Trinity Choir 40th Anniversary Celebration It was the Fall of the year in 1978, and something was about to begin at Most Holy Trinity. Macrina Dodson and Anita Roseborough along with Frank and Peggy DeMar were asked by Fr. Timothy Swope, our associate pastor, to start a folk choir and so it began. Now, 40 years later, the choir wishes to celebrate our years of music ministry here at MHT. On September 8, we will present a coffeehouse for the people of the parish. It will take place in Trinity Hall from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The choir will share some of its favorites along with some solo and duet acts. John Bukowski, our MHT Music Coordinator, will share a few of his favorite piano songs. Free pizza, desserts, and drink will be available for all. Please sign up in the Gathering Space in order for us to know how much pizza to order. See you there!! Families and the Gospel John 6:60-69 Even though many found the teachings of Jesus difficult, He did not back down. In our families it is important to say what is difficult to hear.

Thank you...and Farewell For many decades The Friar s Shop (Loretto, PA) has served the local community providing religious gifts for every occasion. Through the years we have often sold both baptism and wedding gifts for the same recipient. It has been a true pleasure to build relationships with so many faithful, regular customers. However, times have changed a great deal. It is hard for any brick and mortar store to compete with the online giants. It is with great sadness that we must announce that the Friar s Shop, Loretto PA is closing. Our last day of operation will be Saturday September 15 th. We will be offering storewide discounts to help reduce inventory. We thank you all for your friendship and support through the years! May God Bless you all. Stewardship Reflections Can you embrace Joshua s choice as your own: As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord (Jos 24:15)? Christian stewards eagerly decide to serve the Lord, and strive to not let the destructive gods of society; materialism, relativism, individualism, and consumerism, control their lives.
