St. Bernard Stewardship Commi ee members are Roger Storms, Tom & Lori Kasel, Mary Lou Wildung and Doris Mielke. Ascension Stewardship Commi ee members are Sue Tellers, Jan Pouliot, Gary & Marilee Widmer, Wendell & Joan Stuewe and Marlene Robinson. Our stewardship commi ees have generously given many hours in planning, coordina ng, and crea ng these helpful and user -friendly stewardship documents and newsle ers. In this process they have worked with parish staff and parish ministry leaders to make known to us opportuni es for us to grow in faith & love of God and opportuni es for us to serve God, one another and our greater community through our parish ministries. They also provided us with helpful tools to assist us in prayerfully considering how we believe God is calling us to give financially. Their work blesses our parish by reminding us of the fundamental truth that ALL WE HAVE IS GIFT. We exist because God is generous and gives us the gi of life. My next breath is a gi. Simple things, essen al things are GIFT: My hands, my eyes and my sense of coordina on and balance. My ability to learn and develop skills is a gi. My rela onships are a gi. My me is a gi. We will have 2 intentions: (1) for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon families of Ascension and St. Bernard Parishes and (2) reparation for the sins of the world. Lutheran-Catholic Worship Service: 500th Anniversary of the Reformation Sun. Oct. 8, 2017. St. Bernard & Ascension Parishioners are encouraged to come this ecumenical worship service. It will be at noon at All Saints, NYA. We will have a simple reception afterwards. Ascension & St. Bernard Altar Server Training/Review All boys and girls ages 8 & older, grades 3-12th are invited to Altar Server training 6:30pm 7:45pm (during Faith Formation class) Wednesday, October 11that St. Bernard. Last spring we re-worked the Altar Server duties to be the same at both parishes (for the most part). THEREFORE, WE ASK ALL CURRENT SERVERS AND THOSE WHO DE- SIRE TO BECOME SERVERS ATTEND. Church of the Ascension Norwood Young America, MN Appalachia Christmas 2017 Ascension will once again participate in the Appalachia Christmas 2017 project, sponsored by the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women. Marian Reconsecration & Mass for the Centennial Celebration of Our Lady of Fatima Apparitions Friday, October 13, the whole world will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady at Fatima, Portugal.
