HURRY - rates go up after Sept. 1st Weekly Religious Education Grades 1-6 Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday 4:15 to 5:15pm Begins first week of October For Grades 7 & 8 (Candidates for Confirmation are asked to participate in a minimum of seven sessions of their choosing) 2nd and 4th Sundays Starting September 23, 2018 1:00 2:30 p.m. For Grades 9 12 (Candidates for Confirmation are asked to participate in a minimum of seven sessions of their choosing) 1st and 3rd Sundays Starting September 16, 2018 1:00 2:30 p.m. Family Faith Formation Begins Sept. 9th OR Monthly Sunday Mornings: 9am-12noon Family Faith Mornings Include: 9am Mass, Breakfast, Family Session, Peer Sessions Classes and youth ministry sessions are made possible by the many young adults and adults who commit their time as catechists or core team members. These are students, parents, relatives and parishioners who volunteer their faith, time and talent. The all-new youth ministry worship team is kicking off in September, and we are looking for middle school and high school musicians with a heart for worshipping God through music to join us! We are seeking singers, guitar players (acoustic or electric), bass guitar players, keyboard players, and drummers for our new, contemporary music ministry. We will rehearse bi-weekly, and provide worship music for Life Teen, Edge and other youth group activities. We will provide the music and coaching, you bring your talent to the church for God to use! AUGUST 19, 2018 Bake Sale Next Weekend, August 25th & 26th To Benefit THE ESSENCE OF STEPPING STRONG: TURNING TRAGEDY INTO HOPE On April 15, 2013 Gillian Reny was standing near the finish line of the Boston Marathon with her family when two bombs went off and turned a beautiful day into a heartbreaking tragedy. Gillian was critically injured and rushed to Brigham and Women s Hospital where doctors and nurses worked heroically to save her life and legs - a miraculous outcome. Forever grateful, the Reny Family established the Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation with a mission of transforming outcomes for civilian and military heroes who suffer from devastating traumatic injuries. True to the Boston Strong spirit of kindness and collaboration, Stepping Strong inspires physician-scientists, medical fellows, community members, runners and donors to come together for a common cause: transforming trauma research and care for countless patients and families around the world. Summer break is a wonderful time to work on crafting projects for the Parish Craft Fair, November 10. The Women s Guild is excited to once again present a craft and bake table for unique gift shopping. We will accept donations of new hand-crafted items and suggest some of our popular sellers and new ones too! Knitted scarves both (outerwear and light weight eternity), fleece wear (hats and mittens), lap blankets, Mason jar crafts (online has lots of ideas), adult size aprons, tote bags, wire jewelry, bracelets and pendants. Our beautiful 8-inch potted mums, produced by a New Hampshire grower, are priced at $7.50 each or 3 for $21.00 ($7.00 each for three or more plants). Proceeds from this event help to support the club s educational programs, provide for holiday wreaths at public buildings, and maintain the club s 8 community gardens located throughout Bedford.
