Today we are celebrating the Profession of Faith of Megan DePooter, Jillian Lubbers, Jocelyn Kraayenbrink, and Timothy Kraayenbrink. We give thanks to God for the faith journey that has brought them to this day. A warm and special welcome to family and friends that are visiting with us today to celebrate. A special welcome to all those who are visiting with us today. We are so glad you are here. FAMILY CIRCLE: We give thanks that Laila MacKenzie was able to return home on Wednesday. Please continue to pray for a full recovery for Laila. Continue to pray for all our seniors, those who suffer illnesses, and those who are lonely or shut-in. May they feel God s presence in their lives and may He bring healing. Last Friday's "Strawberry Social": Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy our annual "Strawberry Social" at our Coffee Fellowship on Friday, June 30 th at 10 am in the Fellowship Hall of the Living Hope Christian Reformed Church, corner Exmouth street and Pontiac Drive in Sarnia. At this special occasion, Arlene Van Reenen, a recent graduate of "Western University" will share with us her experiences as a student and athlete at Western, and how she able to share her faith. Arlene will high-lite her place for the coming year, working with "Athletes in Action". WCS GRADUATION: The Wallaceburg Christian School invites you to attend the graduation of our Grade 8 students on Wednesday, June 21 beginning at 7:30 pm at the Wallaceburg Christian Reformed Church. As we plan and prepare for this event, happening August 3-5 in Detroit, Mich., please join us in praying for the event and all who will attend. This week, please pray for breakout speakers in sessions about family, marriage, parenting, and doing life together in community. Pray for them as they make decisions about topics and as they prepare messages. Pray that God will guide them as they present and discuss, and that people will be blessed by their words and ideas. Council News from June 13, 2017 1. Council had the special privilege to listen to the Faith Stories of Megan DePooter, Jillian Lubbers, Jocelyn Kraayenbrink, and Timothy Kraayenbrink. With thanks to God for each of them, Council welcomes them all to full membership in the church. The Profession of Faith Service will be this Sunday, June 18 th. 2. Mitchell and Jocelyn Kraayenbrink will be presenting their boys Angus and George for baptism on Sunday, July 9 th. 3. Council approved lapsing the memberships of Adam Maguire, Katrina Kraayenbrink, and Amelia Authier. Please always keep them in your prayers and continue to pray that at some time they will join us again. 4. Council approved the purchase of a pager system at an approximate cost of $200. Transponders will be installed in each of the classrooms and the nursery. The pager will be carried by the scheduled roamer. The pager will help to make our church a safer place. The roamer will be able to be notified if help is needed in any of the class rooms or nursery. Roamer training will be scheduled. 5. The Installation Service of Elders and Deacon will be on Sunday, June 25 th. Dick Bulsink and Charley Feddes to be ordained as Elder, and Bill DePooter as Deacon. 6. Council thanked Casey DePooter, John Lubbers and Charley Feddes for their faithful work and service over the past three years. 7. Council approved various church bookings. 8. Council will meet for a Special Council Meeting on Monday, June 26 th at 7pm to decide on the Council Executive and Committee Reps. 9.
