CONGRATULATIONS! All at St. John Fisher School are delighted to hear news of the success of any of our graduates. This week we received the awesome news that former Falcon Tom Dowling of the class of 2010 was named a RHODES SCHOLAR. Tom will graduate from the University of Illinois in May and continue his studies at Oxford University. Only 32 students across the country have earned this prestigious award. Congratulations Tom. You still hold the school record for accumulated Accelerated Reading Points acquired. GIVING TREE Christmas is quickly coming and there are still opportunities to participate in our Giving Tree project. The Giving Tree is in the back of the church and will benefit the impoverished families of Robbins. The tree is decorated with ornaments and on each is written either male, female, teen, boy or girl and ages. If you choose to pick an ornament off of the tree we ask that you purchase a gift for the person you have picked. The dollar amount of the gift is up to you although we ask that the gift is for a minimum of ten dollars ($10.00). Each gift should be wrapped and on the outside clearly marked (just as the ornament was labeled) who is to receive the gift. We ask that you drop off the gifts at the rectory no later than December 15th so that they are available to give to the families at the Pro Labore Dei Christmas Gift Party on December 16th. If you have any questions, please contact Pam O Mara (773) 612-0281 or Amy Goggin (708) 215-2090. 2018 PARISH CALENDARS 2018 calendars will be available at all the church exits beginning December 24th and throughout the Christmas Season.
