I m blown away! Have you ever felt like you were part of something so much bigger than you, and much more significant than you realized? I have that feeling when it comes to our church and I hope you will, too. When Hilary and I moved to Huntington Beach, God gave us a glimpse of what was to come, but we had no idea it would be this fun! What has happened in the past couple years is nothing short of an act of God. He is moving in our community He is doing something special in our church AND I M SO GLAD YOU ARE A PART OF IT! The team and I have created this piece to give you a taste of the journey so far and also to give you a glimpse of the journey to come. God is leading us into a new season by opening a new door and a NEW PLACE. Mariners Church Huntington Beach is already known for being real, genuine, caring, and making a difference in the lives of people around us and we re just getting started! Imagine what s still to come as we together, STEP IN! Here s to the journey, Caleb Lead Pastor, Mariners Church Huntington Beach 1 50 years ago a group of people gathered together with the vision to reach their neighbors with the Good News of Jesus. They prayed God would open doors and create a space where His Word would be taught and people in their community would learn about His love. Mariners Church was born. Decades later, a new chapter is being written in the story as Mariners Church has become a network of churches. And God is doing something very special here in Huntington Beach. Our church has quickly grown to nearly 1,000 people in weekly attendance. About 800 new people have experienced Rooted in the past three years. Life groups have grown from 6 to 34 groups. We went from one to four services in two years. Hundreds of people are regularly engaged in volunteering. Our Outreach efforts are making a meaningful impact in places like Oak View, Pacific Court, and Mexico. Men s and Women s Ministries are building great momentum. We ve hired several new and fantastic staff. but MOST importantly
over 200 people have been baptized and many more have made new commitments to follow Jesus! That s why we do what we do; to see lives transformed. and It s happening! 4 Which brings us to this moment and to an exciting problem our church has been facing: We re running out of space. We can t stay where we are any longer. It s time to move on. And God has opened a new door for our church allowing us to reach even more people in the greater Huntington Beach area We re leasing the discount movie theater at Beach and Warner. Yes that one with the parking structure. Did you know that Beach and Warner is the second busiest intersection in Orange County? With over 100,000 cars passing our new location each day, just think about the potential to offer grace, truth, hope, and love to so many! This new ministry space will allow us to do much more for our people and for the people God will bring in the future your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors.

Beyond the incredible visibility, the theater at Beach and Warner is incredibly strategic. In fact, if you would have asked us to name the perfect existing structure for our church in Huntington Beach, we would have said, The Regency Movie Theater! It s in the heart of HB, but also much more accessible to Fountain Valley, Westminster, Garden Grove, Huntington Harbor, Long Beach, and Costa Mesa It s in close proximity to the Oak View neighborhood, where God has directed our Outreach efforts. It s already designed to seat lots of people. There s a parking structure that can accommodate our growth. And, it s cool! Not only that, but we get to be in it 24/7 (instead of constantly renting rooms everywhere) and we get to design our own spaces to fit our needs children, students, etc. Okay, no beating around the bush. Here s the simple truth: The only way beautiful dreams become concrete realities is with financial generosity. In other words, money. That s just real. In the next two years we need to raise $1,500,000 over and above weekly offerings. We d like to raise more for future renovations, but $1,500,000 gets us what we need to make this place our own a place we can be proud of and a place our community will feel at home. Every gift matters! Every gift large and small is important to meet this need. We want to be all in for our community, for our church, and for God s kingdom.
Here s the real order of things and how you can be directly involved in this next season of our church: Step 1: PRAY Pray that our church would really rally toward the vision of reaching more of our neighbors with the message of Jesus. Pray for this new ministry space where our church can continue to grow and serve HB that the acquisition and construction would be smooth and efficient. Ask God, What do you want to do through me to fulfill your will for our church? Step 2: GIVE Give a gift now. And make a pledge commitment to give through June 2017. Will you join us in this next step of faith? Will you jump in and pray for the future of our church? Will you help our church become all that God intends us to be for our community? We can t do this without you. STEP IN!
