Dear RBC, One of my favorite weeks of the year is coming up next week. It is the week when every hall of the church that is typically quiet is suddenly buzzing with the sounds of children learning about Jesus Christ. Of course, I m talking about Vacation Bible School. Why do I love VBS? It is because I realize that every generation of children arrives 100% unreached. And unless we are intentional about getting them the Gospel, they will never know the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. VBS is simply one part of a multi-faceted strategy to partner with parents in our area to make disciples of the next generation. So be praying for Vacation Bible School. Here are some ways you can pray: Pray that the Gospel will be clear to children and families, and that many would respond with faith in Jesus Christ. Pray for many opportunities to share the Gospel in the opening exercises as well as throughout the day. Pray for the teachers and all volunteers. Ask God to receive their many hours of preparation as a pleasing offering and for the Holy Spirit to be at work in and through them. Ask the Lord to sustain them even in moments of weariness throughout the week. Pray that we will be able to build relationships with children and families that will lead to Gospel conversations. Pray for those who are unchurched in our community who will join our church for VBS. Pray the Lord brings in families who need Christ and that we as a church are diligent and Spirit-led in making disciples of these families. 2

VBS is all about spending an intensive week focused on sharing the Gospel with the next generation, with the intention of building continuing relationships with families as we partner with parents to disciple children to become growing followers of Christ. So thank you in advance to all who have planned, prayed, prepared and worked so hard to make this week a success. I am thrilled with anticipation about what God is going to do through RBC next week in VBS. With love as your pastor, Travis Did you know that if you have a computer you can go to RBC s website and listen to the Sunday sermons. www.richlandbaptistchurch.org CBBA BOYS CAMP 2018 JULY 26 th 29 th Cost is $160 For boys who have completed 3 rd 6 th grade. A more detailed summary is available by request.
