7 IN LOVING MEMORY WE WILL ALL MISS YOU... I personally always felt honoured to be with Robb, in awe of who he was, his standards in what he did and how he conducted himself. Yet, he was still such a down to earth person whose laugh and smile would brighten me up and then you would see the twinkle in his eye and knew a Robbism was about to be imparted upon you - some you would get straight away but then out of nowhere he would give you one that would baffle you for days till, all of a sudden, the message sunk in such was his brilliance. I, like many others, have felt privileged to count him as a friend and that privileged feeling will continue. We will miss him so very, very much. Now this special person and his unique talents are needed elsewhere and we must all respect that he would want to see us move forward and achieve the goals he helped us realise we wanted to attain. His love for Allison was there for all to see and admire and showed us all how we should cherish our loved ones. Robb, we will all miss you and our hearts hurt but we will also remember and smile at the many wondrous and happy moments you gave us. 8 LIFE IS LIFE WORDS FROM ROBB Written by Robb Whitewood and Published on Facebook 2nd March Life is life, nothing more; it promises nothing and sometimes is totally unexpected. The quest for all of us is to make some sense out of our existence. Are we immortal beings that live through eternity moving from one body to another or do we just vanish into nothingness at the point of our demise? Are we to live for the future preparing for a point in time where everything will be better one day? Do we dwell in the past attempting to understand the relationships, decisions and events that brought us to this moment? The fundamental truth of all of this is no-one knows. Everyone is creating stories in an attempt to make sense of it all. You could say this is pessimistic or is it just realistic? What I do know is that today is all there is, tomorrow is just a dream and that yesterday has gone. The perfection of a day lived well is the thing that creates life. Governments, churches, schools, employers and parents all fight for a place in your mind to insert their stories so that you will give up a little or all of your today for them. In this way, we become slaves to the stories we tell ourselves. The only question you have to ask is, Am I a slave to my story or is it someone else s story that is controlling my life?
