Food for Thought: At first Jesus words amazed the people in the synagogue But suddenly, that amazement gives way to skepticism The people begin to murmur and Jesus responds to their murmurings; the people become insulted and they turn violent God speaks to us through others all day Sometimes what people say may offend us or make us bristle but God still speaks to us through those words If we are tuned in to God s voice, we can recognize gracious words even when they challenge us rather than flatter us We are called to live the truth even if it challenges us or causes discomfort January 31 ---No Sunday School ---No Religious Education Classes February 1 ---Religious Education Classes for Grades 1-5 at 3:45pm-5:00pm ---Bible Study at 6:30pm in the Parish Office Center Conference Rm February 3 ---Religious Education Classes for Grades 1-10 at 6:30pm-7:45pm February 4 ---Religious Education Board Meeting at 6:30pm in the Parish Center Conf Room Looking Ahead: The Week of February 7---Sunday School as scheduled ---No Religious Education Classes SMM Youth Ministry Upcoming Events Saturday, February 13, 2016 St Valentine s Day Cookie Service Project, Pizza Party & Delivery Family Event 9:00am-12:00pm Friendship Hall Bring a snack to share, thanks!
