I Wedding Banns John Cerar & Theresa Marsella Altar Linen Society Volunteers Needed: Linens used in the celebration of our Liturgies are cleaned by the Franciscan Sisters at Graymoor. Once a week, on Sunday afternoon, a rotating corps of parish volunteers brings the linens to Graymoor. We will shortly be developing our schedule for 2016. If you already are an altar linen volunteer, please confirm to Mary-Jo your availability. Contact: Mary-Jo at 413-8176 or mgallo6762@aol.com. St. Joseph's Corner. This week we invite you to continue on your journey in holiness by focusing on three simple ways to grow in grace. The first is to go to Confession at least once a month. Confession not only removes the stain of sin, it also gives you the graces that you need to grow in holiness. The angels and saints always rejoice in Heaven when a person goes to Confession. The other two ways to help bring God's blessings into your home is by having a priest bless your home and then having Holy Water easily accessible for daily use. A lot of modern families believe that Holy Water is only for emergencies and store it away in a cabinet like a fire extinguisher. However, a font near the front door allows people to bless themselves throughout the day. Or even a bottle of Holy Water near family members' beds allows parents to bless themselves and their children before going to bed each night. We also invite you to learn more ways to grow in holiness as a family at our next St. Joseph's Workshop on Friday, November 13 th at 7:00pm in the Main Church. The Ministry for Families is holding an organizational session on Friday, October 30 at 7:00pm in the Parish Center Meeting Room. The Ministry for Families is in the planning and early implementation stages of a new monthly series entitled St. Joseph's Workshop. Come see what we are all about and how you can help this program thrive. We are eager to hear all ideas. Everyone is welcome.
