TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEKEND JUNE 2nd/3rd Catholic school teachers do a great job, not only here at St. John Fisher, but throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago. Their dedication to the educational mission of the Church is enormous and that dedication often involves a considerable sacrifice when it comes to financial compensation. Ask any Catholic school teacher if it s worth it, and the answer will be a resounding YES! Once again this year, we hope you will choose to participate in our special Teacher Appreciation Collection with the proceeds to be distributed equally among all our school teachers and aides. Beginning this weekend, special envelopes are on the tables at the church doors which we ask to be returned to the rectory office before June 3rd or in the special collection the weekend of June 2nd/3rd. Each year since the collection began, we ve been able to give each teacher and school support member a check for $100.00 not like winning the lottery or the Fisherfest Raffle, but still a welcome and much-deserved gift, especially just before the end of the school year. It would be great if we could add to that appreciation this year. ALUMNI NEWS St. John Fisher alumna, Catherine Rogers, was recently named a National Merit Scholarship Winner.
