From Our Pastor, Fr. Jim... Thanks for a great Oktoberfest!! Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, sponsors, donors and guests for making our 18th annual Oktoberfest a huge success!! This event is such a tribute to our parish and a great family evening for our community! Of course, it helped to have the power of prayer from the Poor Clare Nuns and others who pray daily for us and for good weather. What a perfect day! We are still tallying receipts and expenses, but we expect to have a final profit figure to share with you soon. The Oktoberfest proceeds go to the Capital Development Fund to pay off the mortgage on our church building. As always, there are hundreds of people to thank, including all of you who worked behind the scenes and those who donated items. Every person who donated at least an hour of their time helped make a huge difference during such a busy weekend. And every donation whether a prize, food or drink helped keep our expenses to a minimum. A special thanks goes to our lead team members: Sarah & Chris Mattingly, Anne Flournoy, Joy Warren Brandy Meyer, Judy Menzies, John & Dawn Spain Michael Ferguson, Christie Maggi, Alicia & Ryan Luechtefeld Bill & Ann Millikin, Darrell Raynor, Roy Rogge Carl & Dawn Lurk, Dennis Holdener, Alex Schillinger Kim Knaust, Dennis Collins, Kathy & Jeff Sjoquist, Jane Dotson Jen Tebbe, Rita Zinn, Leslie Goldberg, Judy Bugger Corrine Wright, Mark & Mary Huller, Randy & Meg Hardtner Nick & Peggy Snyder, Pat Kinsella, Bruce Rackers Ruth Holdener, Dave & Stacey Cutter, Nick & Angie Leonelli Ron & Laura Polillo, Jeff Harris, Karen Jalbert Becky Lamontagne, Shirley Seipp, Debbie Zimmerman Ken and Jeanne Smith, Dave Richey and Pat Jurgensmeyer What a huge amount of work they put into this event all with generous hearts and big smiles!
