Patanjali, Yoga Sutra 1.1 Getting Outside the Yoga-Asana Box to Delve More Deeply into Patanjali s Eight-Limbed Practice: An Exploration of Sensation through EmbodiYoga & Bones for Life A 300-hour program with Becky Morrissey (LPCC, LICDC-CS, ERYT500) of Sangha Yoga-Loveland & Brian Shircliff (ERYT200, RYT500, HTCP, & Bones for Life Teacher)

2 Have you ever, through your yoga practice and teaching, wondered how what we know on the mat applies to all movement in life? Come discover the heart of movement -- both on the mat and off! As Father of Modern Yoga Krishnamacharya reminds us, all movement can be asana.... We will discover the interesting conversation that EmbodiYoga and Bones for Life/Movement Intelligence are having with one another among those who study both movement disciplines... and, with this new lens, be among the first in Cincinnati and the world that are beginning to peer more deeply into the box Patanjali opened with the Yoga Sutras. Prerequisites * 200-hour Yoga Alliance-certified graduate. This offering of 300-hours augments that prerequisite to create a 500-hour Yoga Alliance-certified graduate (RYT500). * Healing Touch Level 1 (which can be taken on one s own or at VITALITY for an additional $100) -- a nice chakra review with practical applications, Healing Touch Level 1 is a thorough, hands-on introduction to chakras and is needed to assist at VITALITY programs. Payment Arrangements $2750* includes books/manuals, Bones for Life wrap, March/Spring overnight retreat, and all certification-fees $250 non-refundable deposit required with application The remaining $2500 can be paid by the participant or raised by the participant through a variety of ways: fundraising among family and friends, finding donations or winning-donors for our on-line VITALITY auctions, inviting friends to VITALITY s programs who then make donations for classes/retreats, or offering by-donation yoga/wellness classes on your own around Greater Cincinnati as part of your ongoing practicum in yoga instruction. $500 payments are required on or before: Nov 1, Dec 20, Jan 17, Feb 21, April 3. 3 Training Times: November May 2016 One nice feature of our 300-hour journey together is that participants will be able to form their own syllabus and course of study. We will all gather from 12-5:30 PM on these Sundays below, though most weeks anyone interested will have opportunity to meet earlier beginning at 10 AM for yoga-therapy mentoring sessions or special electives or occasional workshops. We will meet on 23 Sundays (12-5:30 PM) and one full-weekend retreat March Our Sunday gatherings will usually look like this: (10 am!! As-Needed/Optional peer-supervision for yoga therapy and special!!! electives) 12 noon!! A one-hour practice led by each one of us -- sign-up sheet circulating! 1 PM!!! Lunch and storytelling-conversation on Yoga Philosophy: over the course!!! of our months together, we will read and discuss small chunks each week!!! of Patanjali s Yoga Sutras, The Bhagavad-Gita, Tantric Quest (Daniel!!! Odier) 2:15!!! Bones for Life... experiencing the 90 somatic processes 3:15-5:30!! Workshop... either Yoga Anatomy/Embodiment or Guest Presenter Plus your choice of some kind of ongoing yoga-teaching practicum: begin 2+ classes on your own around Greater Cincinnati, with fees/donations at those classes going to you to pay for your tuition for this 300-hour program... you might consider establishing your own mobile-studio to share yoga and your new learnings from this program in your classes. Personal yoga-instructor insurance assistance is available through Yoga Journal, one option among many. or assist at VITALITY s programs For make-up training hours (sometimes at additional fees), participants can attend Becky s classes/workshops all over the city, including her Trauma-Sensitive teacher training, or Brian s Spiritual Exercises groups or Bones for Life classes through VITALITY.

5 Those who complete the program will receive a 300-hr certificate issued by Red Lotus Apsara -- a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS200/300), a Yoga Therapy certificate issued by Red Lotus Apsara and endorsed by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and a Bones for Life Basic Certificate in the 90 Bones for Life processes (which can be presented to any qualified Senior Teacher in Bones for Life, including Cincinnati s Cynthia Allen of Future Life Now, for Mentoring/Certification as a Bones for Life Teacher -- additional study/ fees required for Mentoring/Certification as a Bones for Life Teacher, payable to Future Life Now or any qualified Senior Teacher in Bones for Life).
