Originally buried on the Atwell SIMMONS homestead in Riley Township, removed to DeWitt Cemetery by her family ca. 1890. 2. There is a CCV flag holder on this lot which is probably for Leroy who was in Co C 2 nd Cav (Civil War) but some sources also indicate that his father, Dr. Hiram STOWELL, was a veteran of the War of 1812. 3. This may have been entered in the sexton's in error. It is more likely that this entry was intended for lot D26 as the STOWELL's were related to the BAKER's by marriage. 4. Military -- "Henry H.
