Philippians 2:1-4 1 Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,
Philippians 2:1-4 2 make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.
Philippians 2:1-4 3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;
Philippians 2:1-4 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Image from: lightstock.com Our Passage for Tonight: We wonder: did the Philippian church struggle with unity?
Philippians 4:2-3 2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live in harmony in the Lord. 3 Indeed, true companion, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel,
Image from: lightstock.com Our Passage for Tonight: Paul s answer: show humility like Christ.
Philippians 2:5-8 5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,
Philippians 2:5-8 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
Philippians 2:5-8 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Philippians 2: For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
Philippians 2: so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Matthew 6:1-6 1 Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 6:1-6 5 When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
Matthew 6:1-6 6 But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
James 4:10 10 Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.
