Father Dennis Goth (continued): Father Goth was honored at the Assembly 243 business meeting held on June 9 th for serving as Faithful Friar and also for his support and devotion to the general knight s membership. A reception followed the meeting complete with a special cake decorated in his honor (see below). It was a joyous gathering with many knights congratulating Fr Goth who is leaving St Lawrence for a parish assignment in Tipton, Indiana as Pastor of St John the Baptist Church. We will miss Fr Goth but wish him the best with his new assignment. An array of photographs provide insight to the special gathering: Father Dennis Goth with the congratulatory cake. The cake was beautifully decorated. Many congratulations and best wishes were offered by the estimated 50 knights in attendance: Grand Knight Jim Carnes served the cake. Assorted photos of knights in attendance reveal the general mood of the evening

Council Receives Pinta Award for 2013-14 Knights of Columbus, State Council has awarded our Council 560 one of their coveted Discovery Awards. The Pinta award is one of three Discovery awards: the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria. Qualifications for these awards are determined by the Officers, Directors, and Chairmen of the Indiana State Council. Qualifications for the Pinta Award include meeting minimum activity requirements for each of the five content areas (Church, Community, Council, Family, and Youth) and meeting all other council specific activity and reporting requirements. The award, recently received by our council, was presented to Past Grand Knight Tom McComish by current Grand Knight Jim Carnes. Tom received the award for the council for activities and achievements during the 2013-14 year when he was Grand Knight. The Pinta award is new to be given (2009-10) by the State Council. It is our first time to be received by the council. On right, Past Grand Knight, Tom McComish, receives the State Council Pinta Award in recognition of Council 560 work and achievements in 2013-14. Current Grand Knight, Jim Carnes (L), made the award at the June 2 nd council business meeting. The Sack Lunch Crew at Work on June 3 rd Making sack lunches for the Harvest Soup Kitchen is not new for the crew present for the effort this June. Eight to ten knights sign up at the business meeting, usually a day or two before gathering at the Family Center to make the lunches. On this date there were eight regulars that assembled the lunches. Thanks for your effort, fellow knights! Knights making sack lunches were (L to R): Tom Eulitt, Ron Kratz, Jack Holland, Jon Sullivan, Jerry Bricker, Marvin Sue, Art Wessel, and Tom McComish.

Welcome to the Order, fellow knights! Ways to Pay for Whole Life We live in a world of options and are constantly bombarded by choices. Some choices make our lives more complicated but many are created with our satisfaction in mind. At the Knights of Columbus, every product we offer has been designed solely for the benefit of our members and their families. When I present an option to you, it is because a team of experts has discussed it at length to be certain it serves your best interest. We have a few options on how you can provide and pay for whole life coverage that your family needs. We offer whole life permanent coverage with guaranteed cash values (and the potential to earn dividends) through policies that offer a limited period of premium payments. First we offer 10 Pay Life and 20 Pay Life. Consider paying premiums of 10 or 20 years and never pay for the coverage again. The plan is paid up with no more premiums! A plan with similar benefits is Life Paid Up at 65. This product requires you to pay premiums until age 65. Premiums stop just in time for retirement and the plan remains in force. Finally, the ultimate in limited pay is our Single Premium Life product. Imagine buying permanent life insurance and only paying a single premium? It is possible. These are some examples of our offerings. To learn more about these products, our long-term care insurance, disability income or retirement products, please call me today. Seminarian Prayer Lord Jesus, we ask Your special blessing on those preparing for the priesthood in our seminaries. We pray they will grow in faith, hope and love. May their hearts overflow with Your compassion, understanding and generosity, and may their desire to serve You inspire others to answer Your call. Give them courage and perseverance and be their constant companion as they prepare to serve You and Your people with faithfulness. Lord, give our seminarians the grace to continue to answer the call to follow You on their journey. Lord Jesus, fill the hearts of our seminarians with the fire of Your love. Make them holy as You are holy. Amen Please Support the Seminarians Through the 2015 Seminarian Fund Appeal
