FAITH FORMATION SNAPSHOTS As the old saying goes, with many hands, make light work. The STBAFF program has witnessed this throughout the year with consistent support and presence of so many wonderful volunteers. We are truly blessed to have parishioners/parents offering time and talent in the areas of greeting, parking lot assistance, adoration during class, teaching/assisting in the classrooms, office support, weekly meals and other miscellaneous areas. Our program has also been blessed with the experience of joining two parish FF programs together to provide an overall stronger program. This success comes from the willingness from parishioners, parish leadership and parish organizations to collaborate and compromise. As a staff, it is heartwarming to see the crossover of volunteers who come to help out, whether or not the program is hosted at their home parish. This is true compromise and teamwork! It is also demonstrates the commitment to a successful faith experience for ALL students. In addition to our weekly volunteers, we also have many talented people who step forward to coordinate special events, and serve on special committees. So many ways to be involved! At the end of December the STBAFF program made the transition from St. Bernard s to Ascension for classes January April. A great deal of preparation took place prior to class beginning at Ascension. A cleaning crew prepared the FF building and the rectory, technology needs were set-up and kitchen needs were addressed. The Ascension Knights of Columbus coordinated the move by providing manpower and a trailer to transport the Atrium shelving and all large program materials back to Ascension. Beside our KC s, there were many other families, students and parishioners who also loaded their cars/trucks with supplies and aided with the move and assisted with the set-up of the classrooms. For many of you who have visited the Atrium s, you will understand the volume of work it takes to move these materials from one place to another! Our first FF class kicked off on January 10 th with a welcoming Hillcrest chicken meal provided by Ascension Catholic United Financial to all families. What a way to start off the year a warm meal and fellowship! THANKS to everyone who has and continue to support the STBAFF program. Your kindness never goes unnoticed!
