1 Welcome to SOLEI s Extended Donor Profile SOLEI voluntarily provided the following information which will be disclosed to future parents as an aid in their selection General information and characteristics Race: Caucasian/Middle Eastern Ethnicity: Danish/Iranian Height: 179 cm Weight: 79 kg Build: Muscular Shoe size: 42 Clothing size: Large Skin tone: Medium Facial shape: Oval Lips: Medium /Green Eyebrows: Dark Brown Beard: Dark brown Hair: Dark brown, thick and wavy I am a very spontaneous, generous and cheerful person who is very openminded to almost anything. I depend a lot on my friends. SOLEI does not use prescription lenses and he does not suffer from any allergies, medical conditions or physical abnormalities. He has a slight hearing loss on his right ear, but no hearing aid is needed. SOLEI resembles the Canadian actor and musician Ryan Gosling. Click here for photos of Ryan. Academics SOLEI has been going to scool for a totally 13 years including primary and lower secondary school. After graduating from high school SOLEI plans to spend 4 additional years on education. He would like to study philosophy at a university. SOLEI s future career goals are to become a good high school teacher or to work with films. While studying SOLEI has been working in a convenience store. He has carried out voluntary work at the high school and plans to carry on doing voluntary work in the future. SOLEI s native language is Danish and he also speaks English, German and Iranian. He has not served the military. My future career goal is to be a good high school teacher or to work with films.

2 Q&A with SOLEI SOLEI answers questions about his life, experiences, and good memories Which words describe your personality? Spontaneous, generous, energetic, sympathetic, quirky, awkward, outgoing, cheerful, conflict-aversive and profound. Describe your strong sides: I try to be altruistic and generous and therefore I often give a lot more than I receive. I am very openminded to everything and I try to give everything a chance. I hardly never become mad. I try to lift the mood of everyone in my company and whenever I see someone who is having trouble socially I always try to help them get into a conversation or at least give them an opportunity to do so. I am very good at seeing the funny side of everything instead of being too serious. My mother has always been very serious and she didn t have the ability to laugh at herself when she made a mistake. I hated that. I am able to laugh at myself in a degree where it s almost pathetic. So, I have self-irony. I m very down-to-earth and I don t pressure people. I think a lot about everything and I like to reflect on my life and what happens in it. Describe your weak sides: I am very afraid of conflicts, I tend to have very nihilistic thoughts and that often makes me feel slightly depressed, I am terrible at flirting since I can t differentiate when a girl is flirting with me and when we are just talking. I have no clue of how to make myself happy and emotionally I am dependent on others. I am very self-reflecting which often makes me put up too high standards for myself which I fail. I am also very bad at saying no, which can be a good thing sometimes, but it often leads to a lot of stress and work. I do a lot of thinking and reflecting which often ends up making me very mellow. What is your marital status? Single. Do you have any children? No. Which types of sport do you play or have played? American football, karate and a bit of soccer. Which other types of sports are you interested in? I am considering to start boxing, but I am not really that interested in any sports. List any other hobbies you may have or have had: I try to be as interesting as possible, so I have had some experimenting hobbies. When I was young I used to play a lot of videogames, I still do from time to time. Sometimes I brew beer, but it tastes horrible. At my high school I have a closet with a kettle and some Instant-coffee, and I sell coffee to my classmates for 2 dkr. (about 40 cents). List which musical instruments you play or have played: Guitar, bass, ukuelele, some percussion and piano. Religion: Agnostic. How many hours of sleep do you get on an average night? 8. Do you eat healthy? I try. Do you smoke? No. Do you ride a bicycle? Sometimes. How much alcohol do you drink on average per week? 6-15 units. Which countries have you visited: America, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Norway and Romania. Describe the best holiday you have had: Once I spent my christmas with my dad and instead of an ordinary christmas tree my dad just used a lamp. So we decorated a normal lamp and danced around it for christmas, and the whole situation was just very funny. It was the best christmas I have ever had. I really liked how it wasn t about doing what everyone else has done for years and feel secure in doing the same, but more about being together and having conversations with the people you like. It wasn t about having the right ornaments or anything, we just had each other. What do you like the most about your own country: I like Denmark because you can take chances. Since we pay high taxes, everyone can switch jobs or try something new knowing that they will receive money if they are unemployed. I also like Denmark because of the dull weather. I don t really enjoy it too much when it s all hot and sweaty, and I don t like it when it s too cold either. So I think Denmark is pretty great in that regard.

3 Q&A with SOLEI - continued SOLEI s dreams, favourites and experiences Who are your idols/heroes/heroines? I think the most of my idols are my friends. I am very reliant on my friends and I shape myself after them. Almost through all of my life I have had someone I looked up to and wanted to be more like. The reason why my friends usually are my idols is because I don t want to be like my parents. Not that my parents are bad or have raised me in a bad way, but more because I am tired of their way of living. I don t want a boring, rule-filled lifestyle, with no time to questioning all of the routines and traditions I do daily. I want to be someone else than that, and I look to one of my friends and then I try to be more like that person until I find another friend I want to be like. This is probably just a phase. I m young, and it s very natural to make distance to your family. But as of now, this is how I feel and one day I will probably not need any hero or heroine or idol to be able to be myself, but right now I do. What are your goals in life? I am not really sure. I guess it is overall to produce as much happiness for everyone as possible without letting anyone suffer which is a pretty impossible task. In the past I used to practice this in a degree where I also hurted myself, since I thought I did not matter as much as my friends. But now I have learned that you must care about yourself before using all your time and money on your friend s well-being. Overall I think my goal in life is to live the most interesting and eventful life, while also being able to look back on it with no regrets and think... What were your childhood dreams: I ve not had any real dreams of having a certain job or life situation. I don t really see money as an important thing at all, but I know it is necessary in a lot of cases. I ve never had a childhood dream about having a lot of money, but I think I have thought a lot about having a job that makes me happy. I don t really know what that would be, I actually think that all jobs could make me happy if just I had the right colleagues to perform with. As of now I don t really have any dream and I don t know what I want with my life. Which values do you rank the highest? I think a lot about the environment and I almost only buy ecofriendly food, even though I am a student. Community and the sense of community is also highly valued. Which childhood experience made the biggest impression on you? Once my father tried to teach me how to cook. I was a very impatient child and I often ran around and played a lot at home, which probably was very annoying. My father explained how to cook the meal we were having, but I thought he always did things way too slow. Then I came to the point in the recipe where I had to use eggs, and I cracked the eggs and poured them to the pan. I did not wait for all of the egg-white to pour down to the pan, I just threw the rest of the eggshell in the trash. As my father saw this he went over to me immediately and said: No, no, no, you have all the time in the world. There s no need to rush this. Easy and elegantly like a swan. He said and poured the rest of the egg-white to the pan. I have thought a lot about this since and I often think of it when I am rushing through something in my life, without thinking that I have all the time in the world. Which was your greatest experience or moment? After a night out where I went to bed very late, I woke up and I was very happy and energetic. I had an amazing breakfast and a shower. While I was in the shower, I texted a lot of friends and I also phoned a few. I was so happy to talk and write with my friends for some reason. Everything just seemed so good and nice in that shower and I really felt that the world was ok. Happiest: Once I was with a girl and I played the song Melatonin by Radiohead. We kissed during the entire track, and I felt like I didn t exist. I was a part of something great. I was very happy. Funniest: One time when I was out with my friends in a pub.

4 Q&A with SOLEI - continued SOLEI s dreams, favourites and experiences Scariest: When I was about 10 years old, I wanted to watch some porn for some reason. In the middle of the night I snuck out into our living room and booted up the pc. It was my mother s PC for work and it was pretty slow and old. I went on to some website and started watching a video. After a while I got bored and tried to turn it off, but I couldn t. Some kind of virus had entered the PC and I knew I was fucked. What would my mom say? I was very paranoid and I immediatly turned off the PC and ran to my room. The following hour was the scariest of my life. I just lay in my bed, breathing heavily and sweated a lot. I considered suicide, because I was so afraid that my mom would find out I had tried to watch porn on her computer. The day after there was no virus and everything was fine, so it turned out pretty good, but I never tried to watch porn on her PC again. Proudest: I think this is very difficult to answer. My proudest moment has probably been a time where I had been recognised in some significant way by one of my friends. I have made many accomplishments during my life but I have always thought the most important things have been related to my friends or family. It was probably some time where my friends and I were drunk and we started giving compliments for some ridiculous reason. Most dangerous: Once I was out swimming with my mother and my elder sibling. We swam very far out to a point where we were able to stand on some high ground under the water. We had some fun there but after a while we could suddenly not stand anymore, and there was a very long way back to the coast. I had drowned if it werent for my sister s ability to swim and carry me. Greatest sorrow: It was either after I had went to visit a girl from America, who I had played League of Legends with online for about a year. I spent a lot of money to visit her and she didn t really care too much, and it made me very upset. Either that or the summer of 2016, where I had just come home from a depressing trip with my mom to an island called Bornholm. I met a girl and she really liked me and how I looked. We were together for a week, and then she went back home. I was very happy with her and the following months were very hard for me. What is your favourite colour? Green, there s no real particular reason. I haven t really understood the thing about favourite colours. What is your favourite animal? Elephants are pretty nice. I don t favor animals that much, but I like the elephant for some reason. What is your favourite kind of food? My dad s version of lasagna. Instead of regular pasta plates he uses tortilla chips and it is simply amazing. What is your favourite kind of music? I really like alternative rock: musicians like Kashmir, Radiohead, Wilco, New Order, Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, The National. I really like it when music is genuine and it wants to say something, like a story. What is your favourite kind of car? I really don t care for cars at all. I don t want to own one, but if I should it would possibly be a mini-cooper. What is your favourite kind of pet? I once owned a rabbit. It was very tame and we called it Johnny Depp right until we were told it was a female-rabbit. Then we renamed it into Jasmin, the princess from Aladdin. I m not sure if we ruined the rabbit s possibilty for recognision as a strong independent female rabbit by calling it a boy s name. But we did. The rabbit got cancer and died after 10 years. What is your favourite time of year? I think there s something good about all seasons of the year, so I don t actually have a favourite. But if I should name one it would be right before winter, September-October. That s when you can get good citrus fruits and start making soup to stop your cold. What is your favourite book and/or author? The book series I have read and enjoyed the most was Eragon. I haven t read many non-school-related books in my life, but I really enjoyed Eragon. It had nothing to do with school and I read it non-stop. What is your favourite movie and/or director? This is a very hard question. I really enjoy movies and I have made quite an amount of them as spare-time projects, but it would probably be something like Eternal Sunshine of a spotless mind. I am not really sure, there are so many good ones.
