Annual General Meeting of the SBI Pensioners Association Chandigarh Circle held on Respected Members, As mentioned above, our Annual General Meeting was a grand success. The meeting was presided by our worthy Chief General Manager Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh Ji and also attended by our respected Dy. General Manager & CDO Sh. D.B. Singh. The programme started with the playing of a krishan bhajan on flute by one of our pensioner member Sh. Preetam Chandel. For the first time in the history of our Circle Association, two doyen's of the working unions and pensioners associations i.e. SBI Pensioners Federation's General Secretary & Convener of CBPRO Sh. Ramesh Babu and Sh. Sanjeev Bandlish, General Secretary of SBI Staff Federation & NCBE and Convener of UFBU, participated in the meeting. Sh. Deepak Sharma, General Secretary of SBI Officers' Association and Sh. Parmod Indel, General Secretary of SC/ST Welfare Association of the Chandigarh Circle also attended the meeting. S/Sh. Ramesh Babu and Sanjeev Bandlish, apprised the present audience of SBIPA Chandigarh Circle, about the latest developments in the Banking Industry. Since pensioners demands are being taken with IBA in the XIth B.P.S., we are very grateful to UFBU leadership in general and Sh. Bandlish in particular. We do hope that in the time to come when the talks of XIth B.P.S. are held, this leadership would also take up with the Govt./IBA/ Bank regarding our pending demands of 100% D.A. neutralization of pre-2002 retirees, 30% pension to the Family Pensioners and updation for the retiring/retired pensioners of the banking industry alongwith other miscellaneous demands which includes the medical schemes of the Bank/Govt. 1 Editorial Board 1. Really, it was great honour for SBIPA, Chandigarh Circle to have all these above mentioned dignitaries sitting together on the same dais. I, on behalf of our Circle Association of SBIPA thank all our guests who honoured us with their participation and information provided to the members. Our Chief Guest & Chief General Manager, Chandigarh Circle Sh. Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh Ji also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the arrangements of the meeting. Sh. Singh also emphasized all the employees working and retired to adapt to Bank's "YONO" Scheme for which a special lecture was delivered by Sh. J.K. Bhutani, AGM at L.H.O. as desired by our worthy Chief General Manager. Gupta, our General Secretary was about to deliver his annual report and presentation of accounts i.e. Income & Expenditure of the Association for the year , the members present thereat approved the above with voice-vote and appreciated the Circle Association of the SBI Pensioners in running their activities in a very disciplined and systematic manner. When the event was over, the members were invited for Lunch at the Officers' Mess of Chandigarh L.H.O. 30 members of the above 75 years of age of our Circle Association were also honoured with presentation n?;aphankjha g?b;boi w/b of Shawls. We wish all of them a healthy and long life. Tej Singh Thakur Our Jind Unit organised their monthly meeting at Asstt. Secretary Sh. N.S. Thakur Hotel Utsav on at a.m. A camp Treasurer Sh. Two minutes silence was observed on the sad demise of our pensioner member Sh. Rajiv Singh Rana and son of Sh. D.S. Thakur, Shimla. The members also nominated Sh. Lekh Raj Gupta as Zonal Secretary from Mandi/Sundernagar unit. The decision/discussion/nomination would be decided in the Executive Meeting of the Circle Office bearers some time in March, 2019 and conveyed to them accordingly. GURDASPUR UNIT (PUNJAB) The monthly meeting of our Gurdaspur Unit was held on S/Sh. Avtar Singh Bhalla and Santosh Kumar Bhardwaj, who have crossed their platinum jubilee i.e. attainment of 75 years of age, were honoured with beautiful gifts. In the photograph, both our members are receiving their gifts. Well done our this unit and wish long life to our these two pensioners.
