A Message From The Society of St Vincent de Paul In today s Gospel, Jesus asks, Do you also want to leave? We must ask ourselves if we really want to hear the good news of His love for us and for others. Is the word of God able to break into our consciousness, change us and call us to hear the cries of the poor? This past month, thanks to YOUR generous support, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to hear the cries of the poor, by assisting over 650 people, providing more than $23,000 worth of food and over $7000 to cover utility, medical and other bills. This Montessori based religious education program is designed to speak to little children. Religious Education / Sacrament Preparation Information Registration for all Religious Formation classes, Sacrament Prep and Junior & High School youth groups has begun. If you missed last month s registration weekend, you can come in to register Mondays-Wednesdays. Orientation meetings for the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion begin this week (August 7 at 10am & 6 pm) in English and the next weeks after (August 13 or August 20, 6 pm) for Spanish Orientation so it is important to register your child ASAP. Children s Liturgy of the Word This program is for elementary children K-4th Grade and is held during the 10am mass. We are looking for a couple of volunteers for this program to be assistants once a month.
