FOR OTHER VENUES, THE ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO BE READ OUT BY THE CHIEF INVIGILATOR) CANDIDATES, YOU MAY ENTER THE HALL 2. ONCE THE CANDIDATES HAVE TAKEN THEIR SEATS FIVE (5) MINUTES BEFORE EXAMINATIONS BEGIN (A RECORDED ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR HALLS AT THE EXAMINATION BUILDING. (10) EACH ROW OF OCCUPIED DESKS WILL BE EXAMINED AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION MAY BE TAKEN AGAINST ANY CANDIDATE FOUND IN POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED ITEMS. (11) READ THE INSTRUCTIONS PRINTED ON THE FRONT COVER OF YOUR QUESTION BOOKLET. FILL IN THE REQUIRED INFORMATION ON THE FRONT COVER OF YOUR ANSWER BOOKLET NOW. ALL ANSWERS MUST BE WRITTEN IN THE ANSWER BOOKLET. ADDITIONAL ANSWER BOOKLETS WILL BE PROVIDED ONLY WHEN THE CURRENT ONE HAS BEEN COMPLETELY USED. DO NOT TEAR PAGES OUT OF THE ANSWER BOOKLET. ARAHAN KEPADA CALON PEPERIKSAAN (1) JADUAL WAKTU PEPERIKSAAN Calon perlu melihat dan meneliti: (a) (b) Tarikh, waktu dan tempat bagi peperiksaan kursus masingmasing seperti yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual Waktu Peperiksaan; Waktu peperiksaan bermula seperti berikut: BAHAGIAN PAGI (1) : JAM 8:30 (0830) PAGI BAHAGIAN PAGI (2) : JAM 11:30 (1130) PAGI BAHAGIAN PETANG (3) : JAM 3:00 (1500) PETANG BAHAGIAN MALAM (4) : JAM 8:15 (2015) MALAM (c) Sebarang pindaan Jadual Waktu Peperiksaan (sekiranya ada) yang dipaparkan di sekitar dewan peperiksaan/fakulti. (2) KAD PENGENALAN/PASPOT DAN KAD PENDAFTARAN PELAJAR Calon mestilah membawa bersama Kad Pengenalan/Paspot dan Kad Pendaftaran Pelajar. Calon yang tidak membawa Kad Pengenalan/Paspot dan Kad Pendaftaran Pelajar tidak akan dibenarkan menduduki peperiksaan sehingga kelayakan mereka mengambil peperiksaan dapat dikenalpasti. (3) LARANGAN Calon TIDAK DIBENARKAN- (a) membawa masuk ke dalam dewan peperiksaan atau membawa keluar dari dewan peperiksaan apa-apa buku, kertas, risalah, gambar atau apa-apa dokumen atau barangan lain kecuali barang/bahan yang dibenarkan oleh Pemeriksa/Ketua Pengawas/Pengawas;

(b) membawa masuk ke dalam dewan peperiksaan beg, tas tangan, mesin kira (calculator) dan jam tangan yang berbunyi atau boleh diprogramkan, sarung mesin kira, bekas pensil. Atas sebab keselamatan, barang-barang bernilai seperti beg duit dan dompet boleh dibawa masuk ke dalam dewan peperiksaan tetapi diletakkan di bawah meja peperiksaan masing-masing; (c) membawa masuk sebarang peralatan elektronik atau alat komunikasi termasukmusic players (mp3 players dan ipod), kamus elektronik, telefon bimbit, dan personal digital assistant (PDA). Sekiranya terdapat calon yang membawa masuk peralatan berkenaan, maka calon diminta mematikan dan meletakkannya di bawah meja peperiksaan. Universiti tidak akan bertanggungjawab atas kehilangan/kerosakan barangan yang diletak di luar dewan peperiksaan; (d) (e) (f) (g) (h). masuk ke dewan peperiksaan sehinggalah Ketua Pengawas membuat pengumuman masuk. Calon bertanggungjawab duduk di tempat yang disediakan bagi kertas peperiksaan masing-masing; memakai apa-apa pakaian yang menutup muka, pakaian yang tidak sopan dan tidak sesuai dengan keadaan, selipar, topi, seluar pendek dan sarung tangan (kecuali pelajar perubatan di klinik dan makmal) di dewan peperiksaan; masuk ke dewan peperiksaan selepas 30 minit peperiksaan dimulakan. Calon yang lewat menghadiri peperiksaan tetapi tidak lewat daripada had tempoh 30 minit tersebut tidak akan diberi masa tambahan untuk peperiksaan kertas berkenaan; meninggalkan dewan peperiksaan dalam masa 30 minit pertama selepas peperiksaan dimulakan. Calon tidak boleh meninggalkan dewan peperiksaan dalam masa 15 minit sebelum peperiksaan berakhir; merokok dan makan di dalam dewan peperiksaan semasa peperiksaan dijalankan. Walau bagaimanapun, calon boleh membawa masuk air minuman kosong/mineral di dalam botol kecil yang lutsinar dan hendaklah diletakkan di bawah meja peperiksaan. Lain-lain jenis minuman adalah tidak dibenarkan sama sekali.

(4) ARAHAN KETIKA BERADA DI DALAM DEWAN PEPERIKSAAN (a) Ketika berada dalam dewan peperiksaan, calon TIDAKBOLEH- (i) (ii) (iii) menerima apa jua buku, kertas, risalah atau gambar atau apa-apa dokumen lain daripada sesiapapun, kecuali barang/bahan yang dibenarkan oleh Pemeriksa/Ketua Pengawas/Pengawas; berhubung di antara satu sama lain walau dengan apa juga cara sekalipun semasa peperiksaan dijalankan. Jika calon hendak bercakap dengan Ketua Pengawas/Pengawas, calon hendaklah mengangkat tangan; keluar dari dewan peperiksaan untuk pergi ke tandas atau atas sebab-sebab tertentu tanpa kebenaran Ketua Pengawas/Pengawas. Jika calon hendak ke tandas, calon hendaklah mengangkat tangan. (b) Setelah berada di tempat duduk, CALON MESTILAH- (i) (ii) (iii) mengisi butir-butir kehadiran pada Slip Kehadiran dan meletakkannya bersama dengan Kad Pengenalan/Paspot/Kad Pendaftaran Pelajar di penjuru kanan meja untuk dikutip oleh Pengawas. Calon diingatkan supaya mengambil balik Kad Pengenalan/Paspot/Kad Pendaftaran Pelajar dan Slip Menduduki Peperiksaan masing-masing setelah diperiksa. menulis nombor pendaftaran pelajar serta nombor soalan sahaja pada buku jawapan. CALON DILARANG MENULIS NAMA ATAU SEBARANG NOTA KEPADA PEMERIKSA PADA BUKU JAWAPAN; dan mematuhi segala arahan yang tercatat di muka hadapan kertas soalan dan buku jawapan. Semua rangka kasar jawapan hendaklah dibuat dalam buku jawapan sahaja. Calon dilarang mengoyakkan/memisahkan mana-mana bahagian kertas daripada buku jawapan.

(5) ARAHAN SELEPAS TAMAT PEPERIKSAAN (a) Ketua Pengawas/Pengawas akan membuat pengumuman tentang tamatnya satu-satu peperiksaan. Setelah pengumuman ini dibuat semua CALON MESTILAH- (i) (ii) berhenti menulis; mengikat buku jawapan tambahan dan sebarang kertas jawapan tambahan (jika ada) kepada buku jawapan utama; dan (iii) meletakkan buku jawapan di penjuru kanan meja peperiksaan masing-masing bagi membolehkan pengawas memungut buku jawapan tersebut. (b) (c) Semua buku jawapan sama ada yang telah dipakai ataupun tidak, mestilah ditinggalkan di dewan peperiksaan. Calon tidak sekali-kali dibenarkan membawa apa jua buku/kertas keluar dari dewan peperiksaan. Kertas soalan pelbagai pilihan (MCQ) tidak boleh dibawa keluar dari dewan peperiksaan (tertakluk kepada kebenaran pensyarah bagi kursus yang berkenaan sahaja). 2. PENGGANTUNGAN ATAU PEMBATALAN PEPERIKSAAN (1) Jika Naib Canselor mempunyai sebab mempercayai bahawa keadaan atau isi mana-mana soalan peperiksaan atau kandungan mana-mana kertas soalan peperiksaan mungkin telah diketahui sebelum tarikh dan waktu peperiksaan yang sebenar oleh manamana orang selain daripada pemeriksa atau Jawatankuasa Pemeriksa berkenaan atau Pendaftar atau mana-mana orang yang diberi kuasa oleh Pendaftar, Naib Canselor boleh memberi perintah penggantungan peperiksaan atau pembatalan kertas soalan peperiksaan dan menyediakan kertas soalan baru. (2) Jika timbul satu-satu keadaan yang pada fikiran Ketua Pengawas Peperiksaan, menyebabkan perlu pembatalan atau penangguhan peperiksaan, ia hendaklah memberhentikan peperiksaan dan, dengan seberapa segera memungut kertas jawapan yang telah pun bertulis dan melaporkan perkara itu kepada Naib Canselor.

3. ADUAN MENGENAI PEPERIKSAAN (1) Jika, pada pendapat Ketua Pengawas/Pengawas dalam waktu peperiksaan, timbul kejadian yang menjadikan peperiksaan tidak adil kepada mana-mana calon, ia hendaklah melaporkan perkara itu kepada Naib Canselor. (2) Seseorang calon peperiksaan, guru atau mana-mana kakitangan Universiti boleh mengadu kepada Naib Canselor bahawa peperiksaan telah dijalankan secara tidak betul. (3) Di mana sesuatu perkara telah diadukan kepada Naib Canselor menurut perenggan (1) dan (2) di atas, ia boleh mengambil satu tindakan seperti mana yang difikirkan sesuai olehnya, dan jika ia mengarahkan bahawa satu lagi peperiksaan patut diadakan, peperiksaan itu hendaklah dianggap sebagai peperiksaan yang ditetapkan di bawah mana-mana Kaedah atau Peraturan yang menguasai kursus yang berkaitan. (4) Sebarang aduan oleh mana-mana guru Universiti bahawa peperiksaan telah dijalankan secara tidak betul atau bahawa peruntukan mana-mana Kaedah atau Peraturan yang berkaitan telah tidak dipatuhi, hendaklah dibuat kepada Naib Canselor dan Naib Canselor hendaklah menyiasat aduan itu dan melaporkan keputusan penyiasatannya kepada Senat. Senat pula boleh mengambil tindakan seperti yang difikirkannya sesuai. 4. TINDAKAN TATATERTIB KERANA KETIDAKPATUHAN ARAHAN AM PEPERIKSAAN Tindakan tatatertib akan diambil terhadap calon yang melanggar manamana arahan yang dinyatakan di dalam Arahan Am Peperiksaan ini atau arahan tambahan yang dikuatkuasakan dari semasa ke semasa.

SCHEDULE B GENERAL EXAMINATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. INSTRUCTIONS TO EXAMINATION CANDIDATES (1) EXAMINATION TIMETABLE Candidates must observe and take note of: (a) The date, time and place for each examination paper as stated in the Examination Time Table; (b) The starting time of the examination which is as follows: MORNING SESSION (1) : 8:30 (0830) AM MORNING SESSION (2) : 11:30 (1130) AM AFTERNOON SESSION (3) : 3:00 (1500) PM EVENING SESSION (4) : 8:15 (2015) PM (c) The notice boards located around the examination hall/faculties from time to time for the latest amendments made (if any) to the Examination Time Table. (2) IDENTIFICATION CARD/PASSPPORT AND STUDENT CARD Candidates must bring with them their Identification Cards/Passport and Student Cards. Candidates who fail to bring their Identification Cards/Passport and Student Cards will not be permitted to sit for the examination until their eligibility to take the examination has been verified. (3) PROHIBITIONS Candidates are NOT PERMITTED to- (a) take into or take out of the examination hall any book, paper, article, picture or any document or item except for items that are permitted by the Examiner/Chief Invigilator/Invigilator; (b) bring into the examination hall any bag, handbag, calculator and watch that emit sounds or is programmable, calculator casing, pencil bag and pencil case. For safety reasons, valuables such as wallets and purses are allowed to be brought into the examination hall but must be placed under the respective candidate s desks, (c) bring in electronic devices including handphones, pagers, and PDAs. If candidates are found to have brought in any of the above mentioned devices, they will be asked to place the said devices outside the examination hall. The University will not be held responsible for the loss of or damage to such items placed outside the examination hall;

(d) enter the examination hall until the Chief Invigilator makes the announcement to enter. Candidates are responsible to seat themselves at the places assigned for the respective examination papers; (e) wear any apparel that covers their faces, are indecent and not appropriate for the occasion, slippers and gloves (except for medical students, at the clinic or laboratory) in the examination hall; (f) Candidates who are late but arrive no later than 30 minutes after the examination has started will be allowed to take the examination but will not be given extra time to complete the examination; (g) leave the examination hall within the first 30 minutes of the commencement of the examination. No one is allowed to leave the examination hall 15 minutes before the examination ends; and (h) smoke and to eat while sitting for examiantion in the examination hall. However, candidates may bring into the examination hall drinking water in a small transparent container/mineral water and place it on the floor below the examination table. (4) INSTRUCTIONS WHEN INSIDE THE EXAMINATION HALL (a) When in the examination hall, candidates are NOT ALLOWED to- (i) (ii) (iii) receive any book, paper, article or photo or any other documents from anyone, except for items that are permitted by the Examiner/Chief Invigilator/Invigilator; communicate with each other in any way whatsoever while the examination is underway. If candidates wish to speak to the Invigilator, they must raise their hands; and leave the examination hall to go to the lavatory or for any particular reason reason without the prior permission from the Invigilator. (b) Once candidates take their seats, THEY MUST- (i) (ii) fill up details of attendance on the Attendance Slips and place it together with the Identification Cards/Passport/Student Cards on the right hand corner of the desk to be collected by the Invigilator. Candidates are reminded to take back their Identification Cards/Passport/Student Cards after the cards have been checked. write only the registration number and the question number on the answer booklet. CANDIDATES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WRITE THEIR NAMES ON THE ANSWER BOOKS; and

(iii) obey all of the instructions printed on the first page of the answer books. All drafts or outlines of answers must be written only inside the answer books. Candidates are not allowed to tear out any pages from the answer books. (c) Disciplinary action will be taken against candidates who breach any of these Regulations. (5) INSTRUCTIONS AFTER THE EXAMINATION HAS ENDED (a) The Chief Invigilator/Invigilator will announce the end of each examination. After this announcement has been made, CANDIDATES MUST- (i) stop writing; (ii) tie any additional answer books and graph papers (if any) to the main answer books; and (iii) place the answer scripts at the right-hand corner of the examination table for collection by the examiners. (b) All answer books/sheets whether used or unused must be left in the examination hall. Candidates are prohibited from taking out any books/papers whatsoever out of the examination hall. (c) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) answer sheets are not allowed to be taken out of the examination hall. 2. SUSPENSION OR CANCELLATION OF EXAMINATIONS (1) If the Vice-Chancellor has any reason to believe that the condition or content of any examination question or the content of any examination paper may be known before the date and time of the actual examination by anyone besides the examiner or the relevant Examination Committee or Registrar or any person given authority by the Registrar, the Vice-Chancellor may issue a directive for the suspension or cancellation of the examination paper and the preparation of a new examination paper. (2) If, there arises a situation which the Chief Invigilator feels requires a cancellation or suspension of an examination, he must end the examination and as soon as possible collect all written answer books and report the matter to the Vice-Chancellor. 3. COMPLAINTS REGARDING EXAMINATIONS (1) If, the Chief Invigilator/Invigilator feels that during the examination, there arises a situation which renders the examination unfair towards any candidate, he must report the matter to the Vice-Chancellor. (2) Any candidate, officer or teacher may complain to the Vice-Chancellor that an examination has been conducted in an improper manner.

(3) Where a particular matter has been reported to the Vice-Chancellor, according to paragraph (1) and (2) above, he, may take any action which he considers to be appropriate, and if he directs that another examination ought to be held, the examination concerned shall be deemed to be an examination stipulated under any Rule or Regulation that governs the relevant course. (4) Any complaint by any teacher of the University that an examination was conducted in an improper manner or that the provision of any relevant Rule or Regulation was not observed must be made to the Vice-Chancellor and the Vice-Chancellor must investigate the complaint and report the results of his investigation to the Senate. The Senate may then take any action that it considers to be appropriate. 4. DISCIPLINARY ACTION FOR NOT OBSERVING THE GENERAL Disciplinary action will be taken against candidates who break any instructions given in the General Examination Instructions or other instructions enforced from time to time.
