St Pius St X Pius Council X Council 10762 10762 My worthy brother Knights, When you look into a mirror, you see an accurate depiction, or rather reflection of your actual outer self; in other words you see your physical body. This is also what someone else sees when they look at you. What we do not see is the inner reflection of your soul, your inner being, the true you. What you see is guided by your life experiences which may have created possible prejudices, biases, contempt for different ideas, or a love of fellow brothers, the desire to serve those who are most needy, the desire to work in unity, the pure desire to walk in the footsteps of our Lord. Our perceptions lead us to assumptions which do not reflect what we see or even what is reality. It is difficult to see the real person in front of you. Your passions may lead to wrong assumptions. So the moral in this is, do not act on what you assume but rather, before making either a negative or positive judgment of the person you see, on what you learn about that person, get to know him, speak with him in a meaningful manner and learn what drives him, what sort of person he is. Treat him as your respected brother. Follow the tenets of our illustrious Order, starting with Charity Our Catholic faith teaches us to Love thy neighbor as thyself. Show love and compassion when Meeting / Event Date Time Location Council Breakfast 1st Wednesday of every 9:15 AM after morning Mass Happy Rooster, 1114 S Sarnoff Dr, Tucson, AZ 85710 1st Degree or Degree Team Practice (Candidates report at 7:00 P.M.) Our faith in God compels our actions. Unity None of us is as good as all of us together. We stick together and support one another. This does not mean that we always agree or that there is never a difference of opinion. It does mean that as a Knight of Columbus, you can count on the support, kind advice and encouragement of your brother Knights. Fraternity we watch out for and take care of one another in a fraternal circle of family. Finally, Patriotism we are proud of our devotion to God and country and believe in standing up for both. We revel in the strength of our diversity. As Knights, we remind the world that Catholics support their nations and are amongst their greatest citizens. In the final analysis of our lives, our steadfast adherence to our Catholic Faith and our Order will be judged by God as we face Him before the Pearly Gates; will He greet us with well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of your Lord, or not. As your Grand Knight, I am proud of all of you and am positive you will be greeted with His love. Vivat Jesus Your fraternal brother in Christ, Emmanuel M. Dutch Steenbakker, Grand Knight 7:30 P.M.
