(silence for reflection) God of heaven and earth, We name before you the sin that enslaves us, the sin that wounds us and others, the sin that scars our world. Forgive us and heal us. Guard us from all evil. Give to us and the whole creation the freedom of the glory of the children of God. Come, all who are weary, all who carry heavy burdens. I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.* On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. We are asking Faith parishioners to help in stocking the lending library by donating or loaning books of a religious content, children s books, and family classics. This is a great way to recycle those books you may have had on the shelf for some time or in storage and would help fill our new library cart (located in the Narthex). A check-out sheet will be on the cart and when you borrow an item, please jot down the book s name, your name and date. When the item is returned just scratch off your name from the list.
