Father Dennis Goth (continued): Father Goth was honored at the Assembly 243 business meeting held on June 9 th for serving as Faithful Friar and also for his support and devotion to the general knight s membership. A reception followed the meeting complete with a special cake decorated in his honor (see below). It was a joyous gathering with many knights congratulating Fr Goth who is leaving St Lawrence for a parish assignment in Tipton, Indiana as Pastor of St John the Baptist Church. We will miss Fr Goth but wish him the best with his new assignment. An array of photographs provide insight to the special gathering: Father Dennis Goth with the congratulatory cake. The cake was beautifully decorated. Many congratulations and best wishes were offered by the estimated 50 knights in attendance: Grand Knight Jim Carnes served the cake. Assorted photos of knights in attendance reveal the general mood of the evening
Council Receives Pinta Award for 2013-14 Knights of Columbus, State Council has awarded our Council 560 one of their coveted Discovery Awards. The Pinta award is one of three Discovery awards: the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria. Qualifications for these awards are determined by the Officers, Directors, and Chairmen of the Indiana State Council. Qualifications for the Pinta Award include meeting minimum activity requirements for each of the five content areas (Church, Community, Council, Family, and Youth) and meeting all other council specific activity and reporting requirements. The award, recently received by our council, was presented to Past Grand Knight Tom McComish by current Grand Knight Jim Carnes. Tom received the award for the council for activities and achievements during the 2013-14 year when he was Grand Knight. The Pinta award is new to be given (2009-10) by the State Council. At the Knights of Columbus, every product we offer has been designed solely for the benefit of our members and their families. When I present an option to you, it is because a team of experts has discussed it at length to be certain it serves your best interest. We have a few options on how you can provide and pay for whole life coverage that your family needs. We offer whole life permanent coverage with guaranteed cash values (and the potential to earn dividends) through policies that offer a limited period of premium payments. First we offer 10 Pay Life and 20 Pay Life. Consider paying premiums of 10 or 20 years and never pay for the coverage again. The plan is paid up with no more premiums! A plan with similar benefits is Life Paid Up at 65. This product requires you to pay premiums until age 65. Premiums stop just in time for retirement and the plan remains in force. Finally, the ultimate in limited pay is our Single Premium Life product. Imagine buying permanent life insurance and only paying a single premium? It is possible.
