2 Dear Colleagues, It gives us immense pleasure to announce that Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus, Lucknow and Department of Physics, University of Lucknow, Lucknow is going to jointly organize 3 rd National Conference on Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology-2010 from 21st to 23 rd December 2010 at Amity University Lucknow Campus. With the vibrant memories of the 1 st and 2 nd National Conference on Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology in 2008 and 2009 respectively still alive in our minds, we are again to meet for the 3 rd conference. We, also take this opportunity to introduce you with Amity and its culture which have made it one of the leading educational groups of India with over students studying across 700 acres of hi-tech campus. At Amity, we Nurture Talent and are passionate about grooming leaders who are not only thorough professionals but also good human beings with values and sanskars. In this endeavour to promote scientific research and knowledge We, at Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University, Lucknow Campus have called the 3 rd National Conference on Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology 2010 scheduled to be held from 21 st to 23 rd December, 2010 at Amity University Lucknow Campus. The Conference would be a conglomeration of young researchers and eminent scientists of cutting edge Nanotechnology who will share their knowledge and expertise and promote the theme of the conference Going small for big advances Nanotechnology is the next growth innovation and the 21 st century would be the Nanotechnology Century. Nanotechnology is going to affect each aspect of our lives, from the medicines we use to the power of our computers, the energy supplies we require, the food we eat, the car we drive, the buildings we live in and the clothes we wear. Nanotechnology is going to revolutionize areas like semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and materials. The total societal impact of nanotechnology is expected to be much greater than the Silicon Valley revolution. The aim of this conference is to hold open deliberations on the latest R & D in this exciting area. The conference will provide the first hand assessment of the existing challenges and their prospective solutions and help participants devise future strategies. The conference will provide a forum for academicians, researchers and students working on nanotechnology.
