DOREAL (Part Two - Conclusion) Every plane or dimension created by the Great Mind vibrated to its own color, and the ability to perfectly sense that color by the consciousness or ego enabled it to enter other planes and dimensions at will. The color we have here or rather the color sense is the attunement with the particular plane from which that color emanates. Thus we say, That person looks well in blue or red, as the case might be. Certain colors have been found best for different forms of occult work. For instance red which is the color of the fourth dimension is best for any form of manifestation wh5jle blue is associated with healing. The color scale from the highest to lowest, as associated with the ego is thus: 1. Blue-white; 2. White; 3. Yellow; 4. Orange; 5. Green; 6. R.ed and 7. Black. The coloration of the aura designates the degree of awareness of the ego. -1-

4 In ancient symbolism the color blue, represented the element of the air. In Hebrew the word for blue (tekelet) Is derived from a root word signifying perfection. It was used in the mysteries to signify initiation into the mysteries and to the Mason is the symbol of Universal friendship. Among the Druids, blue was the symbol of truth, while the Sun-God, Amen-Ita, of the Egyptians was painted light blue. The Chinese represent blue as the color of Deity and the Hindus assert that Vishnu was a celestial blue. Blue also being the color of the ninth dimension, combined with white, the first dimensional color, making bluewhite; we have the perfect ego in the perfect body - thus blue-white is the symbol of Adeptship. The idea of unchanging life or immortality was always connected by the ancients with color green. Among the Egyptians the 'ods, Phtha, the creator and regenerator, Fascht, the preserver, and Thoth, the instructor of men in truth, were all painted green. In all the ancient mysteries, green symbolized the birth of the orid, and the moral creation or resurrection of the Initiate. The color red was the color of fire, and the symbol of the regeneration and purification of souls. - 2-

5 The color purple signifies constancy and courage in spiritual combats and is symbolized of the element of water. Originally it was the color of the robes of the Wise Men of Atlantis and for this reason was associated with water, as A t lantis was a group of Islands surrounded by water. As such it became a color peculiar to those in high places, for the ancient barbarous nations looked on the Atlanteans as Gods. Later races, remembering little of its origin, still associated it with royalty and it thus became the color of the royal vestments of kings. The color :yellow1 was the symbol of gold, and gold was the symbol of the Spiritual Sun. Among the ancients, the Divine Light or Wisdom was represented by yellow, as the Divine Heat or Power was by red. The color white is one of the most ancient and widely diffused of the symbolic colors. It was, among the Hebrews the symbol of earth and of purity. In revelations a white stone was promised to him that overcometh, and the ancient prophets always imagined Deity as clothed in white. Daniel, in one of his visions saw the Ancient of Days, whose garment was white as snow, and whose hair was pure wool. Osiris of the Egyptians wore- -3-

6 a white crown, and in the schools of Pythagoras, the sacred hymns were chanted while wearing white robes. The Druids clothed their Initiates who arrived at the highest degree, in white and in general all of the mystery schools observed the same custom. Aaron was directed to enter the sanctuary only in white garments and the white tunic of Arrauzd is still the national garment of Persia. White, among the ancients, was consecrated to the dead, because it was the symbol of the regeneration of the soul. The clothing of the victor of ancient games in white, was a symbol of the v i c tory achieved by the departed in the last combat of tije soul with death. 7 Tke ^oikeikood ^ U i i e z Dear Students and Friends: All the Staff reported back to work Wednesday after the Fourth of July Holiday, Even though it rained most of the day on the Fourth of July, everyone enjoyed having the day off. Dr. W. Whitby gave the Sunday evening Services. She spoke on The Four Planes of Existence. June Tullos, a long time B.W.T. member, arrived in Shamballa by way of Kansas City, Mo. from London. She and her husband have been stationed in London for over a year. Francis Langford from Kansas City also arrived in Shamballa with her mother, June Tullos. They visited relatives and friends over the week-end, before continuing on to Seattle, Wash. Other visitors this past week were Mrs. Ruth Valdeck and children, Steven and Dorinda from Steamboat Springs, Colo. Joseph and Erma Lubinec, B.W.T. members with sons, Walter and Kenneth, from Arlington Heights, 111. were special guests at the Sunday evening Temple Services.

8 We are always happy to welcome rotherhood Students and friends to Shamballa. It is always a pleasure to meet and talk with those we have known only through written correspondence. I do wish to again remind the new students that we have no accommodations in Shamballa such as motels or restaurants, bus service or camping facilities. We are only about 12 to 13 miles from Castle Rock which has many accommodations at reasonable rates. Let us remember to be happy and positive in speech and deeds. We build each tomorrow by our thoughts, words and deeds of today.
