Worship Service He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace Ephesians 1:4-6 Prelude Welcome Silent Prayer of Preparation Call to Worship Philippians 4:19 *Hymn of Trust Though Troubles Assail Us #79 *Invocation and the Lord s Prayer Confession of Sin O God our Father, you are Lord and King. Robed in the majesty of your glorious, perfect light, you rule and reign over your creation in justice and might. All the earth, indeed all creation waits before you; the angels, the cherubim and the saints at rest adore you. You have set before us your holy laws, and we have broken them. We have done what you have forbidden, acting as a law unto ourselves; and we have neglected what you have commanded for our own selfish reasons. We have made ourselves liable to all your righteous judgments and punishments. O Lord, we seek your face once more. We confess our sins and our sinfulness. We turn to you, for you have shown yourself merciful and gracious to all who confess their sins, and repent of them, through Christ. Restore us, we ask, for Jesus sake, whose blood was shed for the forgiveness of sins. Renew us in faithfulness and obedience this day, and grant us the joy of your salvation. In our Savior s name we pray. Amen Assurance of Pardon Ephesians 2:8-9 *Songs of Praise Jesus Messiah Chris Tomlin He became sin, who knew no sin That we might become His Righteousness He humbled himself and carried the cross Love so amazing (2x)

An Opportunity to be a Minister of Mercy Liberty's Ministry of Mercy has openings for a few more willing servants. Our Lord calls us to demonstrate our love for Him by loving and caring for each other. The Mercy Needs Ministry does this by sending flowers, cards and notes of encouragement to hurting brethren; providing various forms of practical assistance (including financial, through the generosity of Liberty members) as well as budgetary counseling to those in need; and praying for the flock. We meet together on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. Ministries of Mercy bless not only those who receive the help, but also those who offer it. Please prayerfully consider participating in this ministry, and contact either Deacon Jeff Jordan or Doug Womer, or Elder Michael Anderson if you are interested. Mercy Needs Request There is a need in the Body for companionship for a disabled person (ambulatory). This would involve a commitment of several hours per week, two days a week for a lunch outing or similar activity. The Mercy Needs Committee would reimburse for expenses. Please contact Doug Womer or Jeff Jordan from the Mercy Needs Committee if you are interested. Urgent Need for Counting Team Help There is an urgent need for two members to serve on one of our counting teams which counts on Sunday afternoons. Training could start in September. Please contact Brian Moran. Men s Ministry Men s Ministry Baltimore Rescue Mission You are invited this coming
Saturday September 16th at 7pm for Liberty s monthly men s outreach to the Baltimore Rescue Mission. Contact Jeff Watkins at 410-549-4507. Men s Wednesday Night Bible Study, 7 pm Meets in the Parlor Men Join us for a new study on the Book of Acts as we see how the Lord grows the church and us to maturity. We will delve deep in the Word so that we have a better understanding of scripture and how it applies to our daily lives. Howard Hill will be leading the study with others assisting. Contact Howard or Pastor Barry for more information. A study guide will be provided. To get the most out of our study, we ask you to come prepared by utilizing the study guide. Youth Group Youth Group is for 6-12 grade students every other Sunday night beginning this evening, September 10th at 6:30 p.m. in the Block House. We will be playing games, singing praise songs (If Andrew and Daniel can lead us,) and talking through what the Bible teaches us. The Westminster Confession of Faith will be our curriculum guide. Each week we will try to unpack and put into modern language the Bible truths that are articulated in the Westminster. So, the first week, Sunday, September 10th, we will be talking with the youth about the word of God: What does the scripture say about itself? What do we believe about the bible? We won't be communicating what game we'll be playing each week, you'll just have to come to find out. You can bring a snack to share. If you would like more information about youth Sunday School, Fellowship in Students Homes (FISH), service projects, and other events contact the church office at office@libertychurchpca.org.
