Do you plan to volunteer with kids? Please Read... The archdiocese requires all adults who work and/or volunteer around children to complete VIRTUS training. In order to keep our children as safe as we can, the program requires adults to complete a training session and submit to a background check. So, whether you are coaching, teaching, or volunteering, you MUST be VIRTUS-certified BEFORE you participate. If you have attended a training session, you can check your status online at virtus.org. If you have NOT been trained yet, please check our website or go to virtus.org and click on registration to find a training session that fits your schedule. You can attend a VIRTUS session anywhere in the archdiocese. Several parishes have sessions scheduled for the beginning of August. St. Ann is hosting a VIRTUS training session September 9 th, from 6-9 pm. Please visit virtus.org to register. Email Stephanie Meeker at smeeker@stannpv.org if you have any questions. We really appreciate our volunteers! Thanks for helping keep our children safe! Last year, over 50 local Catholic doctors committed themselves to 'First Saturdays,' an ongoing doctors formation event which meets from 9-11 am the first Saturday of each month for Holy Mass, Reconciliation, and catechesis. We know there are many more local doctors who would benefit from this vital program. The Catholic Medical Association, School of Faith with Mike Scherschligt, and the male branch of the Apostles of the Interior Life invite all Catholic doctors to 'First Saturdays.' Please help return medicine and healthcare to the goal of service and healing.
