The rest of the story is a dialogue between the confused, depressed, and fatigued man with Lord Krishna, the human incarnation of God. Krishna helps him reenter his hectic life with a whole new view of how to face his problems. Ralph Waldo Emerson and Mahatma Gandhi both read the Gita daily as a source for deeper soul-living. This little work contains the essence of Hindu spirituality as lived and practiced by many in India. If you want to learn about Hinduism from a primary source, and bring your weary soul to a fountain of refreshing spiritual water, join us. Are you being called to go beyond your limits and take back the power you have given away? Using dialog, introspection, group activities, and support from others on a similar path, you will develop a new concept of yourself, take ownership of your innate power, and update your beliefs about the Universe and how it works. This certificated course is a prerequisite for CSL membership as well as many classes, retreats, and trips. He despised the fans and his own decline into consumerist pop commercialism. For therapy, he wrote the music and lyrics that became The Wall. This album is, more or less, Waters autobiographical journey from childhood, through adolescence and into adulthood, chronicling his struggles with family, marriage, fame, money, sex, and the ennui that is not supposed to accompany international stardom. The story begins with the building of a psycho-spiritual egoic wall, and concludes with the dismantling of that wall. Listen to the music and explore your own soul-making story from The Wall. Still, we will help in that preparation by providing you with planning tools and conversations that ensure your wishes are followed and respected at this critical time. This class uses Trudy James film Speaking of Dying, and the 5 Wishes Living Will, a legal Advance Healthcare Directive document in Washington State, to help you express your wishes in areas that matter most: the personal and spiritual, in addition to the medical and legal wishes that you want observed. We will help you identify and describe what good care means to you, whether you are seriously ill or not, letting your caregiver, family members, and medical staff to know exactly what you want, and for your loved ones to speak clearly and confidently for you, if or when you are not able. Class topics include: Selecting Your Healthcare Agent, End-of-Life Care Options, Grief and Bereavement, Disposition Decisions, Burial Options, Your Legal Legacy, Service Planning, and more. Your Wishes helps you start and structure important documents and conversations about your quality of care near end of life. Albert Einstein was once asked if he accepted the historical existence of Jesus Christ, to which he replied: Unquestionably! No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life. (The Saturday Evening Post, Oct. 26, 1929). Like Einstein, many have wrestled with the question of Jesus identity and place in human history, religion, and psychology. This class will explore that question, covering the continuum of answers ranging from Jesus being merely a mythic fantasy to Jesus as God incarnate, and touching on the role Jesus has played over the past century in the New Thought Movement.
