real, speaking through the experiences of those who have gone before. In one sense this is very comforting, letting me know that others have experienced the same feelings, of insecurity in the face of the unknown, so my uncertainty or misgivings about the situation are common feelings, and if others have taken the path, then, with guidance and faith, so can I. More to the point, I can see the attitudes with which they set out into the new situation. Joshua had to simply set forth in faith, but the Ark of the Covenant was always in front of the people as they crossed the Jordon into the Promised Land. In our case, we have the promptings of the Spirit if we simply lay ourselves open to God. Here I am, Lord, use me/us. We also have the accumulated experience of being congregations in our communities for many decades, and the experience and examples of those who have gone before. As Bishop Gregor reminded us in his Sermon at the joint Eucharist, we are where we are. Whatever our own preferences may have been, whatever doubts may have clouded our minds, there is no going back. If we are to go forth prompted by the Spirit, let us remember the fruits of the Spirit cannot be found if there is rancour, jealousy or anger. There are positive signs that growth can happen in both congregations as we stand at the threshold of new beginnings. Here we are, Lord, use us. 1 Fraser Gold The Bishop s Sermon at the Joint Service St Andrew s April 12th At the joint service the readings were: Acts 4:32-35; 1 John 1:1-2:2; John 20:19-31 Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul.that is how today s first reading from Acts begins and it then goes on to describe both how this unanimity was expressed in the life of the church, not least in its material life, and how the life of the church was centred upon, and energized by, the apostolic proclamation of the resurrection of Jesus. But it is these opening words, as much as what follows on from them, that, I imagine, may strike us most forcefully today. Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul. I do not think that could be said to be true of us. We are not all of one heart and soul, at least as far as the decision to separate St Andrew s and All Saints is concerned, both the decision itself and how it has come about. During this time hard things have been said and written. We have all been convinced of the rightness of our views, of the sincerity of the positions we have adopted, of the justice of our criticisms or endorsements, whether of one another, of the Bishop, of the Rector, of whoever. But, as is often said, and as often has to be said, we are where we are and, whatever has brought us here, God remains faithful to us and God remains with us now, and into the future. And, remember, above all remember, this is the God whose business is resurrection, resurrection of Jesus and of us all with Him, from the dead. He wants us to have life in Christ s name, life that death cannot extinguish, certainly life that our disagreements cannot extinguish either. Into all of this, then, what might our readings for the Second Sunday of Easter have to offer us by way of life? Well, first of all, what in a way I ve just said. They assure us of God s gift of life to us in all its fullness: the life who is Christ, the eternal Word of God. They encourage us to lay hold of this gift by believing in Christ who is that very life these things are written.that through believing you may have life in his name. But they do more than this. They add a dose of realism, for people like you and people like me. In the midst of all this talk about the Word of life the First Letter of John suddenly intrudes the assertion if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. The writer knows that in the community gathered around the Word of life alienation from life persists and he simply asks us to be honest about that. If we are not, he says, the truth is not in us. The truth is that our hold on the life God offers is not always as firm as it might be, is often pretty precarious and that is something we need to be aware of in ourselves 2

before ever we begin to think it might be true of others in our company of believers. But the readings go further than this. They also offer true hope. Christ, they say, is always at work among us forgiving and cleansing and renewing, as our honesty about ourselves gives him openings and opportunities to bring us back to life in all its fullness. In a way that is something like what seems to have happened with Thomas in today s very celebrated Gospel. Thomas is absolutely, maybe even painfully, honest in his refusal to believe that the other disciples had seen the Lord on their own testimony. He has his own needs. Jesus seizes the opportunity and the opening that Thomas scepticism gives Him, and Thomas finds life in him my Lord and my God the very words I was taught to say, and still do say, every time the consecrated elements are lifted up for me to see. It seems to me, then, that all of us, the people of St Andrew s and the people of All Saints, at this new juncture in our lives, need above all to trust and believe in the fullness of life that God offers us always in Christ and, even more, to trust and believe that this life is offered to us just as much in this new situation as it was in the dispensation that is about to end. And, as a corollary of that, it also seems to me that we ought to be giving Christ as many openings and opportunities as possible to bring us closer and closer to that abundant life by honestly acknowledging our need of his forgiveness. And if we are like that, or anything like that, then all will be well and all manner of thing will be well. Amen. St Andrew's At the Diocesan Synod St Andrew's was raised to incumbency status and consequently Kirstin resigned from being Rector of St Andrew's, her last Sunday will be on 31 st May; Kirstin will continue as Rector of All Saints. St Andrew's vestry will be meeting with Bishop Gregor and the Dean to begin the process of appointing their own priest. This magazine will be the last joint magazine. Holidays Kirstin will be on holiday from Monday 20 th April till Saturday 2 nd May when Mike should be contacted in the first instance with any Pastoral concerns. June All Saints Magazine Please send all articles for the June magazine to Janet Stack janet.stack@btinternet.com by Sunday 24 May. The magazine will be available on Sunday 31 May JOINT SERVICE 12 APRIL 2015 Putting extra chairs out in the Church in expectation of a big influx of additional worshippers has always been a task undertaken with particular anticipation and enthusiasm by the usual St Andrew s stalwarts, and this special occasion was no different. We were delighted that their efforts were rewarded with a great turnout from both churches for this Joint Service to mark the start of a new chapter in the lives and future mission of both Churches. Not only were the pews full, but as Eucharistic Assistant on the day, I found the altar as congested as Bearsden Cross on a Saturday with the now customary roadworks underway. In addition to the Bishop with Mitre, Crosier and Crosier stand, the Rector, myself and Mike Graham were also vying for breathing space while trying not to enact scenes from a Laurel and Hardy movie. In the end I got relegated to the substitute s bench, alongside the choir, who soon realized that I was not, after all, a bonus addition to their carefully modulated chorus. At least in movies, everyone has the same script, but clearly the Bishop had a different one as he promptly changed the set readings to suit his sermon, requiring our Readers to read previously unrehearsed passages however John and James both coped admirably notwithstanding. Our choir, and our organist of course (ca va sans dire) provided a wonderful range of hymns and anthems which were particularly apt for the service, and as always, enhanced by a full church in full volume (and, moreover, in tune!) Our venerable organist only encountered difficulty during communion when playing fill pieces as everyone files up to receive communion. It must be borne in mind that he usually only ever has to play for a short period of time at this point during our normal services I think he was caught out by the number of communicants and the length of time it took as his medley of organ music took some diversions into unknown territory for him and us. At the end of the service, refreshments in the Hall provided the opportunity for both congregations to catch up with each other in the company of both the Rector and the Bishop, and as both churches embark on a new and challenging future as independent charges but unified in mission within our respective communities, we hope that we can continue to regularly come together in worship and fellowship in the future. SJM A Thankyou to Kirstin As I shall be away on Kirstin s last Sunday at the end of May, I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Kirstin, for all she has given St Andrew s Church in the 6 years she has been with us. As a congregation we have been blessed in so many 4

ways because of her ministry. Throughout her time at St Andrew s, we have had a number of new people joining us, arriving one or two at a time, numbering 10 in all. A wonderful God given blessing, and they have enriched us by their enthusiasm, gifts and talents. I know it was the Lord who brought them to us, and I believe that we are a warm and loving congregation, but many have mentioned that it was Kirstin who drew them in, the person she is, and her refreshing informality. We particularly value her fun and laughter, the inspiration of her preaching, her creativeness in worship, and the way she has stuck to her vision for St Andrew s, enabling our church to become an incumbancy. This is such an exciting and challenging time in the life of our church, and much has been due to Kirstin. It may not have all been plain sailing, but where there have been disagreements, these have been worked through on both sides in a spirit of God s healing love, whether this has been realised at the time, or not! For this, I commend Kirstin and those involved for their openness to the Holy Spirit. On a personal note, I have valued her support as a colleague, and the generous way she has shared her ministry at St Andrew s with me. Her friendship is very special to me, going back to the late 80s, when we were in training together. Those were the days! Dear Kirstin, thank you for all you have given to us, and for all you have accomplished in your time among us. We wish you God s blessing upon your continuing ministry. Liz and George Farrow All Saints Vestry Notes An All Saints Vestry meeting was held on Monday 13 April at 7.30 pm. The revised Constitution agreed at the EGM on February 22 had been passed to the Diocese for approval. The extensive public works on the water supply and drainage round about the Church reported in the last magazine had been somewhat delayed. The Rector had attended an information meeting but reported that Scottish Water were rather vague about the timetable for the work to be completed. The proposal for putting in the housing for the community defibrillator was still being considered by the planning authorities. The external lights behind the Church had now been repaired. The Rector remarked to the Vestry that the end of her responsibilities for services at St Andrews gave us the opportunity to consider changing the pattern and the timing of services at All Saints. The Vestry agreed that they 5 would discuss this matter at a future meeting and that it would be essential to survey the opinions of the congregation before changes were made. Next meetings 5 May (finance) and 11 May (other business). Holy Week Journeys in Bearsden at New Kilpatrick Church 6 Andrew Long This year s Association of Bearsden Churches ecumenical Holy Week services were held within the context of a new and unique visualisation of Jesus last week. We hope many of you were able to visit New Kilpatrick at least once to share in the experience. Local artists and groups were asked to offer pieces that express for today the emotion and depth of this eternal story, and their contributions were wonderful, in a wide variety of different ways. There was a wonderful fort built by Baljaffray Bible Class for visitors to take refuge in and spend time in the presence of our amazing God; The Junior 6 pupils at the High School of Glasgow and their teacher made a collage of their individual designs of the Cross, the symbol of the Christian faith throughout the world, and you can see this in the photo behind Margaret Sherwood s felt picture entitled Father have mercy on us in our despair. This latter expressed the anguish of the three Marys at the traumatic end of the first Holy Week. All Saints members talents were well represented. Louise Benson created a wonderful arrangement of stones and slate inspired by Psalm 71:3 Be to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortress, to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. Christine Keen provided a reflection on God s love for us in mixed media textiles, transcending the changes in human emotions and behaviour. John Duncan provided a digital installation for reflection on the conversation between Judas and Jesus, entitled Broken Bread. There was a life-sized model of Judas over-hanging the balcony, beisde an outstretched hand with both the names Judas and Peter written on it. What different outcomes...paul Freeman came at Holy Week from quite a different perspective, showing the workshop of Joseph and Sons Carpenters in which we could see their latest

commission start to take form. We could stare at 2 pieces of wood which would form a cross, but ultimately what would it become? Part of a fishing boat, the leg of a manger or a cross for a cricifixion. Everyone would have their favourite work. Interactive offerings included the wings created by the women of Baljaffray, that visitors might use the wings to rest under; we were invited to write our own prayer on a paper feather and add it into the wings. Pauline Edminston from Faith in Community Scotland, an artist who works with silks, provided a silk frame and raw silk to invite us to respond to the art on display by creating a piece of art made up of our own stories and emotions, a piece that constantly changed through the week as people added to it. In addition to the usual evening services, led from the diversity of local denominations, there was a short 10 minute reflection at midday each day. We personally found the Maundy Thursday communion most moving, and a service we will remember for some time to come. Twelve candles were lit, representing some of the key journeys portrayed during the week, and placed on the silk frame, used as the Communion Table. The bread and wine were shared, and then as all characters, and ourselves, let their Lord down, the lights were extinguished one by one leaving us in the dark of the events which led to the arrest, trial and crucifixation of Good Friday. We will not go from here believing this is all there is, we will believe through the night, and we will believe into the dawn. Rob and Christine Smith North West Regional Council Ascension Service The above service is being held in St Andrew's, Milngavie this year on 14th May beginning at 7.30pm. It has long been a tradition throughout the diocese that regions meet to worship together at Ascensiontide. Last year the Regional Council decided to reinstate this service and this is the second year of its new incarnation. This is one of the very few opportunities the region worships together and it is a good opportunity to meet those in the other Episcopal Churches surrounding us. Refreshments will be available after the service. Symphonic Praise 30th May This evening of worship using some of the greatest hymns of our faith, will be led by the Origin choir and orchestra, and is particularly appreciated by those who prefer a more traditional style of worship. The event will be taking place on Saturday 31st May at Glasgow Cathedral (not St Mary's on Great Western Road but the St Mungo's beside the Royal Infirmary). While there is no charge you are 7 asked to book tickets to ensure you will get a seat by phoning or going on line to Fair Trade at All Saints We have decided to have a pause in our sales over the summer as our Edinburgh supplier, One World Shop, is having to move house to allow for renovations at their home in St John s church at the west end of Princes Street. Over the last several years it has been a pleasure to organise the monthly Fair Trade sale, so as to make a small contribution in supporting farmers and producers in developing countries. These days the main supermarkets, M&S and the Co-op all sell their own-brand fairly traded products, especially tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolates. In addition the Balmore Coach House and, to a lesser extent, Oxfam sell a large range of branded products. Balmore Coach House import from Malawi the excellent Kilombero rice that we ve been selling. Very many thanks for your support and purchases over the years. I will work out how much we have been able to pass on to charity and tell Susan Gray for her records. Hopefully we ll be able to sell Christmas cards and gifts in the autumn. Pauline, Elaine, Fiona and Luke Gin Fling at St Andrew s On Friday 22nd May St Andrew's will be hosting a 'Gin Fling' when the history and mystery of gin will be explored. The evening will begin at 7.30pm and it is strongly suggested you leave your cars at home. Tickets priced 10 are available from members of St Andrew's vestry and include drinks and nibbles. It s a fun-filled holiday week with a difference - there s plenty of time to relax, make good friends and generally have a great week! You'll be part of a housegroup, made up of people your own age. This group meets twice a day to discuss study material focused on Bible passages with a theme throughout the week - the theme this year will focus on the Holy Spirit. Each group plans their own worship which they then lead when it's their evening. Faith is 8

explored with differing views and experiences being encouraged at Glenalmond. The days are also made up of activities, worship and then evening events - with plenty of time to socialise and hang out. WHO? There is an early bird price for those booking before 1st June, for more information or an application form please speak to the Rector or one of the Craig family who have been attending 'The Glen' over many years. From All Saints Registers Registers Funeral 20th April Charles M Grogan (Charlie) Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, though they die, will live. John 11:25 Easter at All Saints The main Easter Sunday Sung Eucharist was well attended, with lots of members accompanied by visiting family and with some in the congregation who had never been to All Saints before. They had the joy of worshipping in a beautifully decorated Church and the privilege of decorating our plain wooden cross with spring flowers as a symbol of the Resurrection, before the cross was moved outside into the spring sunshine as a witness to what we believe happened at the first Easter. With the early Said Eucharist also attracting enough communicants to completely fill the Choir Stalls, and including the youngsters in the Creche, altogether about a hundred worshipped in All Saints on Easter morning. Andrew Long There was a record number of nine children (plus a baby for a time) in the creche for the morning service. We kept them busy making Easter cards, doing the Easter puzzles from the magazine and other activities including chasing round the hall on various locomotives. Lighting nine candles for Jesus bids us shine was the greatest challenge as no matches were to be found but we managed. A good time was had by all and many Easter prizes were eaten! 9 10

Super soup lunch at St Andrew s St Andrew s held a splendid lunch on Saturday 18 th April in aid of Christian Aid. Seven delicious soups were prepared, bread was baked, cheese and pate purchased, bunting hung, and a grand crowd of around 30 partook of a jolly lunchtime of good food and fellowship. The amazing sum of 350 was raised for Christian Aid. Thanks to all the cooks, shoppers, washer-uppers, and to all who supported the event. Liz Macdonald ABC News "Let The Children Live" concert by Scottish classical singer Martin Aelred on Sunday 23rd March 2015 was a fabulous occasion in St Andrews RC Church, organised by the parish Justice and Peace group. It was a great success drawing in crowds from neighbouring churches and parishes. As well as raising awareness of the plight of children living on the streets in Columbia, the parish was able to send off a cheque for 2, to the registered charity "Let the children Live". Pilgrimage to Whithorn A suggestion has been made that there might be a Day Pilgrimage to Whithorn in September of this year. Whithorn is the cradle of Christianity in Scotland, and in past decades the whole diocese would make a pilgrimage there; who knows, this might be the beginning of reviving that tradition. Before exploring this idea further, or indeed making any plans, we need to gauge if there would be any interest in doing this. The early thoughts are that it would probably be done by bus leaving early in the morning, walking down to the cave, were we would have a Eucharist, and then heading into Whithorn itself for lunch and a bit of free time before heading back home. If you would be interested in this please let Kirstin know, thank you. Diocesan Overseas Day On May 9 th there will be a day conference at St Margaret s to consider how best the Diocese can respond to the many opportunities there are for engagement with the churches overseas and with some of the pressing issues around development and climate change. See the April Magazine for more details If you are thinking of coming, please contact John Riches randj.riches@virgin.net. 11 Guess Who? This lovely photo was taken in 1942 after she had joined the Wrens. She was aged 17, which was the youngest age possible to join, but too young to be sent abroad as Wrens had to be 21 and have parental permission. This young girl was sent for training to Mill Hill, north of London, where she did a lot of saluting and marching, which she loved, but washing floors was not her favourite task. After training she hoped to be part of the boat crew who ferried sailors around the port and out to ships, but there was no vacancy. Instead she was sent to Slough to be trained as a ship s mechanic where she learnt welding and joinery. Then followed work in Birdham near Chichester where her main job was repairing landing craft. She preferred the electric welding to the gas welding, which she often found scary. She was assigned to a male joiner and welder though she confesses she was always worried about the safety of the landing craft she repaired, but I m sure there was no need for that concern! During her time there she met her future husband, David, who was also in the Reserves. After VE day she was sent to Inverary, but as there was little work there she remembers frequently cycling with friends to a nearby farm where they were fed egg and chips a great treat during rationing! Have you guessed? This is Rosamond Falconer, a long-time member of St Andrew s. Rosamond, I expect Steve will be using your welding and joinery skills very soon at St Andrew s. (This history emerged after Rosamond expressed her love of ships and cruising, which she is doing during April with her family from Dubai through the Suez Canal, the Mediterranean and back home) Wednesday lunches at All Saints Our final meeting was on the 25th of March when 47 of us turned our thoughts to Easter. Kirstin lead us in a reflection entitled a grain of wheat and set the mood of our time together. We had a rather splendid lunch of fresh French bread, cheese and pate followed by hot, hot cross Buns. All our donations that day were given to our chosen missions and together with the sale of Easter Cards made by Church members and Simnel cakes also made by church members a sum of over 400 was raised. Over the summer months we will be meeting on the last Wednesday of each month we look forward to seeing you there Jenny, Philip and Sheena 12

All Saints Social and Fund Raising Group The April lunch is on Wednesday April 29th, the guest speaker is Jonathon Sedgwick who will give a talk on opera. The May lunch is on Wednesday May 27th, the speaker will be Katie Davies, her talk will be her creative involvement in knitting. A cakewalk is being organised by Mairi Ross and John Harrington on June 20th and details to follow. The June event will be a picnic to Portencross Castle on Wednesday June 24th, details to follow. The July event an outing to Largs with lunch at Nardini s is being proposed, this was very successful last year. The Wednesday lunches will start again on September 30th In October there will be the harvest bring and share lunch. Dates and details will be in the pew sheets before each event. A warm welcome to everyone to all events Regarding the proposed paperback bookstall, there will be a box at the back of the church for donated paperback books which will be appreciated. All offers of help at anytime are welcome and appreciated. Thank you everyone for your your help and ongoing support. Margaret Dunn Social convener All Saints Saints Garden Spring seems more or less to have sprung we ll ignore the snow flurries and frosty nights! With this in mind, gardening begins again. Our current system of gardening days (mornings really) works well, but we will always welcome help, whether you are one of the regulars or not. Why not come along and join in? It is far more fun gardening in company, and it has the major advantage that you don t need very green fingers, as there is always someone else who does know which ones are the weeds! We start at about 10am, usually on a Tuesday or Thursday, carry on for as long as we like, and always enjoy a lengthy coffee break with delicious biscuits or cake! There is no regular team, so if you come only very occasionally you will be just as welcome. Gardening days are announced in the pew sheet, and by where possible. We look forward to seeing you! Mairi Ross 13 All Saints Second Spring Quiz 18 April 2015 Here s a question for you: What is the significance of the numbers 693 and 909 when used together? If you could answer that question and others like it, you would have been well on the way to lifting the spoils of victory in the Second All Saints Spring Quiz, ably organised and delivered by Philip and Jenny Thomson and the Social & Fundraising Group on the evening of Saturday 18 April. Amazingly, the person opposite me at the table of Team No. 9 had a sudden flash of inspiration and before you could say Starter for 10, his pen was racing across the question sheet with the answer, much to the astonishment and delight of the rest of us on the team. Fortunately, not all the questions were quite as arcane as that one and there was a good mix of subjects and grades of difficulty, so that brain cells of all ages and abilities could rise to the challenge presented by Philip, as he paced up and down the room with that Iknow-all-the-answers-but-you-don t air so beloved of invigilators in examination rooms. Professors at play Here s another question for you to ponder: What do Spring Chickens, Old Hens, Mugs + 2, All Sinners and Suspended Politicians have in common? Yes, you ve guessed it, they re all names of teams from the quiz evening; so, you see, there was entertainment to be had even by simply gazing at the scoreboard with its list of all the team names. As well as questions to ponder, though, there was also food for thought as we made our way through to the Glenburn Hall to partake of a light buffet supper during the interval. It was a most welcome and tasty intermezzo, not least because my brain was becoming scrambled and, as well as sustenance, was also demanding reparation, restoration, recreation, recalibration, resuscitation, refrigeration, and yes, even reincarnation (a kind of revitalisation through soaking in a well-known brand of evaporated milk). Messrs Horton and Brooker, meanwhile, were most solicitous in their concern to see that our hydration levels were sufficient to cope with the mounting excitement and tension that were clearly going to characterise the second half of the contest. It was all worth it, though, because we must have had an attendance of about 7080, many of whom were from outside the church it s always good to welcome others into our midst, for otherwise we remain invisible in the community. Not 14

only did we enjoy that benefit, but the final takings at the Box Office amounted to a very creditable effort! A big thank you, therefore, to all who attended the quiz, prepared the food and drink, and hosted the event. The answer to the opening question, incidentally, is that 693 and 909 are the two frequencies (in khz) on which BBC Radio 5 Live is transmitted. But then you knew that all along, didn t you? Mike Graham Children s Corner (Grannies, Grandpas, Aunties and Uncles, as well as Mums and Dads, please use the children s corner with any children you know you might learn something too!) May 24 th Day of Pentecost (Whitsunday) Pentecost is the Greek name for the Feast of Weeks which celebrated the end of the grain harvest. It has become a feast celebrating the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and the other followers of Christ. Pentecost means fiftieth and covers the fifty days between Easter and Pentecost. The feast is also called White Sunday or Whitsunday especially in England. You can read the full story of Pentecost in Acts 2: They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tonguesas the Spirit enabled them

Spring Spring is now on its way and the weather is getting warmer. If you keep your eyes open when you are out and about you should be able to see lambs in the fields, birds gathering material such as moss, twigs, grass etc to build their nests. If you put a bird feeder up in your garden you will soon see young birds coming in to feed with their parents. Can you colour in the mother bird with her chicks? Sunday School Summer Plans During the summer holidays (from 28/06/15 to 09/08/15 inclusive) the Sunday School will be making a mural depicting the story of Joseph and his coat of many colours. We will be combining Sunday School and crèche during this period and it will take place in the Sunday School hall. The Project will be co-ordinated by the Sunday school team on a rota basis. At the end of the summer the work created will form part of a new display in the Sunday School Hall. Full details, dates and leaders will be posted nearer the time. All children will be welcome so if you have any grandchildren, nephews, nieces etc visiting over the summer please feel free to bring them along. Remember - show any of your completed puzzles or pictures to one of the Sunday School leaders and you might just get a prize. Grannies please note! A message from the Magazine Editors As this is the final joint magazine for All Saints and St Andrew s, the editors would like to thank both congregations for your many contributions over the years.
