Another Degree Event Added for Candidates! A total of five degrees A banquet A museum trip for the ladies Live entertainment The Valley of Cincinnati is responding quickly to an increasing demand for degree presentations by offering yet another opportunity for Master Masons to become Scottish Rite Masons! Those who wish to continue to enhance their Masonic experience are encouraged to spend the morning at the Cincinnati Masonic Center on Saturday, May 10 for the 4º, 6º, and 24º and then return the following Saturday, May 17, for the 14º and 32º. The special degree events are open to new petitioners, new initiates from the Spring 2014 Class, and all Scottish Rite Masons in good standing. We will offer the 4, 6, and 24 by utilizing the official videos authorized by the Supreme Council. After viewing these three degrees, candidates will then be eligible for the 14 and 32, being exemplified live as part of a special day for candidates, members, and their spouses or significant others. Petitions will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. on May 10. For your convenience, a petition is included in this issue of The Rite Recorder, says Fraternal Secretary Michael A. Himes, 33º. On May 17, candidates will be chosen Grand Elect Masons and presented their 14º rings. After the 14º, they will witness the 32º and be proclaimed Sublime Princes of the Royal Secret. The day will conclude with a 32º banquet in the ballroom and, after dinner, live entertainment in the Scottish Rite Auditorium from the Van-Dells. The banquet and concert are included for candidates. An order form for members is available in this edition of The Rite Recorder, or you can avoid missing the May 9 deadline for orders by purchasing your tickets online at 32masons.com.
